PTR Jet Set Facial! Is it worth it?
PTR Jet Set Facial! Is it worth it?
Peter Thomas Roth is definitely a more luxury skincare brand, but are the products worth the money spent. I tried these four minis in order to see. The results were hit and miss, however, this is a common occurrence since there isn’t a perfect brand. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masque This is supposedly a calming mask that is supposed to reduce redness, however, the ingredient list is very contradictory. Citrus extracts are very irritating to the skin and are more commonly used in exfoliating products for their properties. While the product does contain very good soothing ingredients such as allantoin, aloe, sugar cane extract and cucumber extract. It also contains lemon, orange, pineapple and papaya extracts which as mentioned before, are irritating ingredients. The product also contains dyes which can also cause irritation. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream This moisturizer has a very unique soft gel cream texture that glides over the skin and absorbs quickly. It leaves the skin feeling very soft and hydrated. Mica is included in the ingredients which adds a very soft glow to the skin. This product is fragrance-free which is amazing! Included in this product are hyaluronic acid, a vast amount of ceramides, and glycerin. These are amazing ingredients for hydrating and restoring the skin. The brand claims that the product provides continuous hydration which lasts up to 72 hours. However, there are no clinical studies to support this claim. Furthermore, the brand recommends applying the moisturizer twice a day for the best results which is confusing. So does the hydration provided really last 72 hours? PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Cloud Cream Cleanser This is a fragrance-free cleanser with a very gentle formula that is more suitable for combination to oily skin. It cleanses the skin well without leaving a tight feeling. It’s a pretty simple cleanser so there’s not much to say. There are superior cleansers out there at a much more affordable price point. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Firmx Peeling Gel This product relies heavily on fruit based enzymes for exfoliation. While these enzymes can exfoliate dead skin cells, it is very difficult to keep these enzyme stable in formulations. This means that the results aren’t as reliable as AHA and BHA exfoliating products. This product acts more like a scrub than a traditional peeling gel and as such, it’s the scrubbing action that makes skin feel smoother. This is a very overpriced product for what is essentially a scrub. The brand also claims that the product can decongest pores, but a scrub is not a good option to use against blemishes. It is fragrance-free so a point for that! PETER THOMAS ROTH - Jet, Set, Facial! Kit Will I repurchase any of these products? Nope.

MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater I use this more as a perfume these days and a mist more so than a setting spray which I know a lot of people use it for. BATH & BODY WORKS - WHITE JASMINE Fine Fragrance Mist (NOT THE FRAGRANCE —it’s body lotion I just couldn’t find exact product). I love this!! Keeps me moisturized and gives me a fragrance that everyone compliments after immediate use! GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask Haven’t yet tried. My friend gave it to me but she raves!! Will update once tried PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Just started using. It is so light and liquidy on the skin which I personally love. My skin feels well hydrated, but not heavy! pixi - Glow Tonic I pretty much use toner and moisturizer as my go to skin routine (for me the simpler the better), but after seeing TikTok and talking with others and learning to not use toners everyday, I’ve decided to just use it as a deep cleaner after using a makeup wipe. But, I’ve only used this a handful of times, but so far so good. I also use Witch Hazel as well. Will only be using if needed!

✨EMPTIES✨ • CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion. I love this product. This is maybe my 10th bottle. It’s lightweight, hydrating, full of beneficial ingredients and none of the unnecessary stuff. This isn’t quite heavy enough for my dry skin to use in PM but I love it for AM use under my sunscreen. Oily / Combo skin friends will love this as a PM moisturizer. ✅ Will definitely repurchase. • Benton Deep Green Tea Toner. Full of antioxidants and calming ingredients. It’s hydrating but super light weight. Great for people with oily skin, acne, or irritation. ✅ Would repurchase. • CeraVa Hydrating Sunscreen (Sheer Tint). This leaves a nice glow and is super comfortable to wear. However, the formula could use some improvement. It transfers VERY easily and doesn’t stay on the skin. A lot of my clothes ended up with this smeared on them. It is also not a great tint, pretty dark / orange hued - people with fair skin should stay clear. I wish they would come out with more tints. The bottle also got clogged up easily and made a huge mess around the top. ❌ Wouldn’t repurchase. • Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer. I Love the feeling of the moisturizer. It is like a big gulp of water for my dry and dehydrated skin. It contains many skin barrier supportive ingredients. This products only downfall is the price. I think I could find other hydrating water cream moisturizers for a more cost effective price. ✅ Would repurchase (if I can’t find a dupe 😜). Have you tried any of these products? Which is your fave? Much love to you, friends!🌻

✨☁️ HA Cloud Cream Magically Melty ☁️✨

PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream ☁️”This dreamy lightweight cream is made of a whopping 30% concentrated hyaluronic acid, which transforms atmospheric vapor into fresh pure water straight from the clouds, providing skin with a continuous burst of intense hydration that lasts up to 72 hours”☁️ Ok WOW that’s quite a product description. Basically it’s skin care witchcraft that absorbs + converts the air around us into hydration for our face. Actually it’s not magic, it’s just hyaluronic acid😛 💦 Ingredients💦 PTR outlines three star ingredients ⭐️the first one being Hyaluronic Acid (obvi). 3 different molecular weights that make up 30% of the ingredients. A lot of brands and products will just throw hyaluronic acid somewhere down at the bottom of the ingredients list, put a tinyyy drop in the formula and BAM now they can advertise that ingredient and I don’t particularly like it when brands market like that. This product definitely has what it claims to have. ⭐️Ceramides to lock in the hydrating HA and seal that moisture into your skin. And there’s a bunch of different ceramides in this formula, they are very high on the ingredients list so it’s safe to assume they are in high enough concentrations for us to actually reap their benefits. ⭐️Antioxidant rich elderberry which is an ingredient that fights signs of aging in our skin. 🙋‍♀️my experience🙋‍♀️ This moisturizer is really popular right now and after trying it - I get it! Not sure if you can tell from the photo but the texture is literally a dream. It is so lightweight it sinks into my skin instantly, leaving no residue or tackiness. I would say that sometimes it felt too lightweight for me on my dry skin. For people with oily skin this would probably be perfect but for me personally not every time I used it but sometimes I would add some hemp seed oil or Rosehip oil on my face on top of the cloud cream to seal in the moisture a little bit more. For me there was no irritation from this product it is oil free alcohol free and fragrance free. It is a little bit pricey but honestly it spreads out so well and the way they formulated it you really don’t need a lot. A little does go along way. Have you guys tried this product what do you think?

Do the seasons affect your skin?
Do the seasons affect your skin?
With a change in season comes a different temperature, humidity, wind and UV exposure which can all affect changes which the body needs to adapt to. It makes sense that as the weather changes outside your skin will react differently to it. With lower humidity— what we experience during the cold winter months—our skin’s moisture levels can drop drastically and dryness and a dull skin tone can set in. So what can we do? In general skin tends to be dryer in the winter, oilier (or at least less dry) in the summer. Extremes of temperatures and humidity disrupt the surface of the skin and cause changes in the function of the external skin barrier. After you have found a core skin routine that works for you, it is easier to adapt it to how your skin changes throughout the year. In drier seasons like autumn and winter, make a move to a more hydrating cleanser or balm. You will want to focus on hydration since the low-humidity climate during this time of year can dry out skin and the best place to start is with the first step of your skin care routine. Dermatologists also advise to tone less or even discontinue completely. Whether you have dry skin in the winter, oily skin when the humidity sky rockets, or normal skin year-round, the one thing your skin care routine needs is a hydrating moisturizer. Not moisturizing your skin you risk stripping your skin of oh-so important hydration , which causes overproduction of oils and a gross build up of dead skin cells on your face. When you start seeing the advertisements for everything pumpkin 🎃 spice (yum), Now is the time to pack away the lighter formulas and reach for the more emollient products focused on hydration and to find ways to combat visible evidence of any sun damage that may have occurred over the summer. The best part, most of the skin care routine changes you’ll make for the fall will last you through winter as well! Don’t forget your body!! Apply moisturizer within 60 seconds of coming out of the shower and look for ingredients like glycerin, ceramides and hyaluronic acid. 💦 The biggest thing is pay close attention to your skin. It will start to tell you what it needs and just make sure to adjust accordingly 🍁 Some great moisturizers I recommend for the fall and winter. Cetaphil - DermaControl Oil Control Moisturizer SPF 30 is a good one for oily skin. Jumiso - Have A Good Cream Snail & Centella also for normal to oily skin. boscia - Chia Seed Moisture Cream for dry skin PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream normal to dry. Happy Fall Y’all 🎃🍁

PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pumpkin Enzyme Mask Enzymatic Dermal Resurfacer I have got to say, I absolutely LOVE peter thomas roth! I have posted reviews on their PETER THOMAS ROTH - Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black Mask and their PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream and raved about these products! I have also tried their PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masqueand PETER THOMAS ROTH - Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Maskand have liked them as well!!! Moving on to their pumpkin enzyme mask 🎃 ... Let’s start off with it’s majestic cinnamon scent: a huge treat for my senses and definitely gives me fall vibes! The texture is not too rough on my face but rough enough to know that it is exfoliating the skin. After application, a THOROUGH wash is highly required as exfoliating beads and dead skin are leftover on the skin. (this lets me know the exfoliating is doing its work!! 😊) I suggest double masking and using a hydrating mask after this one to effectively cleanse the skin of any dirt leftover and to give the face a nice/fresh finish after exfoliating. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masqueis a perfect mask for this. This enzyme mask is also very easy to use. It does not cause any irritation, act too rough on the skin or create any uncomfortable sensations (burning, tingling, etc). I think this mask is a gentle, yet effective exfoliate. I recommend it to anyone who wants to add an exfoliate to their mask collection!! P.S. very little product is required with each use, so one purchase will last you a long time!
