Best Way to HYDRATE
Hydrating cleansers and moisturizers are a great way of hydrating your skin on a long term basis, but what do you do if you just want a quick way to add some extra moisture/hydration to your skin care routine? Some may say to use a serum like The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5or DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum. Although serums as such do provide your skin with extra moisture on a temporary basis (and perhaps long term depending on the product), are they really the most effective? Do they make it easier for your skin to absorb the hydrating components of your moisturizer? In my experience, they do not. So what does do the trick? Answer? Hydrating mists infused with hyaluronic acid! The one I use is e.l.f. - Hydrating Coconut Mist and it is my MUST HAVE e.l.f. Cosmetics product! Whereas serums may add some extra moisture to your skin, a mist literally dampens your skin, leaving it feeling wet right after use. And as this mist has hyaluronic acid in it, it will absorb the moisture from the products applied following its use. Therefore, pairing a hydrating mist with hyaluronic acid & a hydrating moisturizer afterwards will help your skin reach its peak hydration. Moreover, the mist I use by e.l.f. is also infused with Vitamin E, which has its own amazing benefits in skincare. When I used DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Seruminstead of a mist, I did not achieve the same level of hydration. As someone who’s skin dries up really quickly, a hydrating moisturizer itself is not enough for my skin. When I used the B Hydra, I had to reapply my moisturizer a few hours later as my skin was left quenching for some extra moisture. I do not face this problem when using my mist. In conclusion, Best Way to Hydrate = Hydrating Mist Infused With Hyaluronic Acid + Hydrating Moisturizer 💦 UPDATE: There have been a lot of comments on how there are fragrances and other ingredients in this mist that can be irritating for the skin and bad for acne. Although this may be true, I have been using this mist for about 5 months and have not personally faced any of these negative side effects. That being said, everyone’s skin is different so be careful with what works for you. Also, there was a comment on how cerave should be enough to hydrate my skin. As I said earlier, everyone’s skin is different and a cleanser and moisturizer is not enough for MY skin. So I take the extra measure of using a mist:) Just sharing my personal experience!

coconuts for this mist!
SKIN TYPE: normal PRODUCT: a hydrating mist with hyaluronic acid & vitamin e. I first came across this on ulta.com when shopping for other products and as a huge fan of all things coconut, I knew I had to try it! 🥥 sure enough, it smells exactly like coconuts 😍 the spray is very fine and evenly distributes the product. I love to spritz some on my face fresh out of the shower for added moisture before applying my moisturizers and serums 🚿 I love this mist and will definitely repurchase it. It leaves my skin feeling fresh! I think any skin type can benefit from it! PRICE: this is $8 on the ulta website, which isn’t bad at all. but they always have coupons and sales so you’re practically guaranteed a cheaper price! RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My most recent E.l.f Haul
My current makeup and skin care collection is VERY busy. I keep buying different things because I like the way they look, others reviews, or I’m bored. But I’m trying to bring my collection down to maybe one brand or two, depending on what product I like from a specific company. I’ve always loved E.l.f products, but was always under the impression that high end products were it. No! There are some high end products that I will probably continue to use because they work for my skin. My go to look right now, is natural, pretty, glowy skin :) with minimal concealer and powder/bronzer and blush. After I use up all my other products, these are going to be my go to products for that look! I have used some of these before and tested some new purchases☺️ e.l.f. - Supertone Toner-only used once. Did not burn when tested. Anything that helps brighten my skin is up my alley:) e.l.f. - Hydrating Coconut Mist-Have not used yet e.l.f. - Elf+ Glow Dewy Mist-Used once, good mist and smells delicious☺️ e.l.f. - Glow Radiant Moisturizer SPF 15- This is a great glowy moisturizer. It smells like you’re about to spend a day on the beach. It has SPF which is great. Product did not feel greasy. e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Face Palette- Have not tried yet. But the tones look beautiful and natural. I wish they had a beautifully bare palette that compliments our deeper complexion beauties. Hopefully they come out with one 💕 e.l.f. - e.l.f. Lip Exfoliator- I have this in Brown Sugar. Great lip prep. Tastes good, but I wouldn’t eat it🤣 e.l.f. - Superbrighten Peel Pads- have not tried yet e.l.f. - CBD Facial Oil-This oil smells really good and feels good on the skin. You will have to adjust the amount that suits your skin type. I would not overload this product on as it is an oil. Those with more oily skin would probably benefit from using it as a night time treatment instead of a daytime routine. e.l.f. - Beautifully Bare Natural Glow Lotion - Great lotion for a little extra glow e.l.f. - Smooth & Set Eye Powder-Used once. Looked nice. Did not look too powdery. e.l.f. - Illuminating Eye Cream- Have not used yet. Still have some other products I’m trying to use up. e.l.f. - Glow Primer Stick- This primer stick gives a cool feeling as you apply. Feels great around the under eye area. Not sticky or greasy. e.l.f. - Calm Balm-Feels great on the lips. Nice, smooth balm. e.l.f. - HD Lifting Concealer-This concealer is very lightweight and luminous. It does not feel like anything on my skin :) The shade range is HORRIBLE. But if you are able to make it work I say go for it. The 16hr camo concealers have a much better shade range, but they are just a little too much for my liking at the moment. e.l.f. - Line & Define Eye Tape- Have not tried yet. No reason to do my eye makeup right now 😩

Loveeeeee this mist
I am always hesitant to buy elf skincare because it’s so cheap. But I never end up being disappointed by anything! I love this e.l.f. - Hydrating Coconut Mist so much! It’s hydrating, just like it says and it smells soooooo good. Whenever I spray it on my face it reminds me of tanning lotion which then reminds me of summer! It just makes me feel good. I spray it on in the morning and at night right after I cleanse my face and right before I apply my moisturizer and it just adds a little bit of extra hydration that I need. It’s also a very fine mist and it’s just perfect when you spray it on!
