2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Hermès
This look is inspired by models for Hermes for 2021 spring/summer fashion week. This look focuses on super dewy skin and a bold, red lip as the center of attention. This look was really easy to recreate and something I would actually rock IRL (except for the lack of mascara because mascara is bae). I’ve included the inspo photo from Allure. To add a glowy base to my complexion, I used Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid . I only ever use 1 pump of this oil-serum hybrid because I think any more makes me look like a grease ball. I applied this all over my face and dabbed a tiny amount onto my eyelids. This product is perfect for applying on bare skin, under makeup, and can even be used over makeup for a natural, wet-looking highlight. After I applied my complexion products, I dabbed a tiny amount onto the high points of my cheekbones. Sticking with the dewy theme, I used the ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 in “balos”. I’m not sure if the models were wearing complexion products because their skin looked super natural, yet also “flawless”. Since I have some redness on my cheeks, I used this skin tint to even out my skin tone and amp up the dew. I lightly concealed underneath my eyes with the e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer in “light peach”. The models don’t appear to be wearing any cheek products, though I did add a tiny bit of AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour in “fawn” to help sculpt my cheeks a tiny bit like the models. I finished the look off with the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in “always red”. I’ve had a mini of this for quite a while. It’s beautiful, comfortable despite being matte, does leave a tint behind, and is long-wearing. This is the kind of lipstick that would last from the runway well into the after party (in non-COVID times, of course). The models don’t appear to be wearing any mascara, so I skipped that. I filled in my brows a bit more than usual for a fuller appearance. I used the essence - Superlast Eyebrow Pomade Pencil in “dark brown”. Such a fun look! You guys it’s sooo hard not to smile. How do models do it?! 🤪 Look for another fashion week look soon. All brands are cruelty-free except for Sephora Collection. Prices: futuredew $24, skin tint $46, concealer $6, contour stick $1, lip stain (full size) $15, brow pencil $3.50 #Cherie Partner

Hunting for the Glossier ☁️ 🎨 dupe - Part 3
Hunting for the Glossier ☁️ 🎨 dupe - Part 3
So, I love Glossier’s Cloud Paint! But I have continued my hunt to test out some more possible dupes from the drugstore because I think it’s just nice to have a more affordable and accessible option. And because I think the limit does not exist for cream products 🙊 Enter MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush . I actually saw this briefly in a YouTube video from Shelbey Wilson a few weeks ago. So I thought I would try it out for myself. I believe this is actually Milani’s first liquid blush so I was excited to try it. I originally bought Pink Flirt because I thought it would be a close match for Glossier’s Puff, but as you’ll see in the second picture, Pink Flirt (bottom) is a bit more of a hot pink versus Puff (top) which is more of a baby pink. Spoiler alert: I think the Quo - Featherweight Cream Blushis probably a closer match for Glossier’s Cloud Paint, but I still really like this product. The good: + This gives your cheeks such a dewy and natural tint to the cheeks. If you like the no-makeup makeup looks, this would be a great option for you. + It does have a nice amount of pigment (seems a tiny bit more sheer than Cloud Paint), but it does blend out nicely and doesn’t look patchy at all. + It’s a super lightweight formula which is easy to apply just like Cloud Paint. + Love the colour options (seem like a very similar range to Glossier, just a little brighter). I think Berry Smooch could be very pretty. + Depending on where you get this it’s $10-$14 which is about the same for the Quo blush and it’s definitely cheaper than Glossier’s at $22. + You get a little bit more product than with Cloud Paint (10.8 mL vs 10 mL). The not so good: - I’d say this is a little bit more on the gel side versus Cloud Paint which is a little bit creamier. For me, I find that with Cloud Paint I can either go for something a little bit more pigment and natural looking OR I can add in some Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybridand make it more glowy, sheer and dewy. With the Cheek Kiss, it’s more glowy, sheer and dewy to start with. No problem if you love that look anyways, but I do like the versatility of the Cloud Paint and Quo Featherweight Cream Blush. Worth it? For a girl who loves a dewy and natural look - absolutely. It’s affordable, a good amount of product, lots of options and I think it looks really pretty. Would I repurchase? I’m already checking out other colours. In reality I’ll probably create a collection of different shades from Quo, Glossier and Milani 🙈 Ps now that I have a plethora of cream blushes to go through, I’m on the hunt for the perfect cream bronzer. Let me know if you have any suggestions! 💕

The skin is the largest organ in the body and when you don't sleep it can affect the quality of your skin, the guilty? the stress hormone called cortisol. Sleep deprivation can lead to dehydration, redness and breakouts. If you are a student, or your work doesn’t allow you to sleep early or you just go out partying, these are some products that have worked for me to hide my lack of sleep. M A S K A moisturizing mask can be a quick solution to improve dull skin. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask his mask is a wonder, it revives dull and dry skin, leaving the skin hydrated and soft. It has a creamy texture and its main ingredients are chestnut extract, vitamin C and niacinamide. I use it as a quick mask leaving it for 10 minutes and removing the excess with a warm cloth. I use it as a rescue when my skin is dehydrated and dull. S E R U M Something that has ALWAYS worked for me is to use a serum. It makes my skin look glowing and fresh. With 2-3 drops you can make your skin look radiant. HERBIVORE - Emerald Deep Moisture Glow Oil a serum that causes a lot of controversy, since many people don’t like it. For me it is magnificent, intensely hydrates the skin, smells very pleasant and awakens the senses. Leaves skin glowy and smooth. I use it when I need an immediate hydration boost. It is a light oil and its main ingredients are Cannabidiol, Cannavis sativa (Hemp) seed oil and ashwagandha. Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid its main ingredients a mixture of 4 nourishing oils, evodia rutaecarpa extract, sugarcane squalane and light reflecting minerals. Its texture is serum oil. Leaves a subtle, natural glow in addition to hydrating and leaving skin soft. T I P When I don't get enough sleep I always use a primer or SPF with some color. dr. brandt - Pores No More Luminizer Primer primer illuminator that delivers a natural looking glow, blurring pores and blemishes. It has a cream texture and contains optical diffusers, illuminating powders and lentil seed extract. I love the natural glow it leaves, it makes you look fresh and like you've slept all night. Supergoop! - Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 this sunscreen works miracles! It has a pearlescent finish and makes your skin look relaxed, fresh and full of shine. Its texture is liquid, its main ingredients are hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5, sea lavander and cocoa peptides. Leaves the skin hydrated and soft.

INSTANT GLOW 💫

Dullness is one of my main skin concerns, specially during these times that I’m not getting the best sleep and indulging in way too many snacks 😛 When Glossier came out with Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid I knew I had to cop immediately. This oil serum hybrid adds so much dewiness to the skin and looks beautiful with makeup and on bare skin. I love to use it on days when I’m not wearing makeup, so literally every day lately. They suggest using it as the last step in your routine even after sunscreen but sunscreen should always be the last step to your routine, and it doesn’t mess with the finish in my opinion. The texture reminds me of the VDL Fresh lumilayer primer which I love so naturally, I adore this. The ingredient list includes grape seed oil and rosehip seed oil which are amazing to get that glowy skin! I have combination skin and this doesn’t break me out or make me look oily just dewy and super fresh!

2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
2021 Fashion Week Inspired Makeup - Chloé
This is the second spring/summer 2021 fashion week inspired look I did. Make sure to check out my other Cherie post for my Hermès look. This look inspired by Chloé focuses on smoldering, smudged out black-rimmed eyes, dewy skin, and juicy nude lips. The eye look was particularly interesting to me because of the blank spaces in the center of the model’s lower and upper lids. The base of this look is the same as my Hermès look. I’ve included the inspo photo that I found on Allure. Complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid - this oil-serum hybrid is perfect for adding a glowy base on bare skin, under makeup, or over makeup on the high points of your face for a natural, yet wet-looking highlight. I used 1 pump all over my face under my skin tint, and a tiny bit dabbed on the tops of my cheek bones after my skin tint. $24 ILIA - Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 “balos” - light coverage to even out my skin tone and also amp up the dew. $46 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer “light peach” - I used 2 tiny dots under my eyes to add some coverage. $6 AOA studio - Sculpt FX Contour “fawn” - the model does not appear to be wearing any cheek products; however, has beautiful, defined cheekbones. I don’t have defined cheekbones, so I used this to give a slight contoured effect. $1 Now the fun part! I used URBAN DECAY - 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil “perversion” to lightly outline the inner and outer portions of my top and bottom lash lines. I smudged this out with a pencil brush. Then I used the shade “black” from my LORAC - PRO Matte Eye Shadow Palette to intensify the smokiness. I made sure to keep the space directly in the middle of my eyes blank on both upper and lower lash lines. I then drew a thick wing on the outer corner of each eye, topped with black shadow, and smudged inwards. I couldn’t tell if the model was wearing mascara, but I added 1 quick coat of URBAN DECAY - Lash Freak Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara to add an extra pop to my eyes. For lips, I lightly blotted COLOURPOP - Ultra Matte Lip “little one” (limited edition, no longer available) to add a hint of nude to my lips. Then I topped with the ICONIC - Lip Plumping Gloss in “nearly nude” . This gloss is super glossy and wet looking - perfect for ultra juicy-looking lips! This look was so fun to create. Unlike the Hermès look, this isn’t something I would personally wear day-to-day, but for Halloween or the runway it’s perfect! It’s so hard not to smile in photos 🤪 #CheriePartner

My Personal Holy Grail Skincare Products
My Personal Holy Grail Skincare Products
As stated in my bio, I am a self-professed skincare addict and am always on the hunt for the next best thing. My biggest skin concerns are anti-aging (since I just entered my thirties), dark circles under the eyes, and dryness. I live in the desert, so hydration and SPF are absolute musts. Luckily, I’ve found some great products that have given me what I’m looking for without breaking the bank for the most part. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to take out a second mortgage on your home to get products that contain high-quality, effective ingredients. First, we have the bliss - Rose Gold Rescue Cleanser It’s readily available (got mine at Target), it clears away all of my makeup without drying me out, and it’s great for those of us who have sensitive skin. I follow that up with the CLEAN SKIN CLUB - Vitamin C Brightening Booster I’ll typically take a few drops of it and mix it with my moisturizer in my hands before generously applying to my face and neck. Sometimes, I’ll apply a few drops directly to my face and let it absorb before moving on to the next step in my routine. I completely forgot to include my moisturizer, by the way! I’m currently using the Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer for extra-dry skin. It contains hyaluronic acid and keeps me feeling hydrated all day. During my morning routine, I then go in with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 It goes on like a smooth, silicone-style primer which I love because it gets my skin ready for my face products. It feels feather-light on the skin, and there’s no white cast in sight. Then comes Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid It’s an oil serum hybrid and is meant to be the last step in your skincare routine before applying your makeup. Again, being able to achieve an all-day dewy, hydrated look is essential for me, and this has been a total game changer. The glow is REAL, friends. Since I use a tinted moisturizer instead of a heavier foundation, I find myself using highlighter less and less because this stuff makes it look like I’m glowing from within. For me, that is THE DREAM. Finally, I’ll hydrate the skin under my eyes with either the FARMACY - Cheer Up Brightening Vitamin C Eye Cream with Acerola Cherry or the OLAY - Total Effects Anti-Aging Eye Treatment Eye Transforming Cream . Both are fantastic products; I’d say that the Farmacy cream has a slicker texture that almost has a dewy sheen to it, and Olay seems to both hydrate and tighten which is great for the fine lines around my eyes. Note: In terms of results, I’ve read that it takes more time to notice a difference in your dark circles or fine lines with the Farmacy cream, and I’ve found this to be true. Olay works a lot faster on fine lines! What are your go-to skincare products? Share below, darlings 💕
