What Else You Need to KnowHolding four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid, this super hydrator creates a thin breathable film on the surface of the skin, locking in the moisture below while plumping, reducing the appearance of fine lines, brightening, and evening skin tone. ✨Current morning routine ☀️✨
This is my fall/winter skin routine, it’s not as moisturizing as a lot of others people’s routines (but I’m indoors a lot more so my biggest concern is dry air versus cold dry air, and maskne) THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum Recently, I learned of the benefits of polyglutamic acid and figured why not try it out. Apart from the strong chemical smell. I love the foundation it creates for my face, leaving it ever so slight tacky making it much easier to add on other products without that built up feeling. It’s been a couple months and I have noticed a different in the softness of my face and just so you know, it’s perfectly fine to use with hyaluronic acid! COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence After my foundation, I go on to add the revered snail mucin, no need to rave about this. You must already know if you’re here haha. THE inkey LIST - Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA) Blemish + Blackhead Serum My newest holy grail. It has reduced the appearance of the clogged pores on my nose. And let me tell you I have so many of them. From blackheads to keratin plugs. I totally believe everyone should have a bha serum of any sort in their routine! PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I go over all of the previous products with 2 of my favorite niacinamide products, niacinamide helps with a multitude of ailments, from hyperpigmentation/scarring to pore care. It’s definitely helped with certain areas of my face. THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream I know the cream isn’t going to stay put only on my eye area and usually I avoid eye creams all together but recently I have been interested in trying out different eye creams, I do enjoy this one. Although I have not really seem much of a difference in the way my eyes look haha THE BETTER SKIN CO. - Better Skin Mirakle Cream To seal it all in, a good fragrance free moisturizer.

products up on the box shelf that i thought i’d share! ✨the inkey list polyglutamic acid: if you love hyaluronic acid, meet this bad boy. PGA holds four times more moisture than hyaluronic acid, which is insane. i use this after serums (locks them all in) but before moisturizer. ✨the inkey list BHA: this is an exfoliant that’s great for knocking out excess oil/blackheads. it’s super strong and i wouldn’t recommend daily use. i’m specifically using this only on my chin, since that’s where i typically get congested pores. ✨drunk elephant d-bronzi: i mix in 1-2 drops with my moisturizer OR i’ve just been using a brush and using this as a liquid bronzer. i rarely wear makeup and this is an amazing alternative to traditional powder bronzer.

Can You Believe A $15 Face Serum Transformed Reese Witherspoon Skin???!!!
Congratulates to Reese Witherspoon won the Emmy Awards as one of the Best Lead Actress in a Drama. Reese Witherspoon's signature fresh skin and classic red lipstick go deep into the hearts of the people. Her makeup artist Kelsey Deenihan shares her fresh skin secret and what really surprised me is the using products that all cost $15 or less! And what's also surprised me is that we can find Kelsey Deenihan Cherie's account!!! 💋Reese Witherspoon's Secret to get a Flawless Skin: THE inkey LIST - Q10 Antioxidant Serum THE inkey LIST - Peptide Moisturizer To give Witherspoon the best possible canvas for makeup, she started by applying The Inkey List's Q10 Antioxidant Serum, a cocktail of antioxidants, peptides, and squalane that smoothes and hydrates skin. Deenihan followed that with the brand's Peptide Moisturizer, which Deenihan says is fast-absorbing. THE inkey LIST - Caffeine Eye Cream THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum To prevent concealer creasing, she applied The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream under Witherspoon's eyes before topping off her whole face with Polyglutamic Acid, "the perfect makeup base." Witherspoon looked virtually flawless on the red carpet! The entire routine used for her skincare before makeup costs roughly $55 in total! Perfect budget, amazing products which show that even to get red carpet-ready skin, don't have to spend an arm and a leg! (Information get from Allure) ❤️My Personal Review: The INKEY List - Peptide Moisturizer: Luckily I tried one of the products that Reese Witherspoon used! I love moisturizers, especially when they’re simple but nourishing. This product is a lightweight, emollient cream that has a bouncy texture that makes it perfect for evening use and suitable for non-oily folks to use in the AM, leaving a silky radiant finish and quenched feeling for the skin. It soaks in beautifully and isn’t greasy at all. I think this is a really nice hydrating moisturizer that can replenish dehydrated dry skin, at a pretty affordable price, in an air-tight pump that keeps the product clean and contamination risk minimal.

INGREDIENT SPOTLIGHT: A Polyglutamic Acid How-To
Now that Sephora has finally reopened its stores in LA, I managed to pick up a couple of products by The Inkey List, including this Polyglutamic acid serum/moisturizer. I’ve heard about this ingredient in passing but didn’t know too much about the research behind it- here’s what I found! THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum What is Polyglutamic Acid? A mild peptide like HA- not one of those exfoliating acids like AHA/BHA! PGA is a newly touted moisturizer/humectant that supposedly holds 4x the amount of water that hylauronic acid does. If hearing this makes you think that the skincare industry has just become an ingredient space race, I FEEL YOU AND YOU ARE NOT WRONG. By no means should you toss your HA or feel that you need to keep adding more to an existing routine you are content with. I hope giving you options will allow us all to make informed skin decisions. Anyway, polyglutamic acid supposedly works synergistically with HA, so for those with dry skin or if you’re going through a dehydrated phase needing an extra bit of hydration, this may be a good item to add! Impressions of The Inkey List’s PGA? I wasn’t in love with it at first as the initial smell reminded me of chemicals, almost like faint Sharpie pen (although fragrance free, I may have appreciated something to cover up the smell!). But the good thing is that the smell doesn’t last. Thicker in texture than my typical serum on application, I was expecting the product to pill or stay sticky but after a few minutes of it sitting on top of my other HA-based serums I’m pleased to say that it dries rather smooth and matte! It’s matte but definitely not drying. For $15, I’d say this 1.0 Fl Oz was worth a shot. I kind of love that it’s not tacky like some HAs out there. Im also really appreciating the simple plastic pump bottle application- great for on-the-go situations. When to use it? I see it as a serum-moisturizer hybrid for healing dehydrated skin! In my current AM routine, I use sunscreen as my moisturizer, but PGA is light enough for me to sneak it in after my Vitamin C serum and before my sunscreen step. I also see myself using it at night as a moisturizer after all my active-containing serums to lock in all that moisture. TLDR? Dehydrated cracked skin? Using synergistically with existing hylauronic acid-containing serums should give best results! Cheers to summer skin 🥂
THE inkey LIST-Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum
I've tried two serums for two weeks and this is what happened...🤔
Recently, I have been using The Night Time Renewal Set I bought from Sephora. It includes two pure serums: One is retinol for anti-aging and the other one is a polyglutamic acid serum for a moisturizing effect. Below I'm going to share how I've been using them and the feeling after using them for around two weeks now. THE inkey LIST - Retinol Anti-Aging Serum Directions: At night, I'll squeeze a soybean-sized amount of the serum and pat it evenly onto my face after cleansing and using a toner, then I'll continue with my skin care routine, including applying a serum and a face cream. In simpler words, I'm just adding this retinol serum in between my water and serum skin care routine. Feeling: It has a brownish-yellow, sticky texture and it's scent-free. Retinol is also known as vitamin A. It eliminates free radicals to prevent collagen degradation, accelerate the regeneration of elastic fibers, and slow down the development of wrinkles to achieve an anti-aging effect. However, after using it for two weeks, I haven't seen any obvious results😔, so I'm going to stop using it for a while after I finish the bottle and maybe start using it after another half year. THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum(for moisturizing) Polyglutamic acid focuses on moisturizing and it has the ability of keeping 8 to 10 times more water on our skin compared with hyaluronic acid, so it's known as the best moisturizing ingredient in skin care products. Directions: I also add this serum in between my usual toner and serum skin care routine. Recently, I've been using both retinol and polyglutamic acid together also by squeezing a soybean-sized amount of the serum and patting it evenly onto my face. Feeling: This polyglutamic acid serum has a murky transparent gel-like texture and it's scent-free. It doesn't dry up my skin, and it leaves my skin supple, so I've decided to purchase a bottle every winter. I love it!😘

January Empties 🗑
I finished up a bunch of products last month and this month, here's the low down on what I emptied! ➕may lindstrom skin - The Jasmine Garden this will absolutely be a repurchase, but not until I finish some other mists. It's expensive but the formula and ingredients are totally worth it. I used it as a toner, when my skin needed a pick me up, or when I felt like I needed extra hydration. It is without a doubt a WANT and not a NEED, but if you want to treat yourself it's perfect! ➖ LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo Dual Acne Treatment i won't be picking this up again, it just wasn't effective for my skin. I think it's too expensive for what it is at $30, there are a ton of other acne treatments for cheaper that are effective. It was drying and just didn't help all breakouts clear up any quicker. It did work for deep under the skin breakouts, but again not as well as other treatments I've tried. ➕ THE inkey LIST - Polyglutamic Acid Hydrating Serum this is already in my Sephora cart to repurchase! It works really well for my combination skin and I can sometimes get away with not needing a moisturizer. For $15 it's totally worth it! ➕ THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Serum another favorite from the inkey list! For $8 it's totally worth trying out, but also because it's the best HA! It's a thin consistency that works well with other products. It's not sticky and doesn't pill. ➕ SKINCEUTICALS - Discoloration Defense Skin Discoloration Serum this is one of my favorite serums that fights hyperpigmentation! Yes it’s expensive at $98, you’re paying for the ingredients and the skin suit aka brand. This was really effective for my PIH and I would repurchase it if it's in my budget. There are other serums that have similar ingredients and will do similar things for your skin, it really comes down to preference. This does what it says, but is expensive. ➕ SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin Cf vitamin c is essential to my routine! I'm extremely picky about the vitamin c that I use and this is absolutely the best! It's a watery texture that sinks into the skin quickly and works well underneath other products. It didn't oxidize, but I did keep it in the fridge! It's very expensive at $166 but totally worth it in my opinion because it's so effective. ➕ SKINCEUTICALS - Phyto + Hydrating Botanical Serum With Kojic Acid addresses a couple of different concerns - hydrates, lightens and brightens. At $87 it's not cheap, but also not the most expensive Skinceuticals product. I liked this and it did it's job, but I wouldn't repurchase. If you're looking for one serum to do multiple things, then this could be it! It uses botanicals so is very gentle. I have since found other products to replace it and haven't missed it.
