My Acne Skincare Routine - Results in 4 Days✨
My Acne Skincare Routine - Results in 4 Days✨
I have always struggled with dry skin + acne since I was 18 and the moment I saw significant results on my acne, I knew that the only way I could find the one product to work on my skin type is if I get myself educated and open to trying out new things even if I think it won’t work since I am acne-prone. SWIPE LEFT TO SEE MY RESULTS: I started taking photos of myself to keep track of what I’ve been using that I can’t see by looking in the mirror everyday! (PRO TIP) So, I’m so glad to finally share this for everyone to keep in mind when trying out products and hopefully it will encourage you to try it out for yourself. Of course you need to do your research but hey, skincare is all about trial and error right? At least now you know what you don’t know! Here’s a sneak peak of my acne skincare routine👇🏼 DAILY AM & PM ROUTINE: Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser 1 squeeze + to gentle cleanse my sensitive skin The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% 2 drops + for extra and clear overall imperfections The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 2-3 drops + bring hydration to my skin CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin 1 inch or fingertip size + to moisturize CeraVe - Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 For Normal To Oily Skin half a pump + I use it as my sunscreen for anti-aging Benzagel - Acne Gel 5% the reason why I got results in 4 days! Less is more due to concentration. I only applied on acne spots A few tips while using the products + keep in mind: For each products, I wait 1 min each to let it seep in to my skin applied by pressing the product on my skin to avoid premature aging applied my moisturizer and sunscreen lifting upwards (never down or circular motion) and enough to disperse the product but not as much touching my skin, if that makes sense I stopped picking my skin especially even if it was flaky! I had that habit for a couple of months which made my acne worst with marks before I tried the benzoly. So please take everyone’s advise on this! If you had to scratch your nose or you’re itchy, I usually just lightly press my fingernails on my skin. Weird but it helped to avoid irritation while I have my products on and if your hands are 100% clean, it won’t do anything + itch is gone! I hope you understood what I mean by pressing your fingernails Consistency and discpline is key! I don’t know why people don’t include disciple because without it, consistency is nothing. It’s also like saying something you don’t mean Notice that I include how much I used? Less is more and clearly, you can see the difference Notice how I only took a photo on the left side of my face? That can only mean because of my pillow. Please change it! Of course 4 days isn’t enough to get clear skin but it’s always a step closer to reach my goals so patience is also key!

FIRST POST/ONE WEEK RESULTS ✨
FIRST POST/ONE WEEK RESULTS ✨
Hi there! I’m so excited to share my skincare journey with all of you and hopefully we can learn from each other’s experiences. I’ve already learned a lot from Cherie and that’s why I decided to purchase some products from The Ordinary and give them a try to save my skin. I have oily skin and as you can see I’m struggling with acne, dark spots, and dark circles. Not sure what type of acne I have, but it seems hormonal to me. I started to break out like this about two months ago. Before that, I’d break out once in a while during my period or when eating too much junk food. A week ago (Oct. 10th), I started the following skincare routine: AM - Cleanse Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser - Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (I think I had a reaction to caffeine solution - my right eye started itching so I discontinued it from now) - Moisturize CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 PM - Remove makeup CeraVe - Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths - Cleanse Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser - Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - Moisturize CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Please swipe to see the results so far! I’m really happy with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% since it’s clearing out the acne. My face feels and looks better and I think there’s a small improvement. I’d love to hear your advice and suggestions! Also, I’d like to implement The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solutionand The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionto my skincare routine. Any suggestions on how/when to use them? Thank you in advance!

Help with a new Skincare Routine?
Help with a new Skincare Routine?
Hi! I’m new to Cherie but I’m currently looking to create an entirely new skincare routine for myself! (As my current one isn’t working) So, I was looking for some recommendations from you guys! I need the whole shabam so don’t be afraid to recommend anything! I’m somewhat lacking in the skincare knowledge department so any info will be extremely helpful! ✨ Here’s some helpful info: I’m currently using Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser or Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser as my facial cleansers. While I prefer the foaming cleanser, as it doesn’t leave a weird residue on my face, I’m willing to replace either. My skin is VERY sensitive (hence why I’m using “gentle” cleansers) and while I have usually combination skin, lately, it’s been extremely dry. Not to the point of flakiness, but like a tight itchy feeling? Almost as if it’s slightly chapped around my driest spot (the bottom of my nose). I’ve also been having trouble with acne lately. Usually around my mouth/chin with “under the skin pimples” (I’m not sure what they are??) on my forehead and chin as well. My skin has always been tame since I began taking birth control but I’ve never had completely clear skin. I had a really bad breakout right before our lockdown started (about 2 months ago I believe) and my skin was raging. I had used no new products, no changes whatsoever. Although, this was around the time of my finals as well so maybe it was stress? Either way, I washed my face in ivory soap for a while as it’s usually what I wash my body in (since my skin is dry and sensitive there as well). Eventually, the breakout simmered down and now I use my typical face washes listed above. Regardless of that, my face still doesn’t want to act right. I get like one new pimple every day or so, rather it be small or large so I’m in need of a change. I also have an issue in skin texture, not wrinkles but just the way it looks I guess?? It was one of the main reasons I switched to lighter and dewy foundations as I was originally a matte type of girl. Although, I just always looked “textured”, I guess you could say. It was never a good look put it that way. I don’t wear makeup often like I use to neither do I really wear heavy makeup. So, I’m not sure if that’s my problem. I could also use some help with skin dullness. How do you tell if your skin is dull? I’m a really pale gal so of course I’m not gonna have skimmering bronzy skin but lately my skin has just been looking lifeless in a way. I’m not really looking for SUPER high-end products! I don’t mind splurging though if need be! That’s all the info I can think of at the moment but you’re welcome to ask me any other questions you may have! I completed my skin analysis here on Cherie and my only problem areas were of course acne as my skin was considered acne prone (all my pimples are small at the moment, however) and dark eye circles, so I could use some help with them too!

2021 NEW Nightly Routine 🌙✨🌑
2021 NEW Nightly Routine 🌙✨🌑
2021 is officially here which means I have a few skin care resolutions I’ve made for myself. 1. I’m going to stay active with my skin care routine and not skip because I’m feeling lazy. ☝🏻 2. Buy only cruelty free products! ✌🏻 3. Love my skin, no matter what it’s going through! 🖤 So here is my updated nightly skin care routine (I’ll post my morning routine later.) First I start by washing my hands!!! Such an important first step in any skin care routine. 👏🏻 🧼 After I was my hands, I start with double cleansing, which is new to my 2021 routine! I never used to double cleanse but now that I’ve learned a little more about it and it’s benefits, I am thankful I started now! Better late than never! I use my oil based cleanser The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser which I am in love with because how gentle it is on my face and how cheap it was!! 🤑 Next I wash my face with Murad - Clarifying Cleanser . Before I began double cleansing, I used to use so much cleanser at once because I like my cleansers to lather and I was running out of the product faster than I should have. Since adding, I have been using a lot less at a time because it lathers beautifully and a little goes a long way. The only reason why I give it 4 stars is because I’ve been using it for 3 months and I still have those pesky pimples. I have to understand other circumstances are causing my acne and it’s not my cleanser’s fault. Also it’s a little much for my skin twice a day so sometimes I don’t use this specific cleanser in the morning to give my skin a break. I’ll usually opt for a more gentle cleanser like Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser After I cleanse, I apply my eye cream Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Eye Gel-Cream (not pictured) Now neutrogena is technically not completely cruelty free however I did do my research and they don’t test on animals except for the rare occasion when it is required by law. Also I bought this before going cruelty free and I don’t want to waste it. It’s a good product and really hydrates around the eyes. It feels nice and cooling on my skin and is smooth to the touch. Once I apply my eye cream I grab a cotton ball and The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution and apply a thin layer to my face. This solution has been helping immensely! I notice my skin looks cleaner and tighter and it’s not terribly harsh on my skin. After, I use FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream all over my face and neck and #JLo Beauty - That Blockbuster Cream[products]#[ThreeStars] just under my eyes because I got the trial size for free. Finally, I add the last touches. Hello ORGANICS - CBD Vegan Lip Balm Natural Sweet Mint Flavor and CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir which I will do reviews on later. 😘 What steps are crucial in your nightly routine? Let me know! 🖤

Help, under the mask
Help, under the mask
My skin is (almost) clearing up EXCEPT this pesky bump So after actually washing and moisturizing my face every day, my face is starting to clam down. Baby steps. One thing I still struggle with is these awful hard bumps. They appear every now and then. They are barely visible but they are painful and hard lumps under the skin. There seems to be no way to tame them quickly. I have to stop myself from prodding them too much. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of these? This is my current routine. I use bacitracin if anything is open or cut. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser Aveeno - CLEAR COMPLEXION Cream Face Cleanser With Salicylic Acid
