Is Glitter Primer Worth It?
Is Glitter Primer Worth It?
TLDR: YES glitter primer is worth it Some people choose not to use actual eye primer. I personally do on a daily basis - the MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer . Some choose to use concealer, and if that works for you, that’s awesome. So why would you need a glitter primer, especially if you aren’t someone who wears glitter? Keep reading! I own the NYX - Glitter Primer . It’s affordable (approx. $7), cruelty-free, and widely available. I have a large eyeshadow palette collection. Some of my palettes are a few years old (like my tarte - Maneater Eyeshadow Palette V2 - mine is original version which you can’t get anymore but v2 contains same shades) and the shimmers don’t perform as well. You can use a glitter primer to amp up the intensity of lackluster shimmers! I swatched the shade “foxy” on dry skin w/ no primer, over the Milani primer, and over the NYX glitter primer. The swatch with the glitter primer is more shimmery and the shadow looks like how it used to 3-4 years ago. The glitter primer also holds onto shadow much better and will increase wear time. Glitter primer is great for, you guessed it, glitter. Now, admittedly I own a few COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Glitter and will flat out warn you they’re not technically eye safe. I regret buying a bunch of them but that’s a story for a different time. I have used the glitter glue to adhere these glitters to my eyes and I experience almost 0 fall-out. That’s incredible! The glitter primer can also be used on your body if you’re into body glitter. By the way, the shade I’m showing is the shade “fyre” - a gorgeous green. You can see in the swatches the glitter primer makes the glitter much more opaque and it adheres to the skin significantly better. I recommend looking for eye safe glitter. The NYX’s texture is quite tacky, so be sure to finish applying any other matte shadows before using this because it will be difficult to blend on top. I use this glitter glue most often for my older shimmer shadows. It’s also great for this of us with hooded eyes (raises hand) that experience a ton of shimmer transfer into the crease. It won’t completely stop the transfer, but it definitely helps. I fully recommend adding a glitter primer to your primer collection. At this price point, it’s a steal for the quality! #CheriePartner

✨ No Makeup Makeup Mask Look ✨
✨ No Makeup Makeup Mask Look ✨
After constantly wearing full glam for the past couple of years the majority of the days, it’s been refreshing to just go for a light and natural look! Having a mask cover over half of my face whenever I go out makes the focus my eyes and I mainly keep it simple and quick. I included swatches of the shades I used on my eyes on the last slide. . What I used: tarte - Shape Tape Concealer : A classic concealer, I use it to cover blemishes on my forehead and prime my eyelids. It’s high coverage and stays put the whole day. It’s hard to shade match online. benefit - Goof Proof Brow Pencil : A decent brow pencil, it’s very creamy and easily can get out of where you want it. It’s good, but don’t think it’s worth the price tag. . tarte - Double Duty Beauty Busy Gal Brows Tinted Brow Gel : A decent brow gel, but the wand is a little big so not very easy to handle. The hold is very light and I prefer something stronger so that I know my brows won’t budge. . Too Faced - Natural Lust Naturally Sexy Eyeshadow Palette : A neutral lovers dream, it has a great variety of neutral shades! It does crease throughout the day, but I like the pigmentation of this palette! . NYX - Glitter Primer : Great at making your shimmers pop and last longer! . COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Amplify Eyelash Primer and MAYBELLINE - Lash Sensational Mascara Full Fan Effect : A great lash duo that stays put (have a little smudging on bottom lashes) and makes my lashes look long, dark, and voluminous! . FENTY BEAUTY - Sun Stalk'r Instant Warmth Bronzer : If I’m feeling extra, I’ll bronze my forehead since it’s the only part you can see. This is a nice one! . Steps: 1) Apply concealer onto blemishes and eyes for primer. 2) Do brows. 3) Put a light brown shade in the crease. 4) Add a darker brown into the crease and blend. 5) Apply the glitter primer and a light shimmer on top. 6) Powder and bronze your forehead. 7) Add mascara and highlight your brow bone and inner highlight. . #CheriePartner

💕 Fun, Summer Pink Eye Look 💕
💕 Fun, Summer Pink Eye Look 💕
This quarantine hashed me want to try new looks and push myself out of my comfort zone. I typically just wear natural eye looks, but have lately felt like playing with color! This pink look has been so fun and have worn it out a few times when I had to go to the grocery store or other errands. It’s not too bold that I feel self conscious, but it’s definitely different than what I’m used to. I decided not to do liner because the look by itself was bold enough for me, but it can definitely be worn with liner! #CheriePartner . Products used: Violet Voss - Coral Crush Eyeshadow and Pressed Pigment Palette - I love this pinky palette! The mattes aren’t extremely pigmented, but I like that because then it’s not easy to go overboard. You can just keep building and intensifying until you get the look you want. The real standout for me are the shimmers!! They’re so buttery, soft, and smooth. They’re incredibly pigmented and don’t crease too badly. I knocked a star off because the price is a little steep and the mattes could be a little more pigmented, a slight creasing problem if you don’t use eyeshadow primer. But overall, one of my fav palettes and want to try their other palettes bows! . NYX - Glitter Primer - This does such a great job at intensifying and brightening shimmers! Can’t live without this! . Mascara of your choice - I used COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Amplify Eyelash Primer and benefit - Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara ! The primer makes my lashes look thicker, longer, and more voluminous. It’s white, but is easily covered up with regular mascara. The Benefit mascara is amazing, makes my lashes so dark and long. It also lasts all day and doesn’t flake, even on my bottom lashes. . Eyeshadow primer prolongs the wear of your eyeshadow, but I don’t have anywhere to go so not worried about how long it’ll last. . Steps: 1) Blend Coral Crush into the crease. 2) Dip brush into both Lounging and Peony to mix them together and place on outer 3) Place glitter primer on inner half of the eyelid. Use ring finger to put Passion where you put the glitter primer. 4) Add mascara and brows. 5) I also put the highlighter I use on my face to highlight the arch of my eyebrow and inner corner. . #CheriePartner

holographic glitter tutorial ✨🌌
holographic glitter tutorial ✨🌌
hello everyone! here is a holographic glitter tutorial featuring the nyx glitter brilliants! this look is so enchanting and iridescent ✨✨ let me know what you think and dont forget to follow and share! for the brown eyeshadow, i used MORPHE - 35O3 Fierce By Nature Artistry Palette whats cool about this rainbow and silver glitter is that you can actually use any color with it, but i think it pops out the most with neutral tones! another color may be too distracting ✨ for the glitter glue, i used NYX - Glitter Primer this primer is really great for loose, pressed, and glitter gels, as it helps hold the product to the eye amd prevent fallout! a little goes a long way❤️ for the actual glitter, i used NYX - NYX Metallic Glitter in the shade “star”. this glitter is magical! and paired with the primer it has very little fallout! it is literally rainbow in real life! the mascara is L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara as always. i used to rate it four stars, but its taken a place in my heart, as ive neber found another mascara i like quite as much❤️

Glitter Primer - Worth it?
Glitter Primer - Worth it?
I decided to see if the glitter glue/primer that is supposed to minimize glitter fallout and can be used with glitter or foil and leaves it looking bright and pigmented. I decided to do a half-face test to check if it actually does what it claims. . You can’t tell off the photos, but the glitter primer on my left eye made the glitter stick better and blend more seamlessly with the mattes I used. I first tapped a small amount (the amount in the picture was actually enough for both eyes) and then took the silver out of the Huda Smokey palette (used this for my entire look) and tapped it onto the glitter glue. There was literally no fallout. I was really impressed because glitter usually falls everywhere on the lower lash line and I have to use a brush and dust it away when I’m done, but not when I used this. The glitter primer also made the glitter transition better into the mattes. . This NYX - Glitter Primer is only $6.50 (currently on sale for $4.55 at Ulta) for 0.33 oz. I think it’s a nice extra step to really minimize the fallout experience typical with glitter and to help make them pop. I don’t think it’s necessary, but it gives the extra little pop to make them look nice.
