Physical Exfoliator that’s not too harsh
Bybi Beauty Smooth and Soothe Scrub Smooth & Soothe is a dual exfoliator, which means it’s a combo of both abrasive and chemical exfoliation. Sounds scary, but all it means is that you get a very thorough scrub. Jojoba beads (pronounced ho-ho-ba, before you ask) provide the abrasive scrub and are small bits of very smooth wax that brush away dead skin, without causing micro-tears to the skin’s surface. Fruit acids from apple, lime and pineapple are the chemical bit and they work to eat away at the “glue” that holds the dead cells together. There’s also marshmallow root extract which is a great anti-inflammatory ingredient, so it leaves you with skin that’s healthy and soft with minimal redness. EXFOLIATION: this scrub is a gentle chemical (via fruit acids) and physical (sugars) exfoliator that can be used several times a week without worry of damaging your skin barrier. I tend to use it every other day in the evenings after an oil cleanse. It leave my skin feeling less textured (smooth) and almost as if I’ve applied a light balm (soothe) this product really does live up to its name. PRICE: @bybibeauty is available around the world in some Sephora’s but not yet in the US. You can grab it off their site for £24 ($31.33). They also have skincare bundles for extra savings. ( BEST VALUE) Overall: I am a very big fan of this naturalskincare, vegan, crueltyfree brand as well as the performance and pricing of their individual products. I will be repurchasing! 5/5 stars . . P.S If you leave it on for 10-15 minutes it also makes a great acid mask .

6 Skincare Tips from a Celebrity EstheticianIt’s been eight weeks since COVID-19 has caused us to shelter in place with the goal of putting an end to the novel coronavirus. While social distancing is playing an essential role in our health, the same can’t be said for our beauty routines. For beauty buffs, the lockdown has meant an abrupt halt to our routine visits to our facialists, dermatologists, and everything in between. What’s more, staying indoors has limited our exposure to vitamin D (which our skin needs to thrive), heeded unhealthy eating habits (which can wrack havoc on our skin), and turned us all into our very own (albeit mildly inexperienced) esthetician. To ensure our skin and well-being is taken care of during such a confusing time, we tapped into celebrity esthetician Renée Rouleau. Below, she’s sharing six self-care tips to practice as you social distance.May 20
