Genetic under Eye bags? What’s best!
If you’re like me, I’ve had puffy under eye area my whole life. In fact, there’s a hideous second grade photo of me that I’m sure sparked my insecurities. I have tried many products some help reduce the appearance of my under eye bags and some do absolutely NADA! Here are my top favorite products to decrease the appearance of my genetic eye puffiness. 1. belif - Eye Bomb Gwp In all my time searching. This has been the best find for me personally. When I use this cream I can definitely see that my eye puffiness went down. 2. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff This is my second favorite. I only put this second because I later learned that when paired with the Belif Eye Bomb, it’s perfect. This eye cream definitely brightens so you do not need much at all and keeps your under eye area brightened and lifted all day. 3. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG My most recent discovery. This under eye solution does visibly depuff my under eye area. The consistency is not my favorite, I like thicker under eye creams. But I can say that it does make my eye area look more awakened. I read that this product takes awhile so...tbc I really hope this post helps someone like me with genetic under eye puffiness. Or atleast gives them some hope that there is a product or combination of products that helps them feel better about this unique issue.

Let’s talk under-eye circles
Dark under-eyes are something I’ve struggled with for years so I’m always on the hunt to find something to fix this. After receiving lot of recommendations, I was convinced to try the origins ginzing refreshing eye cream. This is meant to be a refreshing eye cream that visibly brightens the eye area by diminishing the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. The consistency is a creamy, almost opal looking cream, which I felt sunk into my skin nicely. The cream itself is very bright and almost looks like it has a gleam appearance to it. So to get down it, I’ve been using this product for the last 3 weeks and it has helped A LOT with my hereditary dark under-eye circles, and it truly makes them look brighter. However, since it was not hydrating enough for my under-eye area, I plan to return this cream. Since under my eyes are also SO dry this time of year, I really need something super hydrating and this just didn’t help in that area. I would still recommend this product to others looking to brighten up the eye area, because it definitely helps there, but I just wouldn’t say it’s the best option if you also struggle with extreme dryness. The price is $32 so I think it’s worth it if you are looking for something to just help with under-eye circles (as opposed to hydration and deep moisture.) Overall, my rating is a 3 for this product since hydration is really important to me. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff

I’m really just starting to love all Origins products. I haven’t found one that I haven’t liked yet. So I got this in one of my Sephora favorites sample bag. I’m really obsessed with eye creams in general, so I was super excited about this guy. It absorbs very quickly, it has a faint shimmer to it, which instantly brightens your eyes. It really is a solid eye cream. I gotta buy some now because my mom used it once and hijacked it from me 😑 Definitely worth a try if you are looking for a new eye cream 🤍 ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff What It Does: Formulated with Panax Ginseng & Caffeine from Coffee, this energizing eye cream instantly brightens & helps restore radiance Skin Type: Normal, Dry, Combination, and Oily Skincare Concerns: Dullness, Dark Circles, and Puffiness MAIN INGREDIENT Coffee: Found in Ethiopia, its energizing properties help wake up, refresh, and restore radiance to tired skin. I have very sensitive skin, too sun, makeup, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen., you name it! But here are some products that work for my skin. I’ve never had a horrible issue with my skin *knock on wood* but I did got through a few years of acne and flakiness on my skin. Off and on now I’ll get occasional breakouts but they will go away if I tend my skin correctly. Morning routine• Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion I wet my face and then apply this cream and wipe away access with a cotton pad. Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum This product I have good times with and some bad, but overall it doesn’t irritate my skin and I don’t apply it where I have small scarring because it seems to clog the area. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff This one is a bit pricey but definitely worth it! The only eye cream I’ve used that actually works with brightening. I have extremely dark circles and this helps with it. Now I know I’m going to get attacked for not using a sunscreen but I haven’t found one yet that works. I’ve tried sooo many, ones directed toward sensitive skin and all have broke me out or triggered eczema. If you have suggestions let me know! ••••••••••••••• Nighttime routine• Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water I use this with a cotton pad all around my face and then follow with the Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum this again and I’m finished! 🧡🧡☀️ Extra tlc for my skin! AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay this mixed apple cider vinegar became my best friend, I started this about two years ago and it has helped me so much. It can cause irritation but it doesn’t last very long, right after using I apply a generous amount of moisturizer. pixi - DetoxifEYE I will occasionally use these if I’m getting glammed up somewhere and they make such a difference!! •••••••••
First post - My Skincare Routine
Hello! This is my first post on Cherie. I’m a licensed esthetician and makeup artist who works at Sephora. I get to try so many products and I love to write reviews/educate people on different products, ingredients and build skincare routines for people! My favorite brands are Youth To The People, Drunk Elephant, Dr Jart+, Farmacy and CeraVe. So here’s my review of my skincare routine products and how they’ve helped me control my hormonal acne! (I am 23 years old with combination oily skin and I have dealt with acne for years). DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel Differin Gel is a fantastic over the counter retinoid available at many drugstores. It is highly effective at unclogging pores and turning over skin cells. This product causes a purge which will result in more acne at first but after about 8-12 weeks the purge will end and your acne will be reduced greatly. Differin gel helps reduce fine lines, large pores, uneven texture, hyperpigmentation and acne. I use it every other night (I use Drunk Elephant TLC serum on the nights I don’t use Differin), on clean, dry skin. I buy the 3 month supply and use a pea sized amount for application. I’ve tried Tretinoin from a dermatologist before but it was extremely irritating and I couldn’t stick to it. Differin gel is the best for sensitive, acne prone skin! FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Farmacy has fantastic clean beauty products. My favorite is their Green Clean cleansing balm. It’s a soft green sorbet with a light lime scent. It melts in your hands and applies like an oil to emulsify makeup, sun screen and pollution, and washes off like a cleansing milk, leaving skin soft and never stripped. Papaya enzyme and moringa extract detoxify the skin and echinacea calms the skin down and acts as an antioxidant. Green clean is the perfect way to remove waterproof makeup and can be used as the first step in a double cleanse. I will continue repurchasing for life because other cleansing oils just don’t make my skin feel the way this does (I have the DHC Deep Cleansing Oil and I like it but it isn’t detoxifying like Green Clean). Highly recommend! YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser This cleanser has been a very pleasant surprise for me! I saw many rave reviews and decided to give it a go. The Youth To The People Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser has a light spinach/kale scent and foams up gently. It cleanses thoroughly without stripping the skin. I use a half a pump, not a full pump since this cleanser is a bit pricy. The entire Youth To The People line is high quality, highly effective and worth it. The brand is extremely ethical, LGTBQ+ and Black Lives Matter advocates, and completely vegan/cruelty free. They also use glass packaging and strive to be as sustainable/eco friendly as possible! (I don’t have a lot of space for these reviews but I will definitely post more in the near future!)

You Can Always Find Your Eye Product Regardless Of Your Budget😋😋
I'm over 25 years old and the four eye creams below are the eye creams I use most often, some affordable, some luxurious. I have thin, quite sensitive skin with occasional puffy eyes, fine lines around my eyes, and dark circles under them. 1) la prairie - Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Cream (Luxury brand) After scooping it out and dabbing it around my eyes with my fingers, the cream and oil separated, and it was also extremely difficult to dab and spread, so I could only smear it on. The accompanying silver spatula also felt quite useless. In short, after using it for quite a while, it did nothing much for me. Neither my fine lines nor my dark circles were reduced, so it's definitely not worth the price. 2) LA MER - The Eye Concentrate(Luxury brand) La Prairie and La Mer are neck and neck in terms of their reputation and price but La Mer The Eye Concentrate is way more suitable for my skin. It neither has a thick and heavy texture nor is it greasy, and it spreads and absorbs very easily. It's very nourishing and moisturizing to the touch and it doesn't leave my skin sticky. I've just bought it recently so I've yet to see its results, but it's said to be a superstar in reducing fine lines and dark circles. Another thing worth mentioning is the accompanying spatula, a green handle with silver ball, which is used to gently massage the eye cream onto the skin. Cooling and comfortable on the skin, it helps with eye cream absorption, and I hope that I can see results after using it for a longer period. 3) Kiehl's - Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado(Affordable brand) It is quite moisturizing but spreads less easily compared to La Mer. It needs to be emulsified between your fingers until it feels more watery before it's applied, or else it can't be properly absorbed! Gently dab from the outer to the inner corners of your eyes after it's the right texture. It does nothing much for me, maybe because it's no longer suitable for my skin age, and it might be more helpful for new fine lines. 4) ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff (Affordable brand) This eye cream is moisturizing and lightweight, which is how I prefer eye creams to be, and it also spreads very easily. The cream itself is a little shimmery and it's said to brighten the skin around the eye area, especially for dark circles. It does nothing much for me, but it feels nicer on the skin and is absorbed more easily compared with Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado. It's better to test eye creams yourself instead of just focusing on the skincare brand and following reviews, especially considering how age-sensitive eye creams are. What's your favorite eye cream?🤩
