Accurate Update! 3 months in
hi everyone!!! i know my skin is far from perfect and i’m going to have to treat my scars on my temples and hyperpigmentation, but i’m literally pinching myself i can’t believe how much better it looks. the left side of my face has NO active breakouts. what?! i can not believe how much accutane can change your skin in a matter of days! looking at my last post, 1.5 weeks ago, it feels so good to see a big change. my right side chin area had a few breakouts, but they are healing now! current side effects: ⚡️ joint pains in my knees especially ⚡️not too much dryness, except for my lips and eyes, and my nose peeling ⚡️awful headaches, but i take ibuprofen when needed (you can not take acetaminophen on accutane) ⚡️extreme fatigue, which sucks right now because i have an overload of school work :’( changes i’ve seen: ⚡️ smaller pores ⚡️ less painful cystic acne ⚡️ quicker healing breakouts overall, i am 3 months in, and this is the first time i am feeling like i am feeling like i am finally at the phase where everything is up from here. hopefully i don’t jinx it by saying that haha! i am not sure if this huge difference is from the VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum that i have been using, but i love how it makes my skin feel and makes any breakouts i have heal. i’m really looking forward to my dermatologist visit and seeing what she has to say!

Olivarrier Fluid Oil & Versed Just Breathe
Olivarrier - Olivarrier Fluid Oil * 100% plant-derived Squalane, this fluid oil is made to be similar to human sebum. It claims to protect the skin from dryness and UV rays. And what I love the most about this, and other Olivarrier products, is that it’s non-comedogenic! ✨ Before, I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with oils. I loved how moisturizing they were but I always hated how oily they left my skin. But I have come to realize I just didn’t know how to use oils and I would add too many drops at once. Fast forward to now, I know I can mix oils with other products or apply it alone with just a 2-3 drops. Olivarrier’s Fluid Oil mixes well with other products because it contains no fragrances. It moisturizes well, absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin with a nice natural finish. Definitely one of my favorite oils! VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum . Currently rated 3-stars but may change. This Clarifying Serum contains great ingredients: willow bark extract, zinc blend, and niacinamide which all work together to calm inflammation, decongest pores and soothe redness. I have been using this for a few weeks and have seen no improvements with my acne and pores. Despite that, I cannot say it has not been an enjoyable experience. This product is unscented, absorbs quickly, leaves my skin smooth, and seems to *very minimally* soothe redness. It’s a nice addition to my routine but I may be able to live without it. *gifted
VERSED-JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum
This serum was FINALLY in stock at my Target so I snapped it up. I’ve been seeing this product getting a lot of hype so I was excited to try it. However after using the entire bottle I wasn’t impressed. While this serum has pretty solid ingredients I didn’t see much benefit from using it. I had some breakouts and it didn’t help them any. I had some dryness that it didn’t really do anything for either. So while I don’t feel this is a bad serum I just wouldn’t say to expect too much from this serum.
VERSED-JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum
I really wanted to like this...
VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum is a serum designed for problem/acne-prone, stressed out skin. It's more directed towards mild acne, or hormonal skin, which is what I struggle with. About The Brand 🌿 Versed is a clean, cruelty free, sustainable brand approved by many dermatologists. They believe in no-BS formulas that give results without irritating or damaging the skin. Their packaging is minimal, with an intention of not overpricing their products and seeming flashy. I would say versed is definitely top-notch for a "drugstore" brand. Their prices are decent, nothing like The Ordinary, but nothing luxury. It's hard for me to give a personal opinion overall because I've only tried one product, But Versed is very popular and well-loved by many. And they're always coming out with new products!! The Formula 🌿 This serum is said to help clear up breakouts, and calm stressed skin. It claims to control sebum, decongest, and soothe to create healthy, balanced skin. The ingredient list is well formulated, with all the star ingredients listed at the top. Star Ingredients: 🌱 Willow Bark Extract 🪨 Zinc Blend 🧬 Niacinamide Willow Bark has been used for centuries to sooth irritated skin. It also contains a natural form of Salicylic Acid. This definitely doesn't work as well as your common exfoliating BHA. It's still a great anti-inflammatory and works to clean out your pores. This also has a Zinc Blend incorporated in the serum. It's a blend of yeast extract, aesculus hippocastanum seed extract, ammonium glycyrrhizate, panthenol, propylene glycol, zinc gluconate, caffeine, & biotin. Zinc is a good anti-inflammatory. Although, it's also known to create a build up of yeast & keratin/biotin which clogs pores. Niacinamide is a super popular, powerhouse ingredient that helps with redness, acne, inflammation, pores, dark spots & more. It's a great and quality ingredient that really helped push me to buy this serum. My Experience 🌿 I truly feel like this serum does nothing for my skin. I would use it every once in a while if I wanted to simplify my routine, or if my skin was freaking out... and it didn't help at all. But it also didn't usually make it worse...unless I started using it continuously. One time I got my skin to a really good point, & I started using this in a maintenance routine. And instead of it helping to maintain my clear skin, it slowly broke me out! It gave me more texture around my forehead & cheeks, which was very disappointing. I've continued to try this so many times and I just can't seem to like it and see worthwhile results. I personally also don't think it's worth $20 considering the ingredients are very basic. BUT just because something didn't work for me, doesn't mean it may not work for you. So many people rave about this serum! So if it seems like a good fit for you & your concerns, I would encourage you to try it out for yourself! Feel free to ask any questions or leave a comment below! 💞
VERSED-JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum
My top non-toxic (and affordable) skincare line!
Versed is my favorite, non-toxic affordable skincare line! I love that they’re clean, fun, and won’t break the bank. Here are my thoughts on my latest Versed haul! VERSED - PRESS RESTART- I’m 35, so you better believe I have been on my retinol game! Retinol is great for acne, dryness, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles and blemishes and also known to effectively plump your skin. This one from Versed is super lightweight and even has a green tint to it due to the chlorophyll ingredient. I like using this as part of my nighttime skincare routine and wake up with clean, even skin. VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum- I’ve been breaking out and suffering from maskne and am on my 2nd bottle of this clarifying serum. It feels super light, isn’t sticky, and I like to mix it in with my moisturizers. It has willow bark, niacinamide and zinc in it which helps decongest pores and soothe any redness I have. I started noticing my pores felt a bit cleaner after day 7 of using this consistently! VERSED - THE FIX Emergency Eye Mask - Love that this mask feels so cooling from its aloe vera properties. I like to apply this mask after I cleanse my face and answer emails in the mornings. If my eyes are feeling puffier than usual, I’ll use this as more of a sleep mask at night and since it’s non toxic, I don’t feel bad about having it on all night. VERSED - Day Maker Microcrystal Exfoliator - I love the gesture of this! It feels super fine but also a little creamy. This exfoliator is great for removing dead skin cells and any dullness and sensitive skin friendly! I like to use this as a pre-cleanse to get rid of the dirt and grime in my pores before I follow up with another cleanser. VERSED - FOUND THE LIGHT Powder With VC- I love a good vitamin c powder and have been this in with my serums.!In general, Vitamin C is great for hyperpigmentation, unevenness and overall redness. I love vitamin c powders because they tend to stay fresh the longest (versus liquids that can turn into an orange-y color over time) and have noticed my skin has been super soft, bright, and smooth. VERSED - Game Over Acne Drying Treatment: This spot treatment is made with 10% sulfur so it unclogs pores without stripping my skin. This treatment is great for whiteheads that are ready to pop and doesn’t feel like it’s drying out the rest of your skin. I like using this at night when I need it but it can also double as a mask on my congested areas. Have you tried on products from Versed yet? I highly recommend them!

My top tier serums for combo skin 🏆
Serums are a crucial part to every well designed skincare routine. Serums are designed to deliver high concentrations of specific active ingredients to the skin. Nowadays there are many options out there that adjust to every budget and skin concern you may have. For me, I like having a serum to treat dullness, brighten, enlarged pores, and lately, to help my skin maskne-free. I’ve been using these serums for a while and I really like them, let me tell you why! 🧴 PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum I love this so much, I think this is my second bottle and I actually just ran out of it! This is holy grail status for a lot of people and with reason, the ingredients are amazing. Niacinamide is one of my favorite skincare ingredients, it offers so many benefits and works well for most skin types. It also includes madecassoide and hyaluronic acid for moisture, I love that it’s light and hydrating at the same time, my dehydrated a** loves that 😌 Its $39 for 40 ml but it’s constantly on sale at Ulta! 🧴 VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum Versed is a brand that’s grown on me, they have nice formulas for accessible price points, everything I’ve from them has worked well for me and I think it’s a good gateway brand if you’re just getting into skincare! This little bb also includes niacinamide and vitamin C, which were thought to be a big no-no to mix but it turns out they actually work really well together. This works great to treat uneven skin tone and hyperpigmentation. If you’re new to skincare and need something that works but isn’t very pricey I think this is a good choice for you! It’s $19.99 for 1 fl. oz and you can find the brand at Target. 🧴 VERSED - JUST BREATHE Clarifying Serum I bought this recently to treat maskne specifically and I’m very pleased with it! The ingredient list caught my eye because I know willow bark extract works very well for me, and zinc is greatly known for its anti inflammatory properties and it could prevent clogged pores. Its very light and watery in texture, and it’s not sticky! 🧴 Mad Hippie - Mad Hippie Exfoliating Serum this serum is amazing! It exfoliates with glycolic acid and lactic acid but also nourishes with goji berry extract and ceramides! Ceramides are lipids that help form the skin’s barrier and help skin retain moisture. I love that this is gentle enough to use every other night, but potent enough to help my skin look more radiant and combats dullness. It’s $34.99 for 1.02 fl oz, so not really super affordable nor super expensive, it’s a happy medium I’d say but it’s completely worth it. I believe this is also sold at Ulta, don’t quote me on that tho. And there you have it, my current serums I keep on rotation!
