cream cleansers VS gel cleansers!
Okay so I think there’s definitely some debate between cream cleansers and gel cleansers and here’s my opinion: I believe that cream cleansers are a lot better than gel cleansers and are overall more beneficial for your skin! Additionally, if you have dry or sensitive skin cream cleansers are definitely up your ally! Personally I find that gel cleansers can dry out your face and can take away some of the essential oils that your face needs, whereas cream cleansers not only cleanse your face, but nourish and replenish your skin, giving it back the moisture and hydration it needs. Overall, cream cleansers have more benefits in comparison to gel cleansers however everyone’s skin reacts differently to certain formulas and products so obviously finding what works for you is very important! But if you are new to skin care and are a little confused on what’s good for your skin I do believe that cream cleansers are a safer option. HELP: STARTING A NEW ROUTINE?! 🤪
Hey all!! I’m newer to the skin scare space and looking for AM/PM routine suggestions. My skin is normal/combo and recently I’ve been having frequent dehydration which may be due to extra exercise in my daily routine. I’m looking for products to keep my skin CLEAN, HYDRATED, PROTECTED, PLUMP and GLOWY. I do have acne scars on my forehead, sides of my face, and chin. My most acne prone area is around my chin and it has been like this for the past few months- breakouts in that area every other day. I’ve been looking into the following products to help my skin: Cleanser: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser Possible along with the CeraVe - Renewing SA Cleanser For Normal Skinfor my acne problem area hydration: PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster Or The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics Or DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum For hydration Evening skin tone: PAULA'S CHOICE - 10% Niacinamide Boosterfor evening skin tone For additional serums/essences to make the skin appear more glowy/youthful I was thinking of trying: Krave - Great Barrier Relief Or TATCHA - Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Serum Exfoliation: PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Moisturizer: Open to suggestions. I finally minimized my PORES and CHERIE AGREES ❤
So I’ve never really had issues with my pores until recently. I started to noticed the pores on my cheeks were larger than usual. I’m subscribed to BeautyFix box by Dermstore & Allure Beauty Box, so I’m always trying out products. During this time I started double cleansing at night, using ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm and was also using another product from my beauty box dr. brandt - Clean Biotic cleanser. I couldn’t really figure out was wrong, and it took me at least two weeks to figure out, that ever since I was a teen I’ve always used a Salicylic Acid cleanser. And now I was not. In the world of exfoliants, you've got more than a few options to choose from based on what your skin needs. Salicylic acid, an ingredient extracted from willow tree bark, is one type of chemical exfoliant called beta-hydroxy acid (aka BHA). Unlike the chemical exfoliants called alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), which are water-soluble and ideal for surface exfoliation, salicylic oil is oil-soluble, which makes it capable of cutting through oil and exfoliating deep within your pores to remove blockages. A lot of acne based cleanser have 2.0% of Salicylic Acid, which is a little strong for my sensitive skin. However, for years since I was a teen I always used Neutrogena - Deep Clean Cream Cleanser Its not promoted to be an acne based cleanser but it does has a minimal amount of salicylic acid maybe about 0.5% and have always done a great job at keeping my pores clean, and I’ve used it as a daily cleanser for years. Once I stopped using the ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm which I discovered has Coconut oil in it, and went back to use my salicylic cleanser at least once a day, and exfoliating with my HG exfoliant Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser I also wanted to add a lactic acid product. So I also added BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum into my night routine, every other night and used my Murad - Retinol Youth Renewal Serum every other night. I felt my pores were getting definitely getting better. However, once I added this serum to my routine PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum which I received from my Allure beauty box. I’ve heard all the hype, and always wanted to add a good niacinamide product into my routine. I decided to use it every other day in my AM routine, and use my SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum on the other days. After about two weeks, I was amazed with my skin. This revolutionary cocktail of peach extract, niacinamide, East Asian mountain yam, madecassoside, peptides, and hyaluronic acid help to hydrate, calm, brighten and firm skin and reduce pores. And it wasn’t just my pores that looked better, my skin was more luminous, more even toned, hydrated and just looked better all around.

HOLY GRAIL FOR CLEAR, SOFT & GLOWY SKIN
DISCLAIMER - All skins types are different, this is just what works for me and it has worked really well. Neutrogena - Deep Clean Cream Cleanser Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash NIVEA - NIVEA Crème THESE PRODUCTS HAVE SAVED MY SKIN 👏🏽🙌🏽 For the longest time I struggled trying to find products that actually work on my skin ( combination- oily ). I try and wash my face twice a day using the 2 face cleansers and then moisturising with the Nivea creme. It makes my skin feel fresh and keeps it hydrated. When I do dry my face, it does feel a little but dryer but that is why I apply the Nivea onto my face as soon as I’ve Dryed it. These products have worked wonders on my skin and I hope they work for you too 😚🤟🏽
