Six month update
I feel like I'm still figuring out what works for me, even though it's been six months since my last update. Products that work for 12 hour days in front of a computer at home don't necessarily work for 12 hour days on-site in a mask. Current routine: AM Products 1. DESERT ESSENCE - Gentle Nourishing Organic Cleanser 2. bliss - Bright Idea Serum Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Serum 3. Follain - Follain Eye Cream: Firm + Brighten 4. bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer 5. I'll be honest, I barely leave my house so I've been lazy about the sunscreen 😬 PM Products 1. DESERT ESSENCE - Gentle Nourishing Organic Cleanser 2. pixi - Glow Tonic 3. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 4. LANCÔME - Visionnaire Eye Cream Advanced Multi-Correcting Eye Balm 5. Spot treat with dermalogica - Age Bright Spot Faderas needed or bliss - Bright Idea Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting & Brightening Moisturizer The vitamin C products have really helped with my acne and dark spots! I also treated myself to patchology - FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels yesterday and cold eye masks are so soothing. Definitely recommend putting your eye masks in the fridge. Has anyone tried innisfree? I've been eyeing their products...
dermalogica-Age Bright Spot Fader
My morning ritual with patchology was much needed today. I stayed up entirely too late last night during an impromptu (but much needed) visit from my bff. ❤️ - The Flashpatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels are my morning antidote to any sleepless night. They feel so refreshing and cool, especially when I wake up with tired, puffy eyes. These babies soothe the under-eye area so beautifully in just five minutes. I’m on my second box and am completely hooked. I’ve been patiently waiting for their day/night duo to restock, as I’m looking forward to trying the nighttime version as well. - I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the Aquaflash Daily Gel Moisturizer. With my dry skin, I usually prefer rich, creamy moisturizers, but this water-based, gel hydrator is lovely. It’s super lightweight and absorbs in seconds. It’s not the most hydrating moisturizer in my collection, but I’ve been enjoying how soothing it feels when I’m suffering from any irritation or redness. It reminds me of the feeling of applying aloe to a sunburn. I wish I had discovered this product during the summer.

Rosacea: My Favorite Face Masks
Over the years I’ve been on the hunt for the best face masks for rosacea. This is what I’ve discovered works for and soothes my sensitive skin, and now I keep these products on hand year round. Farmhouse Fresh - Pajama Paste Soothing Active Yogurt Mask (Honey & Oat) My favorite! I use this once every 1-2 weeks, depending on my needs. Active masks give the skin a tingling sensation which I really enjoy. This mask does exactly what it says it does - it tightens and softens the skin, and soothes redness. My only note of caution would be to not leave it on too long. Otherwise, skin will start to dry out. The pot is well priced ($25) and lasts forever. papa recípe - Eggplant Clearing Mud Cream Mask A newer find which I’ve quickly fallen in love with. This month, I’ve used it every 2-3 days. The purple color is super fun and the texture is very creamy with only SLIGHT exfoliation once you wash it off. This can be controlled based on how you remove the mask. I try to avoid physical exfoliation because it can irritate my rosacea. I love this mask because it helps keep my skin clear and is also super hydrating. I have trouble remembering it’s a mud mask simply because it leaves my skin feeling so silky and hydrated. Kiehl's - Avocado Nourishing Hydration Mask If my skin is feeling super dry, I’ll always grab this one. I don’t even have much to say about this mask, other than it’s very gentle and extremely hydrating. Applying the mask can be a bit difficult because of the texture, which balls up easily, but it’s definitely worth it and not too much of a hassle. HOWEVER, I was buying this mask when it was still in the $20 range and I’ve noticed that it’s now $45. This means I’m going to have to find a new hydrating mask. If you want to try this with the new price, wait for a sale. Benton - Goodbye Redness Centella Mask Pack This is the only sheet mask I’ll ever spend money on! The ingredients are hydrating and target rosacea specifically. It’s alcohol free, which is generally difficult to find in sheet masks. Noticeably soothes redness and hydrates the skin. I also decided to include my favorite eye mask. This one is a splurge, but a necessity sometimes for early morning zoom meetings: patchology - FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels I’ve never found eye creams to work for me, so I use money I would put towards creams on eye gels. This one’s effect is SUPER noticeable—puffy eyes quickly decompress and the area under the eyes does look rejuvenated as advertised. I find that some eye gels don’t provide enough moisture and make my eyes feel a bit uncomfortable while wearing them. This one provides enough moisture, so I also find them comfortable while they’re on. Would definitely recommend for those emergency situations when you need a quick fix in the morning.

All of them were useless and almost ruined my skin...😥😥😥
I have tried several face masks and found the worst! These three masks didn't work and one of them almost ruined my skin😭Hope my review can help you guys! Givenchy Face Mask I first bought it for its stunning packaging, but I really regret buying it since I started using it. As I have sensitive skin, its accompanying brush really irritates my skin, so I replaced it with La Mer's brush. I've used it by following the instructions, but I didn't see any difference. I thought it might be because it was my first time using it that the results were not apparent yet. But it still did nothing for me after I applied it on thick once and thin once, so I will not repurchase it. Erno Laszlo Seaweed Lift & Firming Mask I love their Hydra-Therapy Skin Vitality Mask, so I bought this seaweed mask too. But I never expected this seaweed mask to be as troublesome to use as the firming mask yet offer less than one tenth of the effect. In short, it didn't do much for me and actually caused a rash. Thankfully it's not some serious allergy. patchology - FlashPatch Restoring Night Eye Gels patchology - FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels Although we can't expect eye gels to really improve any problems of the skin around the eyes, I still wish they'd offer some instant effect when they're is peeled off. I was disappointed. These two eye masks have a texture similar to the affordable Korean eye mask I bought before. In short, I'm just disappointed. Let me know if you had a similar experience with them. Do you love or hate them?

Rejuvenating Eye Gels
The Patchology Rejuvenating Eye Gels are nearly a perfect product. I keep them in the fridge for morning use. They are huge and therefore cover a satisfying amount of face surface area. They feel soothing and they’re just such a pampering experience. However, I will say that they leave a film and makeup will pill if you don’t wash off the gel. I find this with a lot of sheet masks too. It may be my foundation but oh well. I just wash it off. patchology - FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels

My favorite eye patches!🌸
These are an anytime perk-me-up! Made to target puffiness, fatigue, and dryness. Fixes tired eyes in an instant, featuring caffeine and hydrolyzed collagen to let you look like you got your full 8 hours of sleep every day!! This refreshes your eyes in an instant and is more effective than topical creams or serums! Theses hydrogels stay put, so you get these ingredients where you need them most!! On the eyes they feel cooling, smoothing, and refreshing. They have a very neat look to them, it is a thin lightweight patch that fits around the eyes perfectly and also has little sparkles in them to make them glow! There is incredible results that many people (including me) have seen such as, tired eyes appearing more awake and revived, smoother skin underneath the eyes, and less puffy under eyes!! This is $3.00 for one pack (which comes with one pair) and you can also purchase a 30 pack (which comes with 30 pairs) for $50.00! To me these are pricey but also worth it because they are the best and work so well!! I recommend to anyone looking for good eye patches with good results!👀patchology - FlashPatch Rejuvenating Eye Gels

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
