Are AHA toner pads worth the money?
As much as I enjoy AHAs I really could enjoy some ease of it's use with prepackaged toner pads soaked in AHA toners. While this sounds pretty useful and time saving, the specific products from some brands can be all different when it comes to the ingredients. These peel pads/ toner pads have nothing different or unique when it comes to formulations but the Ingredients or what the product/pads are soaked in is what counts. I am neutral about pre soaked toner pads but I know a lot of people love them. I tried these two from @elemis and @firstaidbeauty They're noy similar in performance and how they work as well as ingredients. I'll put my detailed review on both of them. 1. elemis Dynamic resurfacing facial pads ELEMIS - Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads - Elemis is in my opinion an expensive brand. These facial pads are 59$ for 60 pads (approximately 2 months supply). I believe that's a large price when it comes to resurfacing or texture treatments/toners. 🏵️INGREDIENTS: ✨Patented Tri-Enzyme Technology ELEMIS - helps to effectively breakup the layer of dead cells that accumulates on the skins surface without compromising its delicate moisture barrier. ✨Lactic Acid - This naturally occurring (AHA) gently exfoliates ✨Probiotic Ferment Complex - Helps support the skin renewal process by helping to promote the physical shedding of dead skin cells. With good highlighted ingredients, this has added fragrance which is quite strong and I didn't enjoy it. 🏵️MY EXPERIENCE : It definitely exfoliates skin but in a much gentler way. It has Lactic acid a larger molecular size in AHAs which won't penetrate on deeper level of skin and is less irritating. It does a decent job of exfoliating hence the reduction in texture and hyperpigmentation. Although, the added fragrance put me off. I enjoy many of elemis products but this one surprisingly wasn't the best. 2. @firstaidbeauty Facial radiance padsFIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads - This one in comparison to the elemis one was better in packaging. It has pads soaked up pretty well and I found them juicier than elemis pads. These radiance pads don't have added fragrance which is a win. 🏵️ INGREDIENTS: ✨Glycolic and Lactic Acids ✨Lemon Peel: A natural extract that helps brighten skin's appearance. ✨Indian Gooseberry: A natural extract that helps tone skin. 🏵️MY EXPERIENCE : This has both Glycolic and lactic acid but the percentages are not given on both of the products' packaging. I found these to be a little too harsh for me. I tend to tolerate 7 - 10% Glycolic acid as well as instant peeling solutions, but this product irritated my skin. I found these to be working great for exfoliation but it sadly broke me out. I found them to be working better when I used them twice a week. Overall, I am not a huge fan of peeling/radiance pads. I really liked Dr.Dennis Gross Alpha Beta peel pads but these two were not as impressive in performance and experience.
ELEMIS-Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads
Today’s post consists of a double review and product match-making. ❤️ I will try my best to keep this short and simple, that being said let’s start with the first product, aka Simply Brilliant Serum. The serum was designed to fight against the signs of discolouration with 10 brightening ingredients, while preventing future sunlight-induced pigmentation. Main stars are: Witch Hazel, Niacinamide, Ascorbic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Lactic Acid, etc), few antioxidants, eos and humectants. I started using this beginning of Dec last year to date, 1-2 pumps (am/pm or both), probably missed 4 days max since Dec and I nearly finished the bottle. The texture is thin, spreads & absorbs nicely, has a brownish colour and odour I don’t fancy (plant, borderline medicinal). It does tingle a bit, but no irritation. After using it for an entire month (1st month I did not missed a day), I decided to introduce the elemis Resurfacing pads, as the Brilliant Serum is very mild and was quite slow at reducing my awful pigmentation left by the cysts induced by Epiduo (typical purge). In combination with the Resurfacing Pads (one product in am, the other in the pm) I saw much better results.💪🏻 Both products are mild, therefore worked wonderfully together. In addition, the Resurfacing Pads contain a Patented Tri Enzyme Technology (papain, from papaya fruit, protease & micro-encapsulated subtilisin - all great resurfacers), Lactic Acid & Pro-Biotic Complex. I begun to see really good results when using both products in the same day, different routines. I didn’t experience any dryness or irritation, PIH started fading at a much faster pace, leaving my skin very smooth in the process.

Treatments from My skin cabinet
Here I’m showcasing some of my time and money worthy Treatments! I believe these are the tried and true ones for me with few daily staples! For ease of understanding and review I’m going to use the ‘Tags’ like ‘Daily staples’ and I’ll give stars ⭐️. I really think if you’re Hormonal Acne girl like me, this could be a helpful snap of my skin cabinet ❤️ So, with first tag - 🤩1. ‘Daily Staples’ - SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Vitamin C Rich Hydration Cream This is rich and thick in consistency so if you’re oily try using it in Winters. I use it in morning routine. I think it’s effective and will give you more brightened skin. LeeGeeHaam Vita Propolis Ampoule This is new skincare find for me, AMAZING! In love this baby😍 Totally worth it! It gives glowing, brighter and tighter skin in consistent use! ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm This balm is Amazing! Works the best in removing every bit of makeup. The best part is it emulsified and washes well. Worth the hype! The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The best HA that worked for me. It didn’t irritate my Sensitive skin. It’s sticky so is the best under makeup. Love it 😍 🤩2. ‘Not so favorite Treatments’ - SUNDAY RILEY - Martian Mattifying Melting Water-Gel Toner Didn’t give any visible results. The smell is a bit too off for me. Positive is it’s hydrating. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Face Mask This held high hopes from me but unfortunately I didn’t find it Stunning. I believe there are other Retinols that work the best. This one is too occlusive for me, also it is a bit sticky and heavy unlike the Watermelon sleeping mask. The results weren’t amazing. Hence three stars from me. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads This is okay in my opinion. Nothing too great, also not bad. I didn’t see any results similar to The ordinary glycolic acid toner. So, I’m not very impressed with it but I believe for someone who has very sensitive skin, this could be a decent treatment. 🤩3. ‘Favorite Treatments’ - SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Lactic Acid Treatment This is AMAZING AMAZING! you will see the results in just one use. Gives glowing, brighter skin next morning. It helps with raised bumps and texture. Love it! TULA SKINCARE - Pro-Glycolic 10% Resurfacing Toner It works just as amazing as Good genes. Worth the money. It’s more like toner so it’s easy to use and also less irritating. THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum one of my favorite Retinols. Works great, formula is amazing. Not too thin but absorbs quickly. I feel the only downside is the size, it’s just very little for what we get from other brands. ELEMIS - Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads Works very well. Gives results in one use. Easy to use because of individual pads. Doesn’t feel heavy. Kate Somerville - Kx Active Concentrates Bio-Mimicking Peptides Serum

Update on my skin!!
Hey guys, firstly i want to thank you guys for cheered me a lot and commented your opinions on my last post. I kind of change my routine. I stopped using the ordinary peeling solution since i think Aztec indian healing clay works better on my skin and I didn’t want to over exfoliate my skin. I also added rosehip oil to my night routine and i swear to god my face have been smooth like a butter. Well it’s been smoother than before. And i have been using sunscreens and these are the two have (the one from the body shop and the one from the Bioré) both works good i prefer the one from body shop since i felt like the Bioré has a bit of alcohol cuz i smell some while i applied it. Hopes my tips work on your skin too! Please comment if u have any ideas or tips 💗

Empty: Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Pads
I purchased this because I’m a sucker for Katie Jane Hughes, and she mentions this product a lot. First, this product is pretty heavily fragranced. I don’t mind the scent, but if you’re sensitive to scents, beware. I liked that this was gentle enough for everyday use and left my skin feeling smooth and fresh. It says to use it twice per day, but I only used it in the morning. It’s great for prepping your skin for smooth makeup application. However, at $59 for 60 pads, I don’t think this is anything special or worth the price. First Aid Beauty’s peel pads do the same thing at half the price, and with the abundance of options out there, I’m sure there’s another option that’s just as good for even less than the FAB ones.
