Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector
Why Cherie Love ItUnlike physical scrubs, this award-winning liquid peel uses a 10% blend of skincare acids to “unglue” dead skin and sweep it away, leaving your skin smoother, softer, and glowier.
Why It's SpecialI was sent this product about a month ago to try, and after two weeks I really started noticing a positive difference in my skin's texture – so smooth and soft! After about three weeks I started to notice fewer breakouts and smaller pores, especially around my nose.
My Quarantine Skin Transformation
The first picture was taken March 20 and the second was just yesterday. I’m honestly shook to be honest. My skin was scaley and dry. I had no routine. I had lost all of my skincare stuff and was washing my face with water and would use rosehip oil to moisturize. Then I used the MARIO BADESCU - Peptide Renewal Serumand my skin WENT CRAZY. Bumps EVERYWHERE. Skin going insane. My skin has never looked like this. Then I finally got some money to buy some skincare stuff and this is what I’ve got: Oil Cleanser : KOSE COSMEPORT - SOFTYMO Speedy Cleansing Oil- I don’t know if this is working yet. It takes off makeup. I’m terrified of oil on my face but it’s not done bad yet. I did break out a little bit after I started using it but it could be purging. I use this every night and morning for 60 seconds on dry skin. Foaming Cleanser: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin- I like this. It’s not drying I feel clean and my face feels good after wards. I use this right after oil cleansing. Toner: THAYERS - Witch Hazel AstringentI use this one in Aloe. OK SO I KNOWWW THAT PEOPLE DONT LIKE THIS. But it really changed my face. Before using it, my face was really bumpy even thought I was cleaning and moisturizing and exfoliating but this really soothed my skin and made everything go on better. I use this around my neck area too because it’s dark. Exfloliator: Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin PerfectorThis helped my skin like get rid of bumps and dryness but it also makes my skin red which I don’t like. But for now Im using it. I would recommend this to start off your exfoliating journey. MOISTURIZER: Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Rich Luxurious Face CreamI like this. It saved my dry skin it really hydrates and it’s not annoying. When you use it after the solution it does burn a bit. Just a warning but i really like this. SPF: Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily SunscreenAnother glossier product. This isn’t sponsored I just did a big order. This is nice it’s a gel consistency which i genuinely love. And it’s been helping my dark spots according to cherie hehe ANYWAYS my skin is doing a LOT better but there are still problems with it. I have pimples. LOTS of blackheads. large pores. Hopefully with time I can correct those. Anyways till next time 😜

Fav Toner for Sensitive/Dry Skin
The Glossier Solution is a gentle way to slough away dead skin to reveal a fresh, smooth complexion. It’s main function is to clear, brighten, and smooth your skin. I have very sensitive and combination-leaning-dry skin and this toner works really well for me! (the cute packaging doesn’t hurt either) Unlike physical scrubs, it uses a 10% blend of skincare acids to “unglue” dead skin and sweep it away, so your complexion appears smoother, softer, and glowier. It includes AHAs, BHAs, and PHAs and Daily use helps improve the appearance of blemishes, visible redness, and enlarged pores 🤗 I used it for a few months and loved it but since I switched to a full skin care routine with Drunk Elephant, a toner is somewhat unnecessary in my routine. Though, I still use it here and there when I’m breaking out or need some help with my texture. Great price and super cute packaging, if you’re looking for your next toner and especially if you have sensitive skin, I would highly recommend the Glossier Solution! Good to know: hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, paraben free, appropriate for all skin types, cruelty free, vegan Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector

Acne Skin Duo
I have enjoyed using these over the past week. They have worked in tandem to overall improve the texture of my skin and are slowly ridding my skin of pesky acne. Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector I honestly thought this product would smell like straight up chemicals but was pleasantly surprised when it smelled similar to a witch hazel toner. The active ingredient in this is 0.5% salicylic acid. I have to admit I have not used a toner in quite some time, but the salicylic acid was what drew me to the product in the first place. I got five salicylic acid chemical peels done last year which improved my skin greatly, needless to say I have high hopes for this product. I like how simple the application process of using this process is and how well the pump works in the bottle. The only thing I really dislike about this product is that you need cotton rounds to use it properly. Glossier. - Priming Moisturizer Balance My face isn’t shiny! This mattifying primer does what it says it is supposed to. I have found when I use this in the morning it takes a lot longer for my face to become shiny and oily during the day. This product has no overpowering scents to bother sensitive skin. I dislike that I have to use two to three pumps to cover my face, especially since the bottle is so small. I say give the Refine duo from Glossier a try if you struggle with shiny combination skin and stubborn acne!

Say Hello to PHA’S 👋🏻
PHA stands for polyhydroxy acid. PHA’s are nothing new but they don’t get as much attention as the AHA’s and BHA’s we see everywhere. To figure out exactly which one the product contains you’d you have to read through the full ingredients list. And even then it may not be obvious. Instead of gluconolactone, for example, the ingredient may be listed as gluconic acid, zinc gluconate, or copper gluconate. (Technically gluconolactone is a sugar alcohol while zinc gluconate is a salt.) They all do basically the same thing when it comes to exfoliation, but the research that exists on these chemicals usually only focuses on one at a time. So it’s important to remember that any conclusions about one compound may not be applicable to another. The two most important things you need to know about PHA’s are that they are both an exfoliant AND a humectant!! So not only do they get rid of the dead skin cells, they also hydrate your skin at the same time!!! This means PHA’s are gentle and can be used to help sun damage, acne, and have anti-aging properties!! PHA’s work to dissolve the bonds they hold dead skin cells together so they can be easily washed away. PHA’s have a large molecular structure so they do not penetrate as deeply into the skin as AHAs or BHAs. Although that sounds like a drawback, it’s actually a really great thing for sensitive skin types because it means that PHAs work more gently than other types of chemical exfoliants. **In a frequently cited 2004 study published in Dermatologic Surgery, researchers found evidence that gluconolactone could prevent some UV-induced damage in mouse skin cells. These same researchers also looked at the effects of gluconolactone in 11 human participants who applied two lotions to specific areas of their backs six times a day for four weeks. One lotion contained glycolic acid, one contained gluconolactone, and a third designated area didn’t get any lotion. After that time the researchers exposed a 1 cm area of the application sites to a device that simulates UV rays from the sun and then those areas were biopsied. Using the biopsied tissue, the researchers saw that the skin areas where the glycolic acid lotion had been applied showed an increased number of sunburn cells compared to the control area whereas the areas where gluconolactone had been applied did not. The big takeaway here is that gluconolactone in this study didn’t contribute to photosensitivity, something that’s a known issue with AHAs and BHAs!!! ** Some products with PHA’s Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector COSRX - Low pH PHA Barrier Mist Dr. Jart+ - Dermaclear Micro Milk Peel HERBIVORE - Bakuchiol Anti-Aging Serum

GLOSSIER SKINCARE: Reviewing It All! Part 1 ✨
Glossier is hot and happening in the beauty world. You have to been living under a rock if you are not familar with this online beauty brand. In this post, I will review part of their skincare to see if it’s worth it or not! ✨ Glossier. - Milky Jelly Cleanser One should begin every day with a clean face - hence this starting with the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser. Like the name suggests, the consistency of this facial cleanser feels jelly, but once you mix it in with water, make-up, dirt - ew! - on your face, it actually turns into a milky consistency. It is a very soft cleanser, especially good for anyone that struggles with dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin, because it does not leave your face feeling squeaky clean. It also does not sting your eyes at all. Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you have dry, dehydrated or sensitive skin and want a cleanser that is soft and leaves your skin hydrated. 🤍 Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector & Glossier. - Cotton Rounds After cleansing, it's time for my favorite skincare step ever: chemical exfoliation. Unlike physical exfoliators that scrape off the surface of your skin, chemical exfoliators like the Glossier Solution gently sloughs dead cells away through chemical exfoliation using 10% of three different acids - Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), and Polyhydroxy Acid (PHA) - dissolving the bonds gluing problematic dead cells to the healthy skin beneath. With daily use, expect cleared acne and blackheads, smaller pores, and reduced redness. Skin’s texture will be smoother and softer, and the fabled glow of balanced, healthy skin will be in full force. Glossier also sells these cotton rounds with a G on it. They're soft and they look pretty cute, but they're definitely nothing special. I would personally skip these, except if you are a cotton round connaisseur. Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you struggle with acne, blackheads, or an uneven skin texture. 👌🏻 Glossier. - The Super Duo : Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum & Glossier. - Super Pure Niacinamide + Zinc Serum & Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum Even though chemical exfoliators are in my opinion the real work horse in any skincare routine, I do love to use a good serum as well. Whatever your skin needs, Glossier came out with The Super Pack - three different serums that can be used as additional supplements for your face whenever your skin needs it. See them as your little helpers whenever your skin has some special needs. They are lightweight, non-greasy, and perfect to use for any skintype. Would I recommend this product? Yes, if you have some extra coin to spend on fancy serums + cute packaging, or if you struggle finding serums that are not too heavy. 💕 #cheriecreator
Cleansing Routine to Manage Acne
I have sensitive combination skin that is acne-prone. Finding a routine to manage my acne took almost eight years. My trouble spots are my cheeks, forehead and above my top lip. I’m pretty strict with my routine, because my skin is not fond of change. AM ROUTINE I like to keep my morning routine simple and light because too many products stress out my skin, feel heavy, cause breakouts and I end up sweating them off. I cleanse with CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser . I love this cleanser because it uses clean ingredients that don’t over dry my face and it smells great! The only reason I knock off a star is because fragrance is included in the ingredients, which can irritate some folks. My face is pretty sensitive and I haven’t had any issues. To moisturize, I pat CAUDALIE - Vinopure Skin Perfecting Mattifying Fluid on my face and neck (never forget your neck!). It works like magic! It dries clear, feels light and doesn’t leave you oily. I can literally feel the moisturizer eating up the excess oil on my skin. I love it. I definitely recommend this product for people with oily skin. Afterwards, I always always always SPF my face and neck. I’ve been using Glossier. - Invisible Shield Daily Sunscreen and I love it’s consistency. It’s super light and leaves that dewey glow that everyone loves. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive. If anyone has any dupe recommendations — let me know! PM ROUTINE I go HAM during my night routine to treat any trouble spots and damage. At night, I cleanse with DIFFERIN - Daily Deep Cleanser BPO 5% . The benzoyl peroxide kills bacteria and keeps my breakouts to a minimum. I follow it with DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel . This is the secret ingredient! If you try any of the products in this post, this is the one. It has really minimized my breakouts. Before using the treatment gel, there was never a day a didn’t have at least one bump. Afterwards, I use Glossier. - Super Bounce Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5 Serum to add some extra moisture to my skin overnight. I top it off with the moisturizer I use from my AM routine. ONCE A WEEK AM ROUTINE: 1-2x a week. I use Glossier. - Solution Exfoliating Skin Perfector to exfoliate. Especially after shaving. This is my favorite after shave. It’s a great chemical exfoliator that leaves your skin glowing. Use it after cleansing and before moisturizing. PM ROUTINE: For extra support and as a spot treatment, I mix two drops of TRADER JOE'S - Spa 100% Australian Tea Tree Oil into a small cup of water. I use a cotton pad and pat the mixture on my trouble spots. It minimizes the redness and irritation overnight! I don’t have perfect skin, but I’m so much happier with the state it’s in. My skin is glowing and clear. I finally feel confident showing my face to the world.
