Glowin’ because TJ Maxx treats me RIGHT 💫😤
My last post made me even more aware of what a beauty noob I am, so today after work I went to TJ Maxx to look for a new highlighter because I never pay full price for anything (s/o to my parents for guilt-tripping me for 20 years!) In the end,I found said highlighter and so, so much more... First things first: I picked up the REVOLUTION - Strobe Highlighter in Holographic Lights and had this internal debate over whether or not to buy it but, at the end of the day, who needs to stress over a $3 product? So I decided to get it. I already had what I thought was a pretty decent highlighter, but boy was I wrong. This stuff is BEAUTIFUL. Someone with a little more cred might not be quite as impressed but I love it and that’s that. 💅 Plot twist: I see yet another beautiful Revolution highlighter and start to debate again until I remember that I am working lady and I can have both. So I also got the REVOLUTION - Liquid Highlighter in Champagne which is also so good and was only $3.50! I also ended up with: - MAC - Amplified Lipstickin Mocha - BITE - Outburst Longwear Lip Stainin Infuse - stila - Stay All Day Sheer Liquid Lipstickin Forza - MILANI - Everyday Eyes Eyeshadow Palette07 - a “golden nudes” eye palette from a company called Style Essentials, which I haven’t heard of and can’t find in here. I was a little skeptical of this one just because I don’t know anything about it, but it was cheap and I’ll definitely use it :) All of these items were well under $10 and I am super pumped to get my money’s worth!
HIGHLIGHT THE INNER CORNER OF YOUR EYES MY DUDES
This is an old picture, but I’m posting it as a testament to the bomb ass makeup move that is putting a little highlighter on the inner corners of both eyes. This trick totally brightens the whole face and makes your eyes look huge! To add to the huge factor, you can also lightly line your under eye waterline with white eyeliner and add mascara, brown/dark eyeshadow, or even some eyeliner (I’m not great at this... yet) to your *outer* lower lash line. One thing though- if you use too much highlight or misapply and end up highlighting your under eye bags, the trick is pretty counterproductive so be careful! Really surprised by this highlighter! I have it in the shade holographic lights. The highlighter looks pretty white but in the sun or any bright area it has a green sheen to it and I love it. I thought it was going to be an ok product but it wasn’t and I’m glad I bought this. Plus a little goes a long way. It’s a great highlighter to apply anywhere. Sometimes I use this to give a glowy sheen to the tops of my shoulders and chest area cause why not. Plus it’s a really affordable drugstore product. I got this at ULTA.
