Mini Products, Maximum Hydrating Effects
Mini Products, Maximum Hydrating Effects
Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer I got this mini travel sized moisturizer as a free gift along with a purchase. I’ve been using this for 2 days now and I am seriously considering getting the regular tub. This product is packed with hyaluronic acid, and we all know that hyaluronic acid is responsible for making our skin look supple and youthful hence, anything that has HA in it is super hydrating and will really help our skin maintain its youthful glow.   Within the short time that I’ve been using this product, I feel that it’s extremely moisturizing on my face. My face feels so plump and bouncy right after applying it. The moisture lives on even after a few hours after application. I use it in tandem with my normal routine of cleanse, tone, serums, and my dry combination skin has since been loving it.   PETER THOMAS ROTH - Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum This is another travel sized mini product that I have been loving lately. Vitamin C is known to counteract hyperpigmentation and uneven skin texture so anything with it is super helpful if you have the same issues like me such as sun spots.   This serum feels so good. The only downside is its smell but it’s not overpowering so it doesn’t really bother me too much. I can look past a product’s smell if it delivers me great results. Like the first product, it has only been 2 days since the first time I’ve used it but it does make my face glow and appear brighter than it was. I think vitamin C has an instant effect, and with that, I’m very thankful cause I like my skincare products to deliver me quick results.   If you’re looking for a brightening serum to combat your hyperpigmentation, try this.

I’d rather get coal...
I’d rather get coal...
“I’d rather get coal” than the Potent-C Power Serum by a Peter Thomas Roth! Now this is a bold statement I am proclaiming and note that rating....I was hesitant to go to the extreme of casting it one star (my mother taught me to always be gracious, in fact, ‘Grace’ is my middle name!) but you gotta understand where I’m coming from! Think up two ingredient that would make you ponder “weird flex”. You think of a couple? How about oranges and hotdogs, a combo I probably haven’t had since I was a kiddo and put ketchup on everything! I like oranges and I like hotdogs. However, I would not want to be drenched in hot dog water and then spritzed with orange essential oil. I’d rather get coal because at least I could cook an actual hotdog over coal! It’s potent all right! But where as they mean highly concentrated shots of vitamin c I mean it stanky! S-T-A-N-K-Y!It is almost as if they tried to mask it, but the orange scent just felt sort of out of place? So what exactly is the scent culprit? Well it is this little ingredient called furulic acid which is supposed to work wonders. Meanwhile, I’m wondering if a full size 30ml retails for $98 on their official site, who would pay $98 when they could just blend some hotdogs and orange peels and basically get the same thing? Ok, ok, I’m being melodramatic but I seriously cannot bring myself to finish up the travel size and I didn’t even spend a cent on that, so of getting through the travel size is such a hassle, then I really can’t imagine how bummed I’d feel if the product not only stunk but HAD spent my hard earned money on it! Note that at one point I actually did try to use it consistently. Even though that only lasted for a week, I did start to “get used” to the smell. However, I was using it only at night because I was self-conscious that if I could smell it so strongly at first, others would too and would think I was sweaty and gross. My Current AM Routine
My Current AM Routine
I feel like my routine is always changing due to purchasing new products to try and review, however here is my current AM routine. HOLI FROG - Tashmoo Water Lily Nourishing Milky Wash (fragrence free) I've only just recently started using this, but I will say I like this one. I find it similar to LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser Holifrog is a little more hydrating since it feels like a lotion than a cleanser. The La Roche cleanser is a good dupe if you need something a little cheaper and at the convince stores. If you have dry skin I highly recommend Holifrog, but if you have normal to oily skin and are just experiencing some sensitivity (like your skin barrier) then I would go with La Roche. COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence (fragrence free) I really enjoy this product because I feel like I am getting a good size value for the price. It also doesn't feel any different than any other HA essence or serum that I've tried (one being a very expensive one). Krave - Great Barrier Relief (fragrence free) This guy is definitely my holy Grail and I have reviewed it before. I use it daily due to my dry skin, but if you have normal to oily skin I definitely recommend having this on hand especially if you like to try new products and if it possibly irritates you or if you over do actives. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum (fragrence free) I've also done a review already on this one. It is very potent and has a stable form of vit C, however unless you are trying to severely even out skin tone or remove dark spots, I would not spend the money. It is definitely pricey (almost $100). If you really need the potency of this product, then go ahead. Otherwise if you are just looking to fix minor issues/use it to go along with your spf, I'd go with a cheaper (still stable) product likeTHE inkey LIST - Vitamin C Serum 30ml(I have not personally tried this inkey list product, but have heard good things about it's ingredients as well as being a reasonable price) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream (fragrence free) I am really enjoying this new product. It is a step up fromCeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream which I also love for the simplicity and price value, but this one has even more soothing ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal. I like to use this in the morning because it doesn't make my face overly shiny before I head out the door and it also goes well under make up (with a primer of course) #Deoproce - Hyaluronic Cooling Sun Gel spf 50[products]#[FourStars] (NOT fragrence free) I just recently bought this sunscreen and it is my first Korean spf. I love how easily it goes on and it gives me enough glow without looking greasy. My complaint would be that it's not fragrence free, but I'm happy it got me started. Next I'll likely try Krave - The Beet ShieldorTHANK YOU FARMER - Sun Project Water Sun Cream

Well formulated, but is it worth the $$$?
Well formulated, but is it worth the $$$?
Very well fromulated, with stable vitamin C at a very high concentration. This product will definitely help brighten and take away dark spots while being fragrence and essential oil free. The catch? You wallet. At $98, that can be a bit to shell out. It does last awhile, if you can afford it, but this is why I didn't give it five stars and hard to justify given there are plenty of well working vitamin C serums out there (granted with less potency). It comes down to how much you want out of your product? Do you have some dark spots to treat or are you just using it to even and brighten regular skin tone? Here you get what you pay for

Potent when used in tandem, VC&polyphenol
Potent when used in tandem, VC&polyphenol
If you have your head in the skincare game, you’ve likely heard of vitamin C serums. Vitamin C is regarded as one of the best anti-aging ingredients on the market — and the key to maintaining a smooth, even, and glowy complexion. It can reduce the appearance of under-eye circles and promotes collagen production, an ingredient the skin needs to look young. We know many products such as Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder all contain VC in this anti-aging products. Another ingredient that you may less hear about is Polyphenols. Polyphenols are a group of about 4,000 antioxidants. Polyphenols naturally protect our skin from the strong, damaging UV rays of the sun and radical damage. This ingredient helps reverse signs of aging like sun spots, fine lines, and wrinkles—making them a staple in anti-aging products. The French Caudalie Cream contains this ingredient. For anti-aging purposes, those two ingredients match so well to realize their antioxidant effects. I have two products that contain respectively those two ingredients. One is Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Power Serum. This tiny bottle contains 20% C-THD ascorbic I used up this serum a few days ago. It is the only Vit C serum I have used that delivered dramatic results: a couple of dark spots on my face that lightened considerably and tightening of pores on my cheeks. I can go out without foundation!  It is $98 with pump packaging. I love it except for the smell. Overall, it is a good product.PETER THOMAS ROTH - Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum Sesderma AZELACRU liposomal serum is a good match for Peter Thomas Roth. This one is of polyphenol. I had used up 3 bottles and hadn’t seen any visible results in relieving my pigmentation until I used this one in tandem with Peter. Those two did complement each other and provides a strong anti-oxidant layer to my skin. This serum is a medium-light one. So layer those two products will not be too heavy. I use those two in the evening before sleep. VC should avoid sunlight.sesderma - Azelac RU Facial Serum

PTR Potent-C Serum!!
PTR Potent-C Serum!!
The miracle Vitamin C I don’t hear anyone talk about but has made it to the top of my list: Peter Thomas Roth Potent-C Vitamin C Power Serum! This is a powerhouse for brightening hyperpigmentation AND anti-aging, and it features 20% THD ascorbate which is an ultra-stable form of Vitamin C that is 50x more powerful than traditional Vitamin C! It provides a solution for uneven skin tone, lackluster complexion, loss of firmness and elasticity, brightening hyperpigmentation and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It’s a miracle worker, I told you. It’s also packed with powerful antioxidants like Vitamin E and Ferulic Acid to brighten like no other. The texture is similar to that of a cream moisturizer, but it spreads out evenly across the face with a single pump. I would say that calling this a serum is a bit of a stretch — it definitely leans more toward the lotion side in terms of consistency but it layers well with other products so it doesn’t bother me at all. It smells similar to the Drunk Elephant Vitamin C, which is not the best smell (think hot dog water) but I appreciate that there is no added fragrance/parfum. Though I read a few reviews saying that this was comedogenic for people with combination/acne prone skin, my combination skin tolerates this product phenomenally and it’s delivered the most radical improvement of all the vitamin C products I’ve used to date. That being said, it comes with a hefty price tag ($98 for 1 oz) SO I would say it is worth it if hyperpigmentation and anti-aging is a huge concern to you, maybe more of a luxury/want but not need for younger skin types or people just looking to add a regular vitamin C to their routine. I’ve had this product for about 6 months now and I really enjoy it, and with consistent use it definitely has helped brighten my skin and fade some PIH left behind on my jaw. I don’t think I would’ve thought to buy this product on my own, I actually received it as part of a giveaway prize, but I’m so glad I got the opportunity to try it out because I really do love it. Apart from the visible effects, it also is doesn’t carry the risk of going bad before you finish the product like a lot of other vitamin C serums do due to the instability of the molecule. For my skin, I’d consider repurchasing this product in the future when dark spots and anti-aging is more on the forefront of my skincare concerns, but for right now I’m just enjoying it while I have it. It’s worth the price to me if you seriously struggle with the target concerns of the product and even more so if you have drier skin due to the consistency of the product itself. If it was just a little less expensive this Vitamin C would get a 5/5 stars from me, but because I think its a bit unreasonable of a price for my current needs I’m going to mark it down to a 4/5!
