How to Tame Frizzy Hair? Try These Products!
How to Tame Frizzy Hair? Try These Products!
Did you know our hair is more prone to breakage through the winter months? The season is upon us where there is a perfect combination of hats and cold weather contributing to dry and brittle hair which shows up in the form of breakage, frizz, and flyaways.   The last thing we want to do at this time is apply hot tools, creating further damage. In lieu of styling my hair with heat, you will catch my hair in a bun 99% of the time. But, the bun in addition to bleaching causes a good amount of breakage and frizz on its own. The solution I’ve found to this dilemma is to play with different heatless wave techniques to tame my frizzy, wavy hair to enjoy wearing it down while avoiding damage at the same time.   The few products and simple method I use has been tested out by a couple friends of mine with different hair textures and, like snowflakes, each style came out equally as beautiful but unique to each hair type.     The night before, wash your hair with nourishing products making sure they don’t weigh your strands down, though. Pacifica Salty Waves is perfect for this.PACIfICA - Salty Waves Texturizing ShampooPACIfICA - Salty Waves Texturizing Conditioner Put your damp hair in a braid and sleep on a silk pillowcase to prevent breakage/frizz. In the morning, you’ll take the braid out and apply a dry shampoo to your roots for lift and to make the style last longer. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo is my favorite. Spray a salt spray into your full head of hair, then scrunch. Captain Blankenship Salt Sprays are unbeatable!captain blankenship - Rose Gold Sunset Sea Salt Shimmer Spraycaptain blankenship - Golden Waves Sea Salt Hair Spray Repeat this spray and scrunch process with hairspray. I use both; voir - Rainforest Mist (it smells delightful) and Captain Blankenshipcaptain blankenship - Mermaid Hair Oil  (for when I want more wave). Optional: Smooth through a good hair oil to further reduce frizz.

I have naturally wavy but not curly hair (2A-2C depending on humidity, product, and health) and there are almost NO shampoos for us wavy peeps! This shampoo and conditioner is so light and moisturizing and has brought some of my wave back to life that I’ve been losing due to chronic illness. It is also natural, cruelty free, vegan, and has no synthetic fragrances (huge eczema irritant for me). It also makes your hair smell like a tropical dream! Love it!
