Although I've heard mixed reviews about different Glossier skin care products, the Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum is one that I keep coming back to. This product contains two main ingredients: Niacinamide - if you haven't heard by now, niacinimide is oily skins best friend, as it helps control and balance oil production and can make pores look smaller, but it's also great for all other skin types as well. Niacinimide supports skin barrier resilience, improve an uneven skin tone, and helps the skin repair damage Zinc PCA - derived from zinc, zinc PCA is a skin conditioning ingredient that can also prevent aging by fighting destructive enzymes in the skin that can lead to lose skin, wrinkles, and dullness For more information on both of these ingredients, I recommend Paula's choice skin care directory. https://www.paulaschoice.com/ingredient-dictionary This is a product that I keep coming back to because, true to its name, I always find that my skin is much clearer when I am using this product, and I have less random pimples than usual. As I have oily skin, I also use this product to make my pores look smaller and control all the oils my face makes. This serum is oil free and almost looks like water, and it absorbs super fast when I put it on. It does leave a slightly sticky feeling after it absorbs, but honestly I don't mind it because I put moisturizer on top of it and it goes away. You can use this product twice a day, but I tend to only use it at night because I use vitamin C during the day, and those don't mix well. I think $28 for 30 ml is a fair price for this product, and even if there are cheaper niacinimide serums out there, my skin really seems to like this one, and for that I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

Combination acne prone sensitive skin regimen
I know how certain people feel about using the “noncomedogenic” ingredients list but I personally prefer using it when buying my body products. Most of the ingredients on the comedogenic ingredients list have broken me out. Especially coconut oil. I just wanted to share the products that I love and use and would recommend them for anybody but especially people who suffer with acne. ANDALOU NATURALS - Cleansing Gel, Citrus Kombucha, Clear Skin ANDALOU NATURALS - Exfoliating Mask, Kombucha Enzyme, Clear Skin makeup artist's choice - Pumpkin Exfoliating Mask W/5% Glycolic Acid Peel Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum makeup artist's choice - Lac-Luronic Serum Lactic Hyaluronic AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay Derma-e radiance toner with glycolic acid. Aubrey aloe Vera You do not have to use The Ordinarys peel mask and the MUAC’s pumpkin mask as well. I personally like the pumpkin mask best but The Ordinarys peel mask does deliver the same results. I have done extensive research on the Aztec bentonite clay since I have read some complaints about it. There is controversy on using apple cider vinegar on your face. On the safe side, I would only use water. You can use an old makeup brush, like a fluffy blush one (cleansed with water and soap) to mix the water and cay together. I also like to pour some of my Aubrey aloe into the mixture to get some skin soothing in there. Dermatologists recommend using the mask once a month to purge pores since clay is a very drying ingredient. I would start with 5 minutes and see how your skin does. ALWAYS patch test a new skin care or any product on the inside of your arm before applying it to your face. Wait 24 hours to see how your skin reacts. If there is no reaction, then you should try it on your face. Note: You should not use niacinamide with any acids, like glycolic and lactic acid as it will cause what is called a “niacin flush” which will basically turn your face temporarily red but should not burn or itch. It will also reduce the effects of your acid and niacinamide. You should apply the niacinamide in the mornings and your acids at night. Or use them on alternate days. Acids can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, that is why it is best to use them at night. I also wanted to add that your makeup and lip balm can also be causing acne. Most lip balms, lipsticks and foundations contain cocoa butter and coconut oil. I use shea butter on my lips and you can buy a tub of it at Target for just a few bucks. I use an spf bb cream as my foundation and a non comedogenic blush from Pacifica.

Mixing Lactic Acid with Niacinamide
Picking your Niacinamide: Choose products with at least four or five percent concentrations— which has been clinically proven to reduce pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and acne and at five percent was found to improve redness and sallowness. Things to know when mixing Niacinamide and Lactic Acids: When you mix them together, the niacinamide will raise the pH of the acid; the higher the pH, the less the skin absorbs and the less effective the products. Another problem with mixing niacinamide and acid is that it can cause redness and flushing. Not a welcoming outcome when you’re trying to beautify your skin So how do you properly layer Niacinamide and Lactic acids? 1. Apply them at different point of the day Niacinamide is non acidic and can be used with other non acidic serums and lotions with little waiting/ absorption time. Include this water based treatment before oil based serums in the morning when you’re less likely to have time to wait. When using lactic acids it is usually recommended that you wait 5-30 minutes for the product to absorb into the skin before applying other serums and lotions— maybe this routine will better suit for night time or when you have more time to unwind. 2. Apply them 30 minutes apart This way, each product have time to absorb into the skin, give your skin time to return to its normal pH and allow each product to work at its intended pH. When layering products, start with products with the lower pH (acids), allow 30 minutes and follow with your higher pH serums like niacinamide. I got the GUGUG - Skin Scrubber from Amazon and I LOVE THIS!! I have so many blackheads and I got so many out. I didn't think it would work and that it would bother my skin too much, but it did neither. It works really well (follow the directions!! they're important) and even though I have sensitive skin it bothered me a little but only because you're literally forcing out blackheads, so there's going to be a little inflammation. **The last clip is what I wiped off of the spatula. I know it looks strange because of the lighting, but basically the scrubber mushes all the gunk together so you won't see individual blackheads anymore that came out so that's why it looks weird. After I used the skin scrubber on the Cleansing setting, I wet my face again and applied Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serumto calm down my skin and then I tried a rosacea / acne friendly moisturizer, the Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer SPF 30since it's lightweight and finished off with Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray to get rid of any last redness. My tips are: 1. Follow the directions! There's 4 different modes so pay attention to what setting is best for what you need. 2. Use a calming product afterward, like products aimed to help with rosacea and redness. The ones I named above are good examples. 3. If you use it to cleanse, then don't wash your face afterward, since you really just forcefully washed your face, so continue with your skincare routine. 4. Always have a product or something moisturizing on your face to keep your skin from getting really irritated or potentially damaged because the metal tip can leave marks if you're not careful. It's sharp enough where it can do damage if the skin isn't protected, but it's dull enough to not break your skin. But don't let this scare you - it's a great product if you don't want to pay $$$ for a blackhead extraction since it's around $20 and if you struggle with blackheads then this is definitely for you!! :)

Best Niacinamide(b3) Serums— Clear Skin for Days
I’m addicted to niacinamide (aka b3!) as a skincare ingredient. One of the most powerful topical antioxidants, it reduces oil and sebum production (less clogged pores!) and also helps reverse hyperpigmentation and scarring. It keeps my skin clear and soft like no other ingredient within skincare, and so I always have a serum of it on hand to make sure my skin stays texture and blemish free. An effective concentration is 5-10%, used once a day. Any more than that will cause irritation! This ingredient shouldn’t burn or sting. If you’re experiencing that and redness, you’re likely allergic to it from a niacin allergy. First up is my HG serum Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum which I’ve been using since it dropped around four years ago. It’s solved so many of my problems, and the 5% niacinamide content doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s not sticky, it smells and feels like water and sinks in very easily. I’ve never had irritation or any issues with this, and I use four drops every night. The fact they made the bottle twice as big for the same price is a huge plus, and means that I only have to repurchase once every three months. I prefer this formulation because it has very little fillers, all the ingredients included in the formulation are either healing or hydrating The second best I’ve found is REVOLUTION - Blemish and Pore Refining Serum - 10% Niacinamide + 1% Zinc which sells for around 7$ at Ulta. It’s really a bargain. It’s a higher concentration of b3, which I noticed started irritating me. When I cut down usage to once every two days using only two drops, the irritation went away. You could also dilute a little bit with toner, which is what I did as well. It’s a bit sticky, but not overwhelmingly as it sinks in quickly and the stickiness disappears. The formulation also has very little fillers and has similar healing ingredients to the glossier serum and doesn’t pill at all, which is why I prefer it over The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% formulation. Sadly I see a ton of people using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and while it’s cost effective, the formulation really is sub par and the included ingredients are mostly fillers, rather than beneficial healing topicals. Do you use nicinamide? For me, it’s truly been a game changer ingredient in getting and keeping my skin super clear!
