My Acne Cleansers
I have acne prone combination skin (more towards the oily side) My dermatologist recommended PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength to me over a year ago and I have been using it every night since. The only nights I don’t use it is the night I do my chemical peel or if I use a clay mask. This cleanser makes my face feel so clean, keeps my pores small and keeps my acne at bay. It does make me a little dry but I balance it out with my morning cleanser and good moisturizers. I don’t have very sensitive skin but 10% benzoyl peroxide can be very harsh for some people. I definitely recommend starting with the more gentle 4% panoxyl first to see how your skin handles it. My morning cleanser is the Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser . This cleanser does exactly what the name states- it’s hydrating without stripping or clogging pores. I love that it doesn’t foam and has no scent. It really makes up for the moisture that I lose with the panoxyl. My skin has stayed clean, shiny and clear ever since I incorporated these two products into my routine ❤️

Gentle Face Cleansers to Soothe Combination Skin
Selecting the right cleanser for your skin is key for a clear, glowing complexion. I have combination skin – an oily T-zone with the occasional bumps and cheeks that tend to feel dry and tight. I am careful about using the right face wash as I know the right one will thoroughly remove dirt and excess oil while still not maintaining my skin’s natural pH balance and natural oils. CLINIQUE - Liquid Facial Soap Extra Mild Clinique liquid facial soap is a considered a cult product. It cleanses any make-up residue on my face without stripping my face dry. On days that I skip make-up products, just the facial soap does it for me. The pump dispenses also helps me obtain just the right amount to clean. To use: lather facial soap between palms and massage over face and throat. Rinse clean and pat the skin dry. I use this twice a day as it does not cause my skin to feel too tight. Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser delivers its promise. The key is its extraordinarily mild creamy formula. The hydrating cleanser clarifies skin and leave it feeling moisturized in just one step. My skin never feels tight or too dry after using this, and it also keep breakouts on the forehead and chin at bay. I also usually follow-up with a toner on cotton pads for an even cleaner wash and gentle exfoliation afterwards. ST. Ives - Fresh Skin, Apricot Scrub Scrubs are also important for me, especially on days when I want a more thorough cleanse. St. Ives Fresh Skin Face Scrub in Apricot is considered a cult product, and I have been using this for years! Each dollop is a paraben-free scrub that deeply exfoliates and removes impurities to reveal my glow. Made with apricots, the scrub also smells delicious, especially in the mornings.

My Secret To Clean Skin!
Step 1: Drink a glass of warm water with lemon A rich source of vitamin C, lemon contains immense health benefits ranging from its antibacterial properties to its immune boosting abilities. Lemon juice acts as a digestive agent and helps in cleansing the liver for better digestive health. I add two slices of fresh lemon to a cup of warm water in the morning for a detoxifying boost, and I continue to sip this mug throughout my morning. Step 2: Wash face with a gentle cleanser and cold water A clean face is as important in the day as it is in the evening. I use a gentle face cleanser, depending on my skin concerns at the moment. For combination skin, I recommend the Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser that won’t strip your skin of its essential moisture. Unlike usual foaming cleansers, this cleanser formula is gel like and ensures that my skin is clean yet moisturized for the next step. Step 3: Tone and moisturize Toning the face after cleansing helps to minimize the appearance of pores, and also balances the skin's pH levels. This is an important step that I won’t ever miss. I like how my skin is purified and ready to absorb nutrients from any moisturizer that I apply on later. For moisturizers, my favorite is CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ that feels rich yet silky smooth on my skin. Step 4: Depuff face with face roller This is my secret for a firmer and tighter looking face contour. After using toner and applying moisturizer to my cleansed skin, I use my ReFa - Carat Ray on my face for about 5 minutes. Massaging with a face roller aids to boost blood circulation to the face and neck area which helps to improve skin tone and texture over time. Check out my detailed review of the face roller in another post. Step 5: Apply sunscreen I NEVER skip sunscreen in my morning beauty routine, even if I am staying indoors all day. I switch between two brands - Murad - City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 / PA++++ and NNeutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Suncreen, SPF 45, which is very reasonably priced and available in most drugstores. I carefully apply a thin layer of sunscreen all over my moisturized face, not forgetting areas that are easy to miss, such as my chin, neck and ears.

NEUTROGENA PRODUCT | Ultra Gentle Cleanser
Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser Another review! ✨ This is Neutrogena’s Hydrating Ultra Gentle Cleanser. It is marketed towards people with dry and sensitive skin and aims to hydrate and cleanse without stripping the skin of natural oils. This is a creamy yet very lightweight cleanser in a cream-gel texture. It does not foam up! I’ll admit I haven’t been the biggest fan of Neutrogena products in the past, but I decided to try this out because I over-sensitized my skin (long story lol) and needed something very gentle. This did the trick! I used it for a few weeks before my skin returned back to normal and it did nourish my skin. Now, I use this once in a while when I want to clranse my face but don’t want something stripping or too harsh. I love that this doesn’t foam! It feels very hydrating on the skin and has no fragrance which I appreciate. This did not break me out either which is a plus. I would only not use this after a full day of wearing makeup because for me, it doesn’t get that job done as well as some of my other cleansers. Overall, I had a very pleasant experience with this product and will continue to keep this in my stash if I need something very gentle. I definitely recommend this to people with dehydrated/sensitive skin or people who are trying to repair their moisture barrier! It is only $8.49 at target which is an amazing price! Definitely check this one out if you’re in the market for a non-foaming cleanser. ✨

Contact dermatitis BE GONE!!
This started a couple of weeks ago when I accidentally used too much of The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Solution and rubbed it down into my neck. I have no doubt that this product works for some people. My skin, however, is much too sensitive and irritable. (I’m allergic to everything so take my thoughts on products like this with a grain of salt.) The healing process has been difficult. I do my best not to touch my neck during the day but I have a tendency to scratch in my sleep. I have had many days where my skin improves throughout the day, I’ll go to sleep, and then wake up itchy and 10x more irritated and inflamed than I was the previous day. I think I have finally the right combo of products to get this irritation knocked out and I’m not going to lie, good ol’ Benadryl before bed has helped more than any topical product. Regarding topical products for conditions like this, I will say that while I normally have no trouble with HONEST - Hydrogel Cream , the itchiest mornings seemed to be when I used this product before bed. Alternatively, I seem to have had much better tolerance of COSRX - Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask during this flare up when applying before bed. Other products that I am using that seem to help soothe the itch and irritation: FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner Krave - Great Barrier Relief Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
