Shea’s Get Unready With Me Routine 👋💋
Shea’s Get Unready With Me Routine 👋💋
Ok, so, as a Drag Queen, it is apparent that I wear A LOT of makeup, so as complicated at the getting ready process is, I need to dedicate a lot to successfully removing it. First... If you are wearing any glitter of ANY kind, it will be extremely important that it is removed FIRST. The best trick for removing glitter it to take a piece of duct tape, apply it to the areas that have glitter and then peel it off. I have found that using tape to remove glitter first is extremely important. Because once you start scrubbing your face, all it does is move the glitter around more. Once the glitter removal is complete, the next step is makeup removal. I enjoy ONE/SIZE - Go Off Makeup Dissolving Mist It’s a continuous mist thats infused with jojoba and rosehip oil. I spray it all over my face and neck, and massage the product in to break up all of the makeup. Normally I look either like a Jackson Pollock painting, or greased chimney sweep. After I have used the cream cleanser I go in with a ONE/SIZE - Go Off Juiciest Makeup Remover Wipes and wipe away the excess cream cleanser and makeup. I make sure to pay special attention to my eyelids, and lashes because the product tends to hide there. Next, I use SUNDAY RILEY - Ceramic Slip Cleanser for a nice gentle cleansing to remove any of the excess jojoba oil left behind by the Go Off mist. Toning is crucial. My favorite toner is SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner I love it because its a bit thicker than most toners since it is a gel, but it absorbs so well into the skin, and still leaves your pored open enough to handle more product. After toning, I like to use the SUNDAY RILEY - U.F.O. Ultra-Clarifying Face Oil to help my skin repair and fight of congestion after all the damage I have put it through. The oregano is great for that. Lastly, I use The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG under-eye serum to melt away any darkness and lock in brightening goodness.

When You Need that Extra Refresh
When You Need that Extra Refresh
Today I woke up feeling quite blah and wanted to feel more refreshed. I don’t currently have any apparent issues with my skin but I wanted to make my skin look and feel more awake. Do you ever wake up feeling just dull and wanting to give yourself that boost, even if it’s just something small like taking the time to do your skincare? I randomly picked out the products I thought would be perfect for making my skin feel refreshed and this is what I came up with. Of course you should pick any products you feel will do the trick for you :) 1). I first cleansed my skin (and skipped the toner today) 2). I applied the The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I always apply this all over my face, including under my eyes because it’s so hydrating and gentle. 3). Next, because niacinamide is the unicorn of all skincare products and mixes well with everything, I chose to add that next. It’s great if you have any noticeable redness or blemishes. 4). I applied The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG to depuff my eyes. 5). I then followed with OLAY - Eyes Brightening Eye Cream for that extra hydration (as if I didn’t get enough from the hyaluronic acid haha). 6). Then I applied REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Glow Daily Vitamin C Gel Cream I know some online articles say not to mix vitamin C with niacinamide as they think they counteract each other’s benefits, but there’s no proof that this actually happens. With that being said, I love this vitamin C gel cream because it smells amazing and it makes my skin look nice and bright. 7). And just because I felt like it, I finished with a tiny bit of The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Although my skin isn’t dry, I felt the more moisture the more refreshed I’d feel. I love all of these products and highly recommend everyone to try them out, even if it’s just a sample. I have nothing bad to say about any of them. If you’re ever just feeling dull, blah, or needing a pick-me-up, it’s nice to just take the time to treat your skin. Use the products your skin agrees with, of course. I have normal skin and I’m thankful all of these products agree with my skin.

Tough journey to good skin
Tough journey to good skin
I have always struggled with acne. As a person with Rosacea, my skin is ALWAYS read, I break out even if I look myself wrong in the mirror and trying to get into a skincare routine without breaking it, it’s a hassle. But, not impossible. Over the past month I started this routine, that if I may see and I haven’t followed through with it 100% of the time but at least a good 85%. I have to admit I haven’t seen my skin clear up as fast as I have with these products. So I’m going to break down step by step my routine. 1. Cleansing - the Clean&Clear - Morning Burst Oil-Free Gentle Daily Face Wash THIS is a relief on my skin, it feels so good. After that is definitely THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent , I bought the Coconut water scent one and it’s definitely one of my favorites. 2. Serums - I’ve always used Vitamin E, but never saw any type of improvement so I made a bit of research and this is what I use. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% After that I use FARMASI - Dr C Tuna Activated Charcoal Serum this one has been wonderful for the rough skin in my nose and forehead. artnaturals - 2.5% Retinol Age Defying Serum now this one makes my skin feel soft and refreshed. Last but not least in my serum is The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I have some dark circle under my eyes and if I don’t have my beauty sleep, Lord knows they show up, so this one is very good for my under eye circles. I confess I bought the Peeling Solution from The Ordinary but I’m a bit scared to try it. 3. Moisturize - This might be one of my favorite steps since it’s the most refreshing ones. For my rosácea, to bring the redness down I use FARMASI - Dr C Tuna Calendula Face Cream and for my regular moisturizer I use SheaMoisture - Cannabis & Witch Hazel Skin Rescue Moisturizer Now this, thiiiiiiiiiis is THE BOMB people, I’m telling you, it’s my LIFE SAVER. 4. Acne treatment - For pimples trying to come out, I use BURT’S BEES - Natural Acne Solutions Maximum Strength Spot Treatment Cream along with alba BOTANICA - Acne Pimple Patch and the next day, BOOM! Gone! All these products I bought of either the brand page or Target. I keep these stored in a mini fridge so they’re cold and refreshing to the skin.

The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG LOVE this product 😍 This is The Ordinary’s Caffeine Solution! Caffeine constricts blood vessels to reduce discoloration under the eyes. Also, EGCG is derived from green tea and has anti-inflammatory properties. Glycerin is an ingredient in most moisturizers and will help keep the undereye area hydrated. This product is targeted towards people who have darkness in the hallows of their eyes. This product will help address that pigmentation making you look more awake. I love this product because it really works! The key ingredients are amazing and effective. I love how the solution glides effortlessly on the undereye and can be layered underneath other eye creams. All you need is a drop for each eye with this product so it will last a really long time. I love the results of this product and I’m not even half way through the bottle! I especially like how these ingredients can be used on all skin types. Since this is an undereye treatment, caffeine should work well no matter what skin type you have!

☕️What it is? The Ordinary Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ☕️Key Ingredient: Caffeine and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). Actually, I don't know what it is, but it does work magically in de-puffing!! ☕️My Thought: I always prefer eye cream to serum because the texture of cream makes me feel moisturized, but this serum is really my HG! I dare say, there is no better eye serum than this in removing puffiness. Whether you just woke up or cried because of your boyfriend, whenever you think your eyes are puffy, open this magical little bottle, squeeze out a few drops and apply them to your eyelids and swollen eye bags. Massage it in a soft way until it is absorbed, and you will notice the change in 10 mins. To be honest, this is not a good serum for daily routine because it is not nourishing, but as an occasional tool to deal with puffiness, it is perfect! Plus its price, less than $7!!! I can't find a reason why you wouldn't buy it!! No matter your skin type and budget, as long as you think you may occasionally need some de-puff products, buy it!!

The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG For $6.70, The Ordinary came out with not only an affordable product, but it’s also an amazing one! Their Caffeiene Solution 5% + EGCG is a concentrated serum with high-solubility caffeine and green tea cathechin to visibly reduce eye contour pigmentation and puffiness. This is a wonderful solution for dark circles and puffiness, let me tell you!! Also if you don’t know what EGCG is, it’s a highly purified epigallocathechin gallantly glycoside which is basically from green tea and as we all know green tea is a form of caffeine/energy. * * * This is a darker serum with a brown hue. It’s not very sticky at all, I find it very cooling and blend-able. This was one of my first eye serums that I’ve used and it’s definitely a staple. I’ve used this for almost two years now. I found this product interesting because of the ingredients. I definitely saw results after using it for a few days both evening and morning. I felt as if my eyes were not as dark and “drooped” as they seemed to be. * * * Definitely think everyone needs to try this babe out! Caffeine is high in antioxidants which aids in anti-aging by fighting off free radicals. It constricts small blood vessels/improves circulation (the idea with reducing the dark circles under your eyes.. ha!), reduces inflammation and redness. I suppose someone could use this all over your face if you’d like, so another veritable product for tha win!
