Anyone get itty bitty whiteheads every time?
So, full disclosure... I suck at makeup. I really do. I’m a skincare fanatic... I love my serums, potions, masks and creams. I like to pride myself on my research and skin loving knowledge. But as a girl raised solely by her father - and a natural ginger at that, which always made finding the right colors hard for me - I have been makeup challenged allllllll my life. I rely on my makeup loving friends to tell me what to buy for the rare occasions when I do use it. tarte - Face Tape Foundation came highly recommended by literally every makeup addict I know. I didn’t question it, just walked into Ulta, plunked down the $40, got me a foundation brush and came home to watch YouTube videos on how to apply it. I like the color... which is always tough for me. And I have always done pretty okay at blending it (do a step, pause, check the YouTube video, continue). The coverage is nice, if a little much for anything I’m used to. My skin never feels dried out (at 41 years old, that’s huge). Lasts a very long time. All good things. I did notice that by days end, it settles into my pores and lines which I don’t love. But otherwise, no major complaints. Then, I noticed a weird thing. Every single time I use it, I get 2-3 little tiny baby whiteheads in my t-zone. Nothing major or that even requires medication. Think, like a blackhead but slightly red and totally a white head. Very superficial and just a slight fingernail scratch can pop it. There aren’t many, but it’s literally every single time I use it. Being a skincare freak, I checked up on it before buying and it’s definitely non-comedegenic. I don’t often break out or get any acne other than a few blackheads. And my skincare is designed to all but acne-proof me. The first couple of times it happened, I just thought it was hormonal or I was near my cycle. But every time? Just curious if anyone else has had a similar experience and might know why... or if I’m doing something wrong (highly likely). P.S. If anyone might be interested in volunteering to be my Fairy Makeup Godmother, please let me know. I assure you, I’m a pitifully lost cause. All applications accepted!

Flawless Favorite Foundation
A really nice very natural looking foundation when applied onto the skin. A vegan & oil-free full coverage foundation with a weightless formula & modern matte finish to help absorb oil & shine while smoothing over imperfections. I have tried different foundations over the years but I only have a couple favorites and this is one of them. I love how natural it makes my face look. It’s the perfect thing to add onto my skin even I’m when I’m keeping it natural. I got this foundation when I was OBESSED with Tarte products. This is a new bottle because I ran out of the I had before so I just repurchased it again. This foundation is $39 and I got it from Sephora. The foundation has not made me break out nor once leaves my skins looking clean and very smooth. I enjoy using this product so much. I give this 5 Cherie stars and would recommend it to everyone. It’s comes in many different shades so you won’t have o worry about not finding the right shade. 100% guaranteed that you will love it. Swipe to see a picture of me wearing it and how it looks on me!

Tarte Face Tape Foundation
I love love love how tarte - Face Tape Foundation feels so breathable on my face! It's a full coverage makeup made by Tarte that doesn't feel cakey, heavy, nor oily. It gives you that flawless, all Natural matte finish. Perfect for people who like to wear minimal makeup and just want to cover up some imperfections. As always, Tarte makes their products cruelty-free, paraben-free, vegan-friendly for the ones who are health conscious. I highly recommend this foundation for people who also have sensitive/acne prone skin. This foundation pairs well with tarte - Shape Tape Concealer for covering up under the eyes and unwanted blemishes. Give this a try, you won't be disappointed! 😉

Medium coverage make up!
BECCA - Pop Goes the Glow Champagne Pop Face & Eye Palette with the foundation it’s paired with, it works so well! I’ve found this palette works nicely on days where I don’t use foundation too. tarte - Face Tape Foundation it’s great in that it truly offers what is advertised- buildable medium coverage, but the color I bought doesn’t truly match my skin tone and overall color. I find I have a short amount of time during the year where it matches perfectly. An unexpected plus though- between summer and fall, I find if I apply it right, it can multi-task as an under eye concealer before my tan fades through fall and winter. tarte - Limited Edition Buff & Bronze Body Kabuki Brush I do use this baby on my outer cheeks to blend bronzer up into my hair and around my ears. It works really well with most foundations honestly! I’ve been finding that with one of my foundations it can have a small stamp effect- but 90% of the time it’s epic. This was used with my tarte - Park Ave Princess Waterproof Face & Body Bronzer which I’ve spoken to in the past! Check out my other make up posts that include this babe ☺️🤘🏼 bareMinerals - Multi-Tasking Concealer SPF 20 on days where I accidentally use too much spf/ moisturizer and I need to touch up my t-zone on hot days, keeping this in my purse has been fantastic to re-apply. FENTY BEAUTY - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter used this in the Ginger Binge/ Moscow Mule and the darker color worked beautifully as a blush. I also applied on my eyes over a darker matte light brown eyeshadow from my tarte - Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette and bam! My hazel eyes were electric-looking and truly popped. Unfortunately, the long-term ability wasn’t as long as I was hoping- there was a bit of creasing along my eyelid, but that’s to be expected when you don’t apply any eye primer! Let me know your thoughts below! Super open to finding the best eye primer for my big eye make up days/ nights ❤️

Help! I don’t know my skin’s undertone!
Hi! I cannot, for the life of me, determine the undertone of my skin. I have gone my whole life thinking I was a cool/pink undertone, but recently went to both Sephora and Mecca to get colour matched (I was not wearing any self-tan, make up or creams) and they both matched me with neutral and yellow undertones! I have attached my current foundation (nars sheer glow) with the three foundations they recommended. I have posted pictures of swatches of the foundations they chose, as well as 2 pictures of my face (without makeup) and a couple of my wrist, so that you can see the colour of my veins (apparently that helps lol). Please, if you think you know what undertone I am, help me out! Thanks 💓
