If I live in a dry climate all year round, I think I will get crazy. My dry skin won’t stay for a moment. Most of time my face skin type is combination dry skin, but my body skin type is always quite dry. So products with moisturizing ingredients are always my first choice. Glycerin and hyaluronic acid are two classic moisturizing ingredients I focus on. The component content of these two directly determines the degree of moisturization of this product. Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel is one product has made a noticeable difference on my dry skin. This product actually has three textures, gel, lotion and jelly. Gel is for combination oily to oily skin, so many people will doubt why I use gel not lotion. The reason is this product I use only for the triangle area where I get oil not all. According to official description, gel is oil free.Note that this oil-free means that there is no vegetable oil or mineral oil, it does not mean there is no synthetic ester. I did a research on its ingredients list. A total of 31 ingredients. The formula is added with dimethylsilicone oil, which has strong ductility. So it will increase the smoothness of the application. In addition, with the large content of glycerin and hyaluronic acid, Clinique is smooth enough when used on your skin. What's more, I'm also acne skin. One of the key reasons for acne skin is oil imbalance. If you don't do a good job in skin moisturizing, you can easily get acne. Therefore, it is not only oily skin that will grow acne, but dry skin will also rise! Moisturizing is always the most basic step for skin care. And Glycerin and Propylene glycol are two key moisturizing ingredients. I recommend people who under 25 to use this product. Over 25 years old, only moisturizing cannot satisfy your skin’s needs. And this product only can help you skin in a hydrated condition, no other effect. CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel

What I learned about CERAVE after 15 years 😱
What I learned about CERAVE after 15 years 😱
It took me 15 years of buying moisturizers, serums and oils at every price point, and going through a whole rainbow 🌈 of skin reactions, to understand that when it comes to skin care less is WAY👏🏻MORE👏🏻. CERAVE is the best-kept secret of the skincare industry and here’s why! 🤫 CERAVE products actually work even if not all of them work for everybody in the same way. I can’t use their SPF day moisturizer and I couldn’t use this moisturizer on my face for the longest time either until I figured out my cleanser was causing all of the break outs. When you find the CERAVE product that works for you, it is nothing short of chef’s kiss 😘. I haven’t used anything but CERAVE on my face since it completely transformed my skin 2 years ago. Here are some of the moisturizers that were left sitting on my vanity, sad and alone when I found CERAVE. I still LOVE some of these brands but they’ve been replaced for good: (TOTAL = $1,078 😱🤯🤭😵😭) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator CLARINS - Hydra-Essentiel Cream Gel Kate Somerville - Goat Milk Moisturizing Cream COSRX - Advanced Snail 92 All in One Cream LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream (shocking, considering I sold my soul to buy this 💰- but true) Charlotte Tilbury - Magic Cream Moisturizer YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer OLE HENRIKSEN - Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream SATURDAY SKIN - Featherweight Daily Moisturizing Cream PETER THOMAS ROTH - Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane (close #2!) CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin comes in a literal family-size tub and it costs about $24.99 CAD. It’s less packaging, less marketing, less money than any of the products I’ve tried (with the exception of The Ordinary) and it delivers way more results, way more value and is formulated way better for use over time. That’s super key 🔑 because any moisturizer can be effective but not a whole lot of them are good for your use over time without sensitizing your skin in some way. There’s nothing sexier to me than skin that is actually hydrated and brighter and clearer. It feels better, it’s actually healthier as opposed to just looking healthier and all of your makeup looks way better on top. If you’re spending a ton of 💰 and you’re in a skin rut like I was - it might be time to simplify!

Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Skincare
Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Skincare
I want to move towards a clean skincare routine. My current products were not purchased with clean skincare in mind, but I want to know how many of the Dirty Dozen chemicals are in my skincare. See my previous clean skincare posts for more details. Dirty Dozen Chemicals to Avoid: 1. Coal Tar Dyes 2. DEA / MEA / TEA 3. Phthalates / Parfum / fragrence 4. Formaldehyde releasing perservatives 5. Parabens 6. PEG compounds 7. Petrolatum 8. Siloxanes 9. Sulfates 10. Triclosan 11. Talc 12. Hydroquinone A quick summary, almost every product contains PEGs! PEGs (polyethylene glycols) are petroleum-based compounds that are widely used in cosmetics as thickeners, solvents, softeners, and moisture-carriers. Depending on manufacturing processes, PEGs may be contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, known human carcinogens. 1,4-dioxane can be removed from cosmetics during the manufacturing process by vacuum stripping, but there is no easy way for consumers to know whether products containing PEGs have undergone this process. Here’s what’s in my current products: The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ✅ clean The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ✅ clean CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel ❌ contains paraffin ❌contains Petrolatum (Also contains dyes) Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment ✅ clean of dirty dozen SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment ❌ contains PEG-100, PEG-75 CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - All About Eyes ❌contains PEGs ❌contains Petrolatum CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator ❌ contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula ❌contains sulfates ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - Smart Custom-Repair Serum ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum ✅ clean from dirty dozen I’m new to reading labels, so if I’ve missed something let me know! What’s in your skincare?

My Holy Grail Moisturizer😌
My Holy Grail Moisturizer😌
My holy grail moisturizer of all times! I have tried many moisturizers throughout my skin journey but this one is so far the best one I have tried. I have tried many moisturizers that claim to provide moisture but don’t do anything and actually make may face feel tight, dry and somehow make my skin super oily. However, with this moisturizer I can actually feel my skin being moisture. It gives me the right amount of moisture my oily skin needs without feeling heavy or making my skin produce more oil than what it should produce. That being said I totally recommend this moisturizer specially if you have oily skin. If you have dry or normal skin Clinique has a lotion version of this moisturizer which is also amazing, I love to use it during the colder months. Also if you have sensitive skin this moisturizer is also safe for your skin because it doesn’t contain any fragrances. Critique a skincare newbie’s routine
Critique a skincare newbie’s routine
Skins problems: I tend to get mild Rosacea on my lower cheeks and develop tons of blockheads in the creases of my nose, chin and between eyebrows. Other than that I have combination skin with an oily t-zone and normal to dry everywhere else. Where I’m at... So I kinda feel down the rabbit hole into skincare the other month and have tried using a morning routine as follows: GARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (Made my skin so smooth really quickly, love this one) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel Neutrogena - Sheer Zinc Face Lotion SPF 50 (leaves a really bad white tint which I can’t seem to get rid of) And a nighttime routine as follows: CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap (leaves my skin a bit tight-feeling) PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator (I think it’s working I just can’t really tell) CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 2 For Dry Combination Skin (a bit drying but I don’t want to waste the product) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% (Made my skin so smooth really quickly, love this one) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel Outcomes so far: My skin is overall more hydrated and smoother but I still find black dots in my problem areas. Plea for help I have seen improvements but I feel like I don’t quite know what I’m doing and could use some external input. Plz feel free to add any (and I mean any) tips or critique. Thank youuuuuuu

THE FAMOUS CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator !! Ok, so, I have oily skin. And I don’t tend to use a hydrating moisturizer. However, this moisturizer does NOT leave my skin oily like many moisturizers do. In fact, it leaves my skin looking so smooth, glowing, and soft. Your skin may look like it’s oily and shiny, but then you touch it, and it’s just your skin that’s glowing with no need of our skin sebum. This product really sinks into your skin fast and easy! When I’m too lazy to put on a proper primer, I just put this on, and my makeup loooooks sooooooo goooood ! OTHER PRODUCTS : If you’re young and you’re using CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gelor the CLINIQUE - Limited Edition Jumbo Dramatically Different Oil-Control Gel, DO NOT USE THEM UNDER YOUR MAKEUP ! These moisturizers just stay on top of your skin and they take SO LONG to be absorbed. I also use the CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Overnight Mask on my lips during the night cause I like that the product is absorbed quickly into your skin. (I recommend this if you have dry lips)
