BEST LIP PRODUCTS FOR FALL 💖💋✨ #CheriePartner
Lipstick colors are one of my favorite ways of showing a change of seasons. For example brighter, warmer shades are my go-to for spring and summer, while deeper mauves are my favorite for fall and winter! Here are my must-haves for Fall!!! Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Like I’m pretty sure I’ve talked about this lipstick a billion times but it’s one of the constant lip products I have with my all year. The shade is a perfect “my lips but better” and works will every single makeup look and every occasion! The formula is soft matte, not a hydrating formula, but works perfectly on top of a balm. It’s not super pigmented but definitely leaves a tint to the lips! ORIGINS - Blooming Sheer Lip Balm in 08 Night Bloom This glossy, sheer balm is beautiful on the lips both in terms of the shade and formula. It’s moisturizing and leaves a beautiful warm berry color to the lips! It’s not long-lasting but is super easy to reapply throughout the day. LANCÔME - L'absolu Lacquer Gloss in 306 This product a hybrid between a lipstick, gloss, and tint. It applies super glossy with a tint of color but as soon as you rub your lips together, the formula changes into a thicker more pigmented cream like a lipstick! When the shine fades, the color is still on your lips. UZ - 38°C/99°F LIP TREATMENT in -4 It’s a weird looking product in the tube, but definitely makes it more intriguing. I love the concept of this lip balm/gloss hybrid- the shade name -4 (degrees celsius) dictates the way it’s supposed to make your lips look. So this shade makes your lips look like it would in super cold weather- basically a deep berry color! Charlotte Tilbury - Superstar Lips Lipstick in Everlasting Kiss This is a super glossy, thick formula from Charlotte Tilbury. It’s a long-lasting glossy lipstick that gives quite a lot of shine and color! I love that the bullet is super thin and easy to apply. This color is a warm toned nude that really helps to brighten my complexion! lisa eldridge - True Velvet Lipstick in Velvet Muse One of my favorite matte lipstick formulas ever! It’s super creamy-but-matte, pigmented, and long-lasting! This shade is the classic mauve pink shade that I always gravitate towards in a row of lipstick. It’s just super flattering and wonderful to wear!

BRAND SPOTLIGHT: GLOSSIER
Glossier is a brand that I’ve always admired. Their marketing is truly amazing and there’s no other fanbase so dedicated to one brand. With that said, they have come out with some great products and some that leave me disappointed. The Hits: Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Like, Jam, Leo & Cake I love this lipstick. I have gone through 2 tubes of the shade Like and 1 tube of the shade Jam. It’s beautiful on the lips, slips on easily, and doesn’t dry them out despite being a soft matte formula. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color in Storm, Dawn, Puff, Dusk & Haze If you love the watercolor blush look, this is the one for you. It’s a super lightweight and thin formula that blends in seamlessly into the skin. It meshes really well whether or not you have foundation underneath and the finish is undetectable on the skin! The shade Dusk also doubles as a warm-toned bronzer! Glossier. - Vinylic Lip High Shine Lacquer in Pony & Bank If you’re looking for glossy, pigmented color, these Vinylic Lips will definitely impress you! Not only are they long-lasting, they leave a stain on your lips once the gloss wears off so you’re never left without color! It’s not sticky and leaves a decent amount of shine- it’s my lip gloss dream! (Hint: Glossier Vinylic Lip > Glossier Lip Gloss) Honorable mentions that aren’t pictured (AKA products I ran out of and haven’t had time to repurchase): - Boy Brow Adds volume, color and small fibers to thicken the brows for a natural, bushy look! - Brow Flick Perfect for natural brow days where I want to pinpoint the areas in my brows to add a few strokes of brow hairs! - Lash Slick The only way to get “lash extensions” without getting them! This adds lots of length and a bit of volume- it also never smudges on me! - Stretch Concealer My no-makeup makeup day ESSENTIAL. I seriously have to pick up another! It adds coverage and looks just. like. skin! The Misses: Glossier. - Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil in Disaster Class & Stable Relationship It’s such a shame I don’t like these because the color range is so unique and fun. The formula is just way too hard and it tugs on my eye area (which I cannot tolerate)! If these were creamier, I’d buy literally all the shades. Glossier. - Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow in Fawn & Cub These aren’t the worst that I’ve tried from Glossier, but I’ve tried better from other brands. These liquid eyeshadows look promising when you first swatch them with the applicator but once you take a brush or your finger to blend, it blends away into nothing. It just looks like a faded pile of shimmer on the lids. It only works if you apply it with the applicator, leave it alone and don’t try to touch it! Glossier. - Glossier. Lip Gloss in Clear This gloss looks beautiful but it’s sticky and feels thick. No matter how thin of a layer I apply, it’s uncomfortable and drying! It’s beautiful for editorial photos though!

“FEEL-GOOD” MAKEUP LOOK
Although I’m staying at home all day and seeing no-one besides my boyfriend, I find that putting on some makeup helps me feel more put together and productive! Here is my “feel-good”/“cheer-me-up” routine for quarantine: 1) BRONZER NUDESTIX - Nudies All Over Face Color Bronze + Glow in Terracotta Tan This creamy bronzer is the perfect neutral shade that isn’t too warm or too cool-toned. It adds the perfect amount of color to my face and definitely minimizes any dullness in my skin. It’s pigmented but easily blendable for a flawless natural effect. 2) BLUSH NUDESTIX - Magnetic Plush Paint - Lip, Cheek & Eye Color in St. Tropez Blush always makes my skin look brighter and more radiant. It also just makes me look healthier! This multi-use product can also be used on the eyes and lips. It has a thin-consistency but blends out seamlessly without disrupting any base products underneath. 3) BROWS benefit - Double the Precision Brow Pencil Duo in 4 Brows define the face so adding a bit of color and thickness definitely helps to frame the face! It makes a huge difference- and this brow pencil is super skinny so you can simply fill in any “bald” spots and add a few strokes where you want more thickness and definition. 4) EYESHADOW ARMANI beauty - Eye Tint Liquid Eyeshadow in 23 I don’t want anything crazy but just a hint of color makes the eyes pop! I love this eye tint because it has a thin-consistency (just like the Nudestix Plush Paints) and applies sheer-but-buildable. I only apply this along my lashline and blend upwards for a soft shadowy look. 5) MASCARA L'ORÉAL - Unlimited Length and Lift Waterproof Mascara Mascara is SO important to me because it frames my eyes and makes my eyes look bigger and more awake! I love this mascara for lash definition but it doesn’t add too much volume. 6) LIP STAIN Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick in Like For just a bit of added color to the lips, I love this lipstick for a stained effect. It’s a soft-matte lipstick that’s incredibly creamy but sheer and the shade is a perfect “MLBB” shade! 7) LIP GLOSS Too Faced - Lip Injection Extreme Lip Plumper The best “cheer-me-up” product is lip gloss. It just adds shine and makes my lips look and feel more pouty! This gloss is not sticky at all and has a tingling effect that plumps up your lips slightly.

I have to admit I have been in love with the asthetics of Glossier for a couple years now but the price point always made me hesitant. This year I FINALLY decided to take advantage of their Cyber Sale. Overall, I wasn't left disappointed! Glossier definitely has the "no makeup makeup" concept down and I was super impressed with how well some of the products helped me achieve this look. Glossier. - Boy Brow This is for sure a new staple in my makeup bag! The formula is light and performs beautifully to give your brows a natural shape. I previously used the e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel as a dupe recommendation and I personally don't think it's a comparable dupe at all. While the results are similar, Boy Brow is more waxy and moveable, while Wow Brow leaves my eyebrows crunchy and weighted down. Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick I really wanted to love this lipstick. I adore the concept and it genuinely gives a blotted lipstick look. I love the color (I purchased like) because it gives me a "my lips but better" color. However, I can't get over the waxy plastic smell they claim to be lychee rose. It lingers on my lips and it's a no for me because of the fragrance. Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder This really is WOWder! It's light as it claims, eliminates some dewy shine from your face, and works wonders to even skin tone and blurr large pores. It's a new favorite in my makeup collection and has replaced light foundation when I want a simple no makeup look. Glossier. - Balm Dotcom Hands down the best lipbalm I have ever used, no question about it! I purchased the original and mint, which I use several times a day now. I plan on purchasing more in the near future so they can live all over my house and in my purse forever and ever. Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid I was nervous about this product based on the reviews I read. It really does give a healthy glow to the skin that looks like it comes from within. I use it as a natural looking highlighter too. But it doesn't completely dry down, thus one star removed. Glossier. - Stretch Concealer This isn't a medium or full coverage concealer, but in my opinion it still performs beautifully. After applying it under my eyes I noticed the area looked brighter and I looked more awake. It doesn't cover redness but it does even skin tone some and looks like my skin, but better. I don't have any creasing either after wearing it all day. Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara I love everything about this mascara EXCEPT it sometimes flakes. It really gives my lashes a natural look and again, "my lashes but better." I am on the hunt for a dupe that doesn't flake. Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color These are everything they are hyped up to be and more! I purchased Beam and Dusk. Both look beautiful, are highly pigmented, and give my cheeks a healthy natural glow.
Day of Glossier ✨✨✨(makeup)
(Note: not sponsored by Glossier, I don’t post enough to warrant someone wanting to sponsor me 😂🙌🏼 just a huge fan) Okay! So today I spent the entire day trying on Glossier products, after purchasing to my personal (obviously not my bank account’s delight) delight with their yearly/ Black Friday sale- I got so many friends special gifts from this. This brand feels somewhat polarizing to me, but I gotta say, their resurgence in makeup popularity didn’t seem too surprising to me. I get that it’s not for everyone, but don’t knock one of their products until you try it! Here’s how it went with everything: Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick this is the first time I’ve ever felt good about wearing a matte lipstick. I have dry skin and lips and I was insanely positively surprised. Didn’t even exfoliate the night/ morning before, nor were my lips that hydrated at all. This glides on really nicely, contrary to when I first saw models applying an earlier version of this formula- it looked like they really had to pull to drag the stick across their lips. But it feels way more effortless to do so! I got it in Cake, their neutral brownish pink shade. So perfect for fall and winter, and makes my hazel eyes pop! The wear is long lasting, and there’s some sort nostalgic smell going on here. I will be forever repurchasing this as my go-to lipstick. Lastly, love how this product really clicks to close so securely. My biggest pet peeve is when lipsticks or products with caps accidentally open up and cause you to look product in your makeup bag or purse! Glossier. - Boy Brow y’all have heard me rave about this product enough lol. It keeps my brows in place and thickens them without drying down stuff or tacky. Fantastic formula! Glossier. - Lash Slick Mascara loved this! Humble brag: my eyelashes naturally curl easily, so take that as the reason why I knocked it down to 4 out of 5. It’s a great fit for my lashes and works well with them, but I don’t think this is a fit for everyone. Regardless, works well for bottom lashes. Last positive- does not transfer! Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color in both Dusk and Beam. I lean towards neutral colors and wanted a neutral look here, so these were perfect. Highly pigmented cream blush where a little goes a long way, spreads easily, and truly is long-lasting. I additionally used Dusk on my eyes for the monochromatic look. The only product not Glossier was my favorite drug store concealer- e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer it slips with you without setting into fine lines and truly is hydrating. My eyes feel so good with this after nights of salty food or if I’m dehydrated one morning. It’s buildable in coverage too. If you are going to buy yourself or gift someone concealer, it needs to be this one!
Easy (five minute!) makeup for ZOOM Meetings
Doing my makeup and feeling put-together is one of my favorite things, however I don’t always have the time or energy to be able to achieve a full-face beat every day. Soft and gentle glam, I use this look when I want to feel ~soft~ and glowy, but only spend minimal time on it. I start with NARS - Radiant Creamy Concealer which I use all over my face, spot concealing redness of pimples, around my nose and lips, tip of my nose, and between my eyebrows. This brightens and evens your skin tone without a full face of foundation. You can use primer if you want, when I do I use a blurring primer like TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer or beautyblender - Pore Minimizing Primer which smooth skin and even look good just on their own. I set with BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder and then move on to my eyes. I use one eyeshadow palette with a few colors, two of my favorites are NATASHA DENONA - Mini Nude Eyeshadow Palette and EM COSMETICS - Limited Edition Divine Skies Eyeshadow Palette which have both mattes and shimmers. Important: they don’t patch! This makes blending a breeze. I put a neutral brown in my crease and outer V, then layer a dark brown in my outer v and smudge on my lower lash line. Adding shimmer is optional, but I usually do. For this I just use my finger and swipe on the lid. All powders for my face bronzer, blush, & highlight applied with one fluffy brush. I apply blush by pinching the powder brush in my fingers to elongate it to place product where I want— my fav is PATRICK TA - Monochrome Moment Velvet Blush which applies smoothly on all skin (prepped or not). I layer with benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer in a 3 shape, and finish with whatever glowing highlight i feel like. In this image it’s OFRA - Nikkietutorials Everglow Highlighter Brow filling is optional, but brushing them up with a gel helps you look awake and youthful with little effort. Finish with mascara and a tinted lip balm or moisturizing lipstick like Glossier. - Generation G Sheer Matte Lipstick or EM COSMETICS - EM Cosmetics Lip Cushion and you’re ready to go in less than ten!

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
