Starting differin and panoxyl
Starting differin and panoxyl
I wanted to document my skin journey before I started using differin to see my skin’s improvement. I’m slowly introducing it once every two weeks and then using it more often nightly. My current skincare routine in the am is DR. BRONNER'S - Organic Eucalyptus Castile Liquid Soap This product is great for shaving and other purposes but I haven’t seen any difference in my skin GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner Makes my skin really bright and awake GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum Makes my pores look smaller and gives me bright skin as well ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Eye Cream This was a waste of money I didn’t really see any difference in my under eyes. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 A little sticky but makes my skin feel very moisturized. PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ Makes my skin feel a little oily but there is no white cast. For pm I use LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser Makes my skin feel very clean great for oily skin And then I continue with the am routine minus the spf. ADVANCED CLINICALS - Dark Spot Corrector I then use this product last it has made my dark spots much less noticeable. Once a week The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I haven’t seen much improvement in my skin. I don’t feel much at all using this product. I oil cleanse with castor and jojoba oil then use my la roche cleanser Previously I have used The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Very sticky but improved my acne there was purging with this product initially. THAYERS - Witch Hazel Astringent I used this out of habit for a long time there was no improvement in my skin. I’m also going to be switching out my am cleanser for PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength I understand the two products I’m going to be using make your skin very dry so if you have any moisturizer recommendations please leave them below. If there’s anything you think I can change in my routine or any advice please feel free to leave a comment. This is my first week starting these two products I will continue to leave updates. Thank you!

Quick lil skin update

Phew my skin has calmed down so much since the last time I posted 10 days ago. I cannot even explain how bad purging was for me. I realized I had so much gunk clogged in my pores it was insane! My skin is finally calming down and getting smoother. Not completely, still have hyperpigmentation and some small comedones but I feel like I’m finally over the worst part🤞🏽😅 My current skin care routine definitely feels less harsh than what I was using in the beginning and is as follows: AM Routine: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser Gentle on my skin in the morning, not stripping or drying but kinda pricey I feel like you could find a similar, cheaper option SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face OilJust started using this for the past week so I can’t tell if it’s doing anything yet but it’s fast absorbing AND it’s THD Ascorbate (as opposed to Ascorbic Acid) meaning it’s more stable, can be mixed with niacinamide and other higher pH ingredients AND has a longer shelf-life The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HAAlso just started using this so not sure if it’s doing anything CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin A+, love to death elta md SKINCARE - UV Daily Broad-Spectrum SPF 40 Another ride or die🤞🏽 PM Routine: BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil I’ve learned that I love cleansing OILS as opposed to balms but there are cheaper options out there ☺️ CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skin Started using this again at night and so glad I did! It really feels like it’s cleaning and getting into my pores 🧼 (key: after washing my face for a minute I let the wash sit for another minute or 2 to let the SA really sink in) SKINCEUTICALS - Blemish + Age Defense MY HOLY GRAIL. Has really transformed my skin in the past 2 weeks, definitely recommend if you’ve got the budget cause this bad boy sits at $92 PURITO - Centella Green Level Calming Toner I apply this thick calming toner 15 minutes after letting my skinceuticals absorb in my skin and it’s so calming love it ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Eye Cream Love this thick eye cream especially when I put it in my skin care fridge, not sure if it does more than moisturize though THE inkey LIST - Ceramide Night Treatment Nice consistency, not too heavy or light, but not sure if it does anything yet The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane 2 drops at night to seal everything in, has my skin waking up glowy and non irritated ✨

An Eye for an Eye 😃

I really like this eye cream because I sometimes use it as a spot treatment for acne scars which works great! It’s got Q10 but it is at the end of the ingredient list. I’m not so into the fact that it does have coconut oil high up on the list or there at all. It also has alcohol on the list which could be avoided. 🤔 I honestly would not put this on my eye area even though this is marketed as such. There are products out there that can and in my opinion should be used for other things and this is just that product. I apply it on acne scars and in the last stage of the acne healing process and for my skin, it works! Just be cautious if you will be putting this on your orbital area.

I love this night cream and I love Acure. This brand is clean and cruelty free, and most of the packaging is recyclable as well! Most importantly, it hydrates hydrates hydrates! As Acure mentions, it's richly packed with ferulic acid, vitamin C, and multi-peptides - yet it's light whipped texture is wonderful on the skin! I especially love the hydration it provides as I've been dealing with very dry skin this winter and I've had to go through lengths to hydrate my skin. I bought this a month ago and I am in love with it. And it's quite affordable for the clean, ethical, and successful product you get. ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Eye Cream
