Let’s talk moisturizers + creams!
I’m very picky when it comes to my moisturizer, I love a moisturizer that is dewy but not greasy and leaves me hydrated for hours. I have combo skin but more on the drier side so finding a good moisturizer can be difficult for me. Below are some of my favorites and ones that I’ve recently tried! 💧 Fourth Ray - Good Mood Gel Moisturizer A recent purchased that i’m satisfied with. A little goes a long way, if you use too much it’ll look greasy instead of dewy and it will be harder to blend in. Otherwise, it leaves the face nice and hydrated. belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb My HOLY GRAIL moisturizer. I received a mini and fell in love instantly, I’ve been repurchasing ever since. It feels so luxurious without being too expensive. It gives me the perfect amount of dew without leaving my t-zone oily, it is lightweight but it keeps my skin hydrated all day. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream Very affordable compared to these other moisturizers. It’s a cream that doesn’t feel heavy on the skin and you don’t need too much. It doesn’t leave my skin looking as pretty as my other favorites, but it gets the job done. Therefore i’ll be using it as a night cream. Simple - Water Boost Skin Quench Sleep Cream Although it is a night cream, it serves as a beautiful lightweight moisturizer for the day time. If you’ve tried the version that is meant to be used as a daily moisturizer let me know if they’re alike! e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer I loooove this moisturizer. It’s lightweight and looks pretty on the skin , while keeping my skin hydrated. It also has one of my favorite ingredients: jojoba oil! The downside is that it’s a tube with a pump. very annoying. Co THE BODY SHOP - Vitamin C Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 This used to be my holy grail, I used it for two years straight. It’s extremely glowy, but it makes my t-zone oily, which was the reason why I made the switch to belif because that one is simply better. Also i got tired of the citrus smell. BUT! this one has spf 30 which was a big win for me when I did use it and for those who don’t want to layer a moisturizer on top of an spf. TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream I received a mini of this and I want to repurchase the full size so badly!! It’s expensive but I think it’s worth it. When I had the mini I would use it as my ‘fancy’ moisturizer for when I wanted to go out and look extra cute. It’s hydrating and looks extremely beautiful on the skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration If you have really dry or ace prone skin, this will be your bff. I used this when my skin would experience my issues and it would help! Although hydrating, it leaves an almost ‘matte’ finish. So I would use it at night instead because I like a glowy-daytime look.

Full-sized Skin Care
If you all remember my first post I got the elf jet set hydration kit and I loved it so much I got the full-sized of each product. I finally received these in mail today and I think I should do a full review on each products. e.l.f. - Nourishing Night Cream The elf nourishing night cream is actually one of the best night creams I’ve used. It never does me wrong. I only think it just takes a little extra to work. e.l.f. - Illuminating Eye Cream Best. Eye Cream. Ever. That’s it. That’s the review e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer Love this moisturizer. It leaves my skin so soft and I never feel dry after. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a lightweight moisturizer. e.l.f. - Prep and Hydrate Balm Based on the travel kit I was advised to used this as a toner and can I say that it’s one of the best things. I don’t know if I’m lazy but liquid toners that I have to put on cotton pads are just too much work for me 😂. So the fact that I can just swipe and go is a benefit. So in this picture you see a jelly cleanser that I’ve never tried before. I bought it because the elf daily cleanser was sold out at the time (obviously because it’s so good 😊) So I’ll try it out and review it at a later date. I highly recommend all these products but I would recommend the travel size to try it all first.

You Won't Regret For Buying These🥰🥰
These 3 hydrating products are my all-time favorite, and the best part is that they are not expensive, so there is no excuse to not try them. Nivea crème NIVEA - NIVEA Crème I love this product because it is very affordable and easy to find, also I purchased the big container that has lasted me over 6 months! The packaging is very simple but practical and it comes in various sizes so you can have your big jar at home or the small one in your purse! It has no scent really but every time you put it in your face you got this fresh feeling. The consistency is very thick but I find it blends beautifully once you start rubbing it in your face. I like to use it at morning when I get out of the shower, after cleaning my face thoroughly, this is the final step of my skincare morning routine. Once applied your skin will feel revitalized and smooth with no oily sensation afterwards! It has become a part of my holy grail products. Ponds - Dry skin cream I have been using this product since I started a skincare routine in junior high, I would say I have stick to this product a good 10 years of my life to say the least. It is a very popular and affordable, very easy to find as well in every drugstore you will see a variety of different colors by this brand but I have found the one with the blue cap works for me, this is the one for dry skin. It comes in a variety of sizes as well; I like to get the baby jar to keep with me at all times. It is unscented and very creamy; I like to apply a few dots directly to my face when getting out of the shower and start rubbing it very gentle. This formula is kind of oily but after a few minutes within the application you will see it will blend perfectly with your skin. It will give you a smooth and dewy look afterwards and the consistency it’s so light that makes it a perfect base before applying your make up! I deeply recommend this product to anyone who is getting started with a skincare routine for its effectiveness and price! It is worth every cent and it has become an instant classic! Elf - daily moisturizer e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer I just a had a chance of getting my hands on this product and I’ve loved it since then. I know this brand it’s popular for their makeup but they have some interesting skincare options, like this one. The formula is very light not heavy at all and it absorbs very well into dry skin like mine. The packaging is beautiful and you cannot beat the price. Once applied, it will leave your skin feeling fresh and hydrated for the whole day! The scent is very light as I like it for a moisturizer and I have found that keeps my skin less oily at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend trying this product, can’t wait to purchase more skincare items from this brand!

My daily skincare routine!
My favorite aspect of hygiene is skincare. I’ve become a bit obsessed with it for over the last year because I’m still trying to learn what works for me and what doesn’t. I am a teenager with skin that is sometimes dry combination and sometimes oily combination and while I don’t get acne that often, when I do I’m usually left with acne scars, whether I pop my pimple or not 🙃 So here’s my ratings on my skincare routine!!! Am routine; I start by oil cleansing my face with organic coconut oil, which is what is in the orange pill bottle (gotta reuse where you can LMAO) I then use Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser which I really enjoy because it doesn’t strip my face and make it feel tight or anything (it’s also fun to use because yk...it’s foam 😭) after cleansing I use Queen Helene - 100% Cocoa Butter, Stick because I’ve been using it to treat the tricky dark spots I’ve accumulated from acne and I’ve been using it ever since I became a teenager I then use the e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer because it is lightweight but really moisturizing and it doesn’t make me look incredibly shiny finally I use Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF30 I use the spf 85+ one because it’s summer and almost days I am outside for some reason or another. Spf in the black community is sometimes seen as silly when it’s applied everyday (my mom thinks I’m crazy for using it on a daily basis) but I know that it’s good for you and it’s helped with my dark spots Pm routine; I start off with my organic coconut oil again because most days I have on at least mascara so I need to get my makeup off I then use Aveeno - CLEAR COMPLEXION Cream Face Cleanser With Salicylic Acid and I like it a good amount although I thought I’d see bigger results but I’m sure I have to just keep using it. I’m not the biggest fan of salicylic acid and for a really long time I avoided it because it can be so drying but since it’s summer my skin gets really oily and my little light cleansers can’t stand on their own to battle my oil and acne. I’ve had a pretty good experience with this cleanser though, it isn’t drying at all and it’s really refreshing, I just took off a star because I want to get to use it more to see how it works for me on regular nights that aren’t exfoliation nights I use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and on exfoliation nights (Sunday’s and Wednesday’s ofc) I use The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution (which is in the rad dispenser bottle with the blue top). I enjoy both of the products and I can really see the difference when I don’t exfoliate with the glycolic acid vs when I do. after treating my skin I go in with my coco butter again finally I use THE inkey LIST - Vitamin B, C, and E Moisturizer
Queen Helene- 100% Cocoa Butter, Stick
Wake up dewy!🔥 Cheap? Say less😏
I always struggle on finding the best moisturizer, I have very sensitive & dry skin! I have Eczema, and chronic urticaria which make my skin even more sensitive & dry... here’s some reviews & my opinion on some Morning moisturizers!💯 e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face CreamThis is more in the middle of light & thick but absorbs very quickly, leaves your skin very plumped & awake! Hydrates you’re skin very well. Only downfall to me is that you do have to use a good amount. Other than that I love this product!✅ GARNIER - SkinActive Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-CreamI love how it’s gel form, feels very refreshing & soothing on the skin! You feel hydrated, but doesn’t last hours.. if your doing a no makeup look, this definitely can hold you over! If you do wear makeup, i would go for a longer lasting moisturizer!!✅ e.l.f. - Daily Hydration MoisturizerTo me this has more of a tacky feeling, a little more on the matte side to me. If you do want the Hydration feeling you have to use a good amount, it has a thicker consistency. I feel like combination/oily skin would be AMAZING for this product. Although if u have DRY skin, I would find a better product. But it is a good moisturizer to use as primer, I don’t hate it. I would use it, just not my first choice. But with the price, you can’t beat it!✅

Elf Skin Care Review!!
Overall I had a pretty good first impression of elf’s skin care. The e.l.f. - Jet Set Hydration Kit was well worth the $15 I spent on it. Now, let’s get into the details. First, the e.l.f. - Daily Face Cleanser . I liked it okay, it didn’t leave my face feeling dry. It did kind of almost feel like soap, in a way, but that’s just a personal thing I noticed. It wasn’t spectacular, but it got the job done. Next, the e.l.f. - Prep and Hydrate Balm I am not a huge fan of this. Now, to be fair, I do not wear makeup, so maybe this works well if you are planning to put makeup on, but to use alone, I really wasn’t a fan. It felt kind of weird on my face and I don’t really feel like it help to hydrate my face in any way. e.l.f. - Daily Hydration Moisturizer I love this moisturizer! It feels nice once applied and it makes my skin feel soft. I already bought it in the full size! e.l.f. - Nourishing Night Cream this stuff is pretty good. I’m not convinced it really did anything to help but it applies nice and it made my skin feel pretty good though I’m not sure it’s doing anything the moisturizer couldn’t and I don’t like spending extra money if I don’t need too. e.l.f. - Illuminating Eye Cream I do not know much about eye cream, so I don’t think I’m right person to rate this, but I don’t really know if it did anything for me. I will definitely keep using it, but I doubt that I’ll buy it again. That is all for the Jet Set Hydration Kit!! Overall it was a really good purchase!! I love that it came in travel sizes because I like trying things in smaller forms before fully committing to the full size products and prices. Thanks for reading and I hope this helps someone!!
