Highly recommend the Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced and the PUR festival pallete. The mascara really enhances and brings volume to the lashes and makes it look like you are wearing false eyelashes. The PUR pallete is amazing because you can create many different eye looks for pretty much every occasion. Got asked multiple times what I was wearing on my eyes when I did this look. Drugstore Foundation 👏🏻
Finding a drugstore foundation that works for you is exiting! This foundation has awesome added benefits (anti-pollution) and it is super creamy and easy to work with. It is pretty lightweight and gibes a medium coverage but I do think that it can be built up if needed. They have a good shade range (50) so anyone can find their perfect match. I heard this foundation was good and I’m glad I picked it up because I like it a lot. Have not testing it’s staying power throughout the day however (I don’t wear foundation often). I would recommend this product and it is only $10.99’ Quoted via revlon site: “This skin-enhancing, natural-looking foundation delivers a flawless finish—all day long—as it hydrates You get medium coverage that feels weightless and looks like your best skin! Feels good with: anti-pollution, antioxidant, and anti-blue-light ingredients to protect your skin” REVLON - Photoready Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation

Glowy Foundation in Less Than 5 Minutes!
When shopping for foundations, I always look for formulas that enhance the skin and also deliver a little extra hydration and glow. My shade usually falls in the light range and I typically have neutral undertones. My main skincare concerns have always been acne and excess oil, but lately *god willing* my skin hasn’t been breaking out as much and now has more redness than before. In the past, all of my foundations have been medium-to-full coverage in order to sufficiently conceal breakouts and acne scars, but now I’m realizing that I can get away with lightweight formulas. One foundation that I would have never been able to wear during my peak breakout phase that I’m loving now is Revlon’s PhotoReady Candid Natural Finish Foundation. This drugstore foundation reminds me of a tinted moisturizer because of how lightweight and moisturizing it is and is designed to enhance the skin while also providing pollution and blue light protection. It’s also oil-free and fragrance-free, making it great for acne prone skin and sensitive skin types. I really like this formula because it is super buildable and does a great job at camouflaging my redness while also boosting radiance. Since I’m prone to oiliness, I always add a sweep of setting powder to absorb any shine and help keep it in place (it doesn’t really hang all day on its own). To make sure that it doesn’t look caked on, I like to only apply it with a fluffy foundation brush where I need the coverage and then blend it out from there to make it look seamless. I’ve found that this method of spot coverage gives my skin an airbrushed-like finish and really takes my glam to the next level. If I need more coverage, I’ll go in with some concealer. Steps featured in the video: -Prime the high points with a glowy moisturizer/primer like ELEMIS - Superfood Glow Priming Moisturiser -Apply a foundation like REVLON - Photoready Candid Natural Finish Anti-Pollution Foundation to the center of the face (or only where you need coverage) and blend it outwards. -Finish with a sweep of illuminating setting powder like Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder #cheriecreator

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
