I WILL NOT REPURCHASE
For 2021, I have made a resolution to no longer purchase makeup and skincare from brands that are not cruelty-free. Subsequently, I have unfortunately had to abandon about half of my makeup and skincare products. While it is sad to give up products I loved and used for so long, I can’t bear the thought of continuing to purchase makeup from brands that do such horrific things to animals. I would rather take the time to research ethical dupes than to continue paying these companies to mistreat animals. Pictured are some of what used to be my absolute favourite products, and below I will list a handful of (predominantly drugstore) brands that are not cruelty-free. I know there are plenty more, so please feel free to add them in the comments. Skincare: La Roche Posay Avene Vichy Biotherm Neutrogena Pond’s L’Oréal Garnier Nivea Cerave Makeup Maybelline L’Oréal Revlon Benefit Estee Lauder i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator
So I recently have started to this new look with my hair. I do a centre partition and make a low ponytail. Then I use a toothbrush and apply some of the got2b sculpting gel on it to fix all my baby hair and messy hair. And omg it does such a good. I sometimes use hairspray too but in this look I was out of my hair spray. I apply BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original serum to keep my hair shiny and glossy. I love doing my hair like this lately, it looks so much organized and sleek. And its comfortable to not have my hair keep bugging me all the time

The secret to long, healthy hair!✨💜
YES, that’s my hair! And I’m going to share with you some tips on how I got my hair to look like this! PSA: I’m not a hairdresser ❤️ Your shampoo DOES MATTER- stop using drug store shampoo/conditioner that’s just making your hair dried out and greasy. Some great and still affordable brands are PAUL MITCHELL - Clarifying Shampoo Two BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Shampoo MATRIX - Ultra Hydrasource Shampoo (I’m currently using the Paul Mitchell shampoo/conditioner) Tip: going to stores like marshals or TJ max can help save money on these products. ❤️ Cut the heat 🚫🔥 heat can damage your hair! And if you have to use heat styling tools PLEASE use a heat protectant spray. ❤️ Wash your hair only 2-3 times a week, you don’t want to strip your hair of its natural oils!! ❤️ Use hair oil or hair serum EVERY👏🏼SINGLE👏🏼DAY! You don’t need much, maybe a little more then a pea size just enough to hydrate your hair and give it some shine🌟 I like BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original ogx - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil Extra Penetrating Hair Oil I’ve also noticed while using these products my hair has less knots and frizz ❤️ Don’t underestimate the power of a silk pillow case. At night you move around and your hair can get snagged and break with a cotton pillowcase, the silk allows your hair to slide off and is better for your skin too ❤️ OLIVE OIL is your new best friend you never knew you had. I soak my hair in olive oil once a month and it really helps with growth. (I made a separate post on this if you want to know more!) ❤️ Most important⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT color your hair with box dye!!! Ahhh this is so so bad for your hair. If you need a change please go see a hair stylist to talk about what’s best for YOUR hair needs, your hair will thank you! ❤️ Don’t forger to trim the dead ends. I know it sounds so simple and everyone knows this buts it’s so important for the health of your hair and makes your hair look healthier and helps your hair grow faster! ❤️ Don’t forget about hair masks!! There’s so many different brands and options for every hair type. One of my favorites Is the brand HASK. HASK - Keratin Protein Smoothing Deep Conditioner Packette the packs are so big that I can use half and get 2 uses out of it ❤️ What brush are you using?? I only use the Wet brush - Original Detangler because the bristles are so flexible they don’t rip my hair out while I’m brushing while detangling my hair with no problem and can be used on dry hair too not just wet!! I hope this helped! If you have any other good hair tips leave them in the comments below!

Quick Messy Waves Tutorial ✨🌊
Sorry this is kinda short. I gave myself a MAJOR headache sitting in front of my ring light! 😬 Tips Mentioned: 1) always use heat protection! BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original is my personal favorite. I’ve been using it for YEARS. It’s full of hair-loving ingredients that help protect and keep the hair shiny and frizz free! 2) make sure that you’re taking small sections...about 1-2 inches wide but keep it thin! This will allow for more evenly dispersed heat, meaning you won’t need to go over the hair multiple times (pls don’t run your heat tools over your hair multiple times—this is highly damaging). 3) to keep it looking a bit more messy, don’t try to hit every piece of hair. 4) you want to try working with the natural direction of your hair pattern as much as possible. This will keep it looking more organic and less put together (if you’re going for that messy look). ***ill try to be less awkward, in the future! 😅 CHI - Lava Ceramic Hairstyling Iron I absolutely love this flat iron. It’s plates are lava infused, because lava is an excellent conductor of heat. It keeps the heat even as you run the flat iron through your hair, adding more shine and less time making multiple passes.

What to do with products you don’t like 🤷🏻♀️
You ever bought a product because of the brand you really like??? But somehow it doesn’t work for you. It happens to me all the time. I really love the Biosilk brand and I have been using their BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original shampoo for long times so thought this leave in conditioner would the same. Turns out it didn’t now. I still feel bad throwing away a good product also because I paid for that. Thank god my boyfriend is ok with using everything I don’t like to use anymore 😍🤗. It works on his hair and he love it 👍👍. It’s a win win situation 💕🙏

⭐️Current curly hair routine!⭐️
I have 3A curls (I think). My main focus with my hair is frizz control and keeping my hair moisturized without being weighed down. Most of this stuff is budget friendly and I’m going to make another post another day about budget friendly product for curly hair! So I recently bought this Carol's Daughter - Wash Day Delight Water-to-Foam Shampoo I was doing no poo before I found this but since it was summer and I was sweating I felt the need to bring back a cleanser. I don’t hate this but not sure if I’ll repurchase! I use it once a week and I find it helps with removing oil from my scalp which gives my roots volume. Carol's Daughter - Coco Crème Curl Quenching Conditioner this conditioner it’s pretty good but I don’t think there’s anything super special about it. All of carols daughters stuff is great but when I run out I’ll prob try a different one of their conditioners! So after I’m out the shower I’ll usually just use a towel to wrap my hair up bc (this is an unpopular opinion) I don’t find a cotton T-shirt reduces the frizz or makes anything different versus a regular towel. GARNIER - Fructis Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-In Conditioning Cream this leave in is $3, and always gets the job done for me. I have repurchased this over and over. (I reach for this more than the “its a 10” leave in) BIOSILK - Silk Therapy Original one of the pricer products I use, I use it to really keep my hair healthy and moisturized. A little goes a long way so I feel this product is definitely worth the money GARNIER - Fructis Style Curl Scrunch Extra Strong Hold Controlling Gel I’ll use this in my wet hair. My hair always responds well when I use a gel. It’s lightweight fizz control and curl definition. I don’t like spending a lot of money on gels so this is around $5. I’ve tried more expensive gels and tbh I don’t see much of a difference from cheap gels. Herbal Essences - Totally Twisted Curl-Boosting Mousse with Berry Essences lastly, I’ll use a mousse usually when my hair drys. Mousse is a STAPLE in my routine, I’ve tried not using mousse before and my hair is just not about it. Mousse again gives that lightweight hold my hair needs! And it’s $3 I use and own so many more products than this lol but these are the one I find myself using and repurchasing more often than any others! Do you have any curly hair products that are you’re absolute staples? Let me know!
