HOW TO: Vitamin C. All Tips and tricks!
Skin need a little pick me up? Some brightening? You definitely need to add Vitamin C to your routine! Our skin naturally produces vitamin c, but as we age the amount we have naturally becomes less and less. Sun exposure and pollution accelerate the loss of natural VC. Why Vitamin C? It’s a powerhouse ingredient! it evens out skin tone reduces fine lines and wrinkles protects skin from environmental stressors And radical damage “Problems” with Vitamin C it’s extremely sensitive to air and light. It’s oxidizes and breaks down. It loses it potency. packaging needs to be opaque and let as little light in. It also needs to be able to be closed and keep air out. YOU NEED TO WEAR SPF when using vitamin c. Your skin becomes more sensitive to the sun. *from my own personal experince, I felt burning and breakouts from taking any dog for a walk after applying my VC and no sunscreen.* How to use it in your routine? apply morning and night. Always use SPF in the day time with it. apply in the typical order of your routine. If it’s a serum, apply from thinnest to thickest serums. Vitamin C works just fine with other ingredients, so feel free to use it with Niacinamide and even retinol. Just be wary of what your skin can handle MY FAVORITE VITAMIN C PRODUCT: VERSED - FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC + powder form has a longer shelf life. + add to/mix into your favorite serum or moisturizer. + a lot more effective that I thought it would be! + noticed visible brightening and faded dark spots within the first 3 days of use. + fine powder that mixes in perfectly with other products. + made with tapioca starch. Pink Lemonade Fun! I wanted to share a brand that’s budget friendly & made with clean ingredients. Has anyone tried this brand called versed?! • Brightening Tightening Mask; this mask I thought was so fun because of the packaging! It reminded me of the kids yogurt packaging! It contains kaolin clay tones and gently exfoliates the skin while the turmeric aids in brightness and evening out skin tone! I’ve used this twice and I can honestly say you can feel and see a difference after! So far I am LOVING it & at $9.99 you can’t go wrong! (Although I do not think you can get 12+ applications from it) • Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm; I love trying out cleansing balms! I feel like you could never have enough! The smell of this balm is AMAZING (probably because of the eucalyptus oil). It really does a great job at removing my make up and the vitamin E also helps lock in the moisture without stripping away at my skin. This balm is $17.99 for 2.3 oz which is GREAT! • Found the light powder with vitamin C; this is by far the most interesting of them all! This vitamin C powder is left in its most potent and stable form- powder form! All you have to do is shake it and add it to your favorite moisturizer or serum making it a dark spot fighter, collagen stimulating and antioxidant powerhouse!! I can’t wait to continue to use it because so far it’s pretty cool! ($19.99) All in all I am so impressed so far with versed & I can’t wait to continue to use these and try more!
VERSED-DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm
These are my October/November empties: SAND&SKY - Australian Pink Clay Porefining Face Mask mini pink skys Australian clay mask. I really liked this sample, I found that my skin looked brighter and clearer after use, and it worked great on blemishes :) Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 also enjoyed using this sunscreen, I hate when spfs feel greasy and leave white casts, and this was clear and left my skin with a mattish finish. I would consider repurchasing, it’s just a bit pricey at $34 for 1.7oz. SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Bum Bum Cream I love this so much! It smells amazing and it’s super hydrating, I already have the bigger size 😍 VERSED - FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC I liked how easy this was to add to any product (I was adding a couple of shakes to my morning moisturizer), but ultimately I don’t think it did much for my skin so I wouldn’t repurchase. CAUDALIE - Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Toner and CAUDALIE - Vinopure Pore Purifying Gel Cleanser both were great minis, and they lasted me a while. They smell amazing, and did their job. I would consider purchasing the full sizes in the future. THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum - not really an empty but it expired and turned a weird color so it’s time to toss. I like it and have another one that I will probably open soon. SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Face Toner - I liked this toner, I know people aren’t big fans of witch hazel but I find it works well for my skin. I got it in a FFF box and it lasted a while, but It’s expensive and nothing too special so I won’t be repurchasing. COSRX - Cosrx Acne Pimple Master Patch i liked these little patches, they’re affordable and do a great job of drawing out pimple gunk.

My top non-toxic (and affordable) skincare line!
Versed is my favorite, non-toxic affordable skincare line! I love that they’re clean, fun, and won’t break the bank. Here are my thoughts on my latest Versed haul! VERSED - PRESS RESTART- I’m 35, so you better believe I have been on my retinol game! Retinol is great for acne, dryness, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and blemishes and also known to effectively plump your skin. This one from Versed is super lightweight and even has a green tint to it due to the chlorophyll ingredient. I like using this as part of my nighttime skincare routine and wake up with clean, even skin. VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum- I’ve been breaking out and suffering from maskne and am on my 2nd bottle of this clarifying serum. It feels super light, isn’t sticky, and I like to mix it in with my moisturizers. It has willow bark, niacinamide and zinc in it which helps decongest pores and soothe any redness I have. I started noticing my pores felt a bit cleaner after day 7 of using this consistently! VERSED - THE FIX Emergency Eye Mask - Love that this mask feels so cooling from its aloe vera properties. I like to apply this mask after I cleanse my face and answer emails in the mornings. If my eyes are feeling puffier than usual, I’ll use this as more of a sleep mask at night and since it’s non toxic, I don’t feel bad about having it on all night. VERSED - Day Maker Microcrystal Exfoliator - I love the gesture of this! It feels super fine but also a little creamy. This exfoliator is great for removing dead skin cells and any dullness and sensitive skin friendly! I like to use this as a pre-cleanse to get rid of the dirt and grime in my pores before I follow up with another cleanser. VERSED - FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC- I love a good vitamin c powder and have been this in with my serums.!In general, Vitamin C is great for hyperpigmentation, unevenness and overall redness. I love vitamin c powders because they tend to stay fresh the longest (versus liquids that can turn into an orange-y color over time) and have noticed my skin has been super soft, bright, and smooth. VERSED - Game Over Acne Drying Treatment: This spot treatment is made with 10% sulfur so it unclogs pores without stripping my skin. This treatment is great for whiteheads that are ready to pop and doesn’t feel like it’s drying out the rest of your skin. I like using this at night when I need it but it can also double as a mask on my congested areas. Have you tried on products from Versed yet? I highly recommend them!
VERSED-Day Maker Microcrystal Exfoliator
My mini @versed collection 🖤 I wanted to take this time to do two small reviews and a first impressions on these products. REVIEW: ⚡️Just Breathe - Clarifying Serum: I have been using this product for about a month now and wow, the improvement in my acne is incredible. I have very dry/sensitive/acne-prone skin and this serum does an AMAZING job at calming down all my acne, reduces the redness in my skin and I just love how gentle it is on my skin. I will be using this product for a VERY long time. I need to stock up on my few bottles soon. ⚡️ The Shortcut Overnight Facial Peel: Okay so at first I was very skeptical about this product. I wasn’t sure how well this peel would work for me, but then again I’m not familiar with peels because I never bothered to give them a try. Let me tell you.. I am so happy I bought this product. I’ve been using this twice a week for the past 3 weeks and my skin the next morning, is GLOWING. It’s perfect for acne-prone sensitive skin. Another amazing product from Versed that I will re-purchase once I finish this tube. FIRST IMPRESSION: ⚡️Found the Light - Powder w/ Vitamin C ⚡️Stroke of Brilliance- Brightening Serum: I just bought these this past week and had the chance to use them twice so far. With these type of products, you see results with a more consistent/long term use, so nothing was seen immediately, but it didn’t further irritate my acne at all, which makes me very happy. I can already tell I am going to love these two products the longer I use it. What is your favorite versed product? 😍

Drugstore Products That Work - Versed Vit C
VERSED - FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC *skin is normally oily/combo but has been dry recently. Does Versed count as drugstore? I think it does? It’s affordable and sold at target right? That’s drugstore. Ok good glad we agree. So Target. My favourite place on earth. I miss Canadian Target so dearly. Anyway, I headed over to the states last year and of course stopped in at Target and this is how I tried Versed for the very first time. I had seen the brand all over the skinstagram world and had heard such great things about it. There were so many products that I wanted to try but this ultimately was the very first product I tried from them. This is a Vitamin C brightening powder which is just revolutionary. Instead of a vitamin C serum or cream, this is a literal powder that you can mix in with any of your favourite moisturizers. That’s initially what called to me about this product. I like to change my moisturizer (and really all of my skincare) depending on what my skin needs and so this being a powder that I can mix in with whatever is super helpful. It means that I can still get some vitamin c and some brightening worked into my routine whether I’m using a gel moisturizer or a cream moisturizer or whether my skin is oily or dry. This little bottle has lasted me so long because you only need to use a little bit of powder to mix in and it’s so easy to do. I just apply my moisturizer in my hand and put the powder on top and blend it in. It mixes so nicely with any consistency. I think this was only about $12 USD so about $15 CAD for me? I definitely think it’s worth it because I’ve been able to make it last for so long and it’s such a versatile product. I will say I don’t see a ton of results in terms of brightening but I do like the idea of just having a Vitamin C in my routine and I feel like it helps to even out my skin tone! Would definitely recommend trying this product!
