I finished up a bunch of products last month and this month, here's the low down on what I emptied! ➕may lindstrom skin - The Jasmine Garden this will absolutely be a repurchase, but not until I finish some other mists. It's expensive but the formula and ingredients are totally worth it. I used it as a toner, when my skin needed a pick me up, or when I felt like I needed extra hydration. It is without a doubt a WANT and not a NEED, but if you want to treat yourself it's perfect! ➖ LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo Dual Acne Treatment i won't be picking this up again, it just wasn't effective for my skin. I think it's too expensive for what it is at $30, there are a ton of other acne treatments for cheaper that are effective. It was drying and just didn't help all breakouts clear up any quicker. It did work for deep under the skin breakouts, but again not as well as other treatments I've tried. ➕ THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum this is already in my Sephora cart to repurchase! It works really well for my combination skin and I can sometimes get away with not needing a moisturizer. For $15 it's totally worth it! ➕ THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum another favorite from the inkey list! For $8 it's totally worth trying out, but also because it's the best HA! It's a thin consistency that works well with other products. It's not sticky and doesn't pill. ➕ SKINCEUTICALS - Discoloration Defense Skin discoloration serum this is one of my favorite serums that fights hyperpigmentation! Yes it’s expensive at $98, you’re paying for the ingredients and the skin suit aka brand. This was really effective for my PIH and I would repurchase it if it's in my budget. There are other serums that have similar ingredients and will do similar things for your skin, it really comes down to preference. This does what it says, but is expensive. ➕ SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin CF vitamin c is essential to my routine! I'm extremely picky about the vitamin c that I use and this is absolutely the best! It's a watery texture that sinks into the skin quickly and works well underneath other products. It didn't oxidize, but I did keep it in the fridge! It's very expensive at $166 but totally worth it in my opinion because it's so effective. ➕ SKINCEUTICALS - PHYTO + Hydrating botanical serum with kojic acid addresses a couple of different concerns - hydrates, lightens and brightens. At $87 it's not cheap, but also not the most expensive Skinceuticals product. I liked this and it did it's job, but I wouldn't repurchase. If you're looking for one serum to do multiple things, then this could be it! It uses botanicals so is very gentle. I have since found other products to replace it and haven't missed it.

This serum is made to clear up any dark spots and discoloration. I like to use it after applying essence and before moisturizer. I must say, if you use it consistently for more than a few weeks, it DOES work. It’s not a miracle overnight product but give it time and your spots will start to fade. It is almost $100 for a small bottle though (30 ml), which is why I give it 4 stars. If you can afford this product and have been trying to get rid of some dark spots I would definitely recommend.

Skinceuticals Serums Review | Worth the $$$?
Skinceuticals Serums Review | Worth the $$$?
I've been using Skinceuticals serums exclusively for the past three months to see if they truly made a difference in my skin! My main skin concerns is PIH, or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, that is left behind from breakouts. I have combination skin, I'm mostly normal except for my t-zone which is oily, and any kind of imbalance causes more oil! Let's jump into the serums: - Phloretin CF is a vitamin C serum formulated for more oily skin types. Vit C is so important for my routine and this was no exception! It layers really well underneath all other products because it's a thin, watery consistency. I stored this in my beauty fridge and didn't experience any kind of oxidation of the product! This is my favorite Vit C product that I've tried and a definite repurchase for me. - Phyto+ targets pigmentation using kojic acid and arbutin. It also soothes and calms the skin with cucumber and thyme. I liked this mask and definitely found it super calming, but don't think it did much for my discoloration. It was enjoyable to use but unfortunately I wouldn't repurchase, since I can get the same benefits from other less expensive options! - SKINCEUTICALS - Discoloration Defense Skin discoloration serum is a serum to target pigmentation using kojic acid, tranexamic acid, and niacinamide. It is hydroquinone free. This is my favorite and the most effective pigmentation fighting serum that I've tried. Like most pigmentation fighting serums this doesn't work immediately, but once it starts working the differences that it made in my skin were drastic! It works really well with other products, and I noticed even more improvement when I incorporated in a retinol product! Definitely going to repurchase this, but for now I'm trying a new serum that claims to work just as well for way less!
