FIRST POST/ONE WEEK RESULTS ✨
Hi there! I’m so excited to share my skincare journey with all of you and hopefully we can learn from each other’s experiences. I’ve already learned a lot from Cherie and that’s why I decided to purchase some products from The Ordinary and give them a try to save my skin. I have oily skin and as you can see I’m struggling with acne, dark spots, and dark circles. Not sure what type of acne I have, but it seems hormonal to me. I started to break out like this about two months ago. Before that, I’d break out once in a while during my period or when eating too much junk food. A week ago (Oct. 10th), I started the following skincare routine: AM - Cleanse Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser - Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG (I think I had a reaction to caffeine solution - my right eye started itching so I discontinued it from now) - Moisturize CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 PM - Remove makeup CeraVe - Makeup Removing Cleanser Cloths - Cleanse Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser - Treat The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - Moisturize CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Please swipe to see the results so far! I’m really happy with The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% since it’s clearing out the acne. My face feels and looks better and I think there’s a small improvement. I’d love to hear your advice and suggestions! Also, I’d like to implement The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solutionand The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solutionto my skincare routine. Any suggestions on how/when to use them? Thank you in advance!

Help with a new Skincare Routine?
Hi! I’m new to Cherie but I’m currently looking to create an entirely new skincare routine for myself! (As my current one isn’t working) So, I was looking for some recommendations from you guys! I need the whole shabam so don’t be afraid to recommend anything! I’m somewhat lacking in the skincare knowledge department so any info will be extremely helpful! ✨ Here’s some helpful info: I’m currently using Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser or Cetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser as my facial cleansers. While I prefer the foaming cleanser, as it doesn’t leave a weird residue on my face, I’m willing to replace either. My skin is VERY sensitive (hence why I’m using “gentle” cleansers) and while I have usually combination skin, lately, it’s been extremely dry. Not to the point of flakiness, but like a tight itchy feeling? Almost as if it’s slightly chapped around my driest spot (the bottom of my nose). I’ve also been having trouble with acne lately. Usually around my mouth/chin with “under the skin pimples” (I’m not sure what they are??) on my forehead and chin as well. My skin has always been tame since I began taking birth control but I’ve never had completely clear skin. I had a really bad breakout right before our lockdown started (about 2 months ago I believe) and my skin was raging. I had used no new products, no changes whatsoever. Although, this was around the time of my finals as well so maybe it was stress? Either way, I washed my face in ivory soap for a while as it’s usually what I wash my body in (since my skin is dry and sensitive there as well). Eventually, the breakout simmered down and now I use my typical face washes listed above. Regardless of that, my face still doesn’t want to act right. I get like one new pimple every day or so, rather it be small or large so I’m in need of a change. I also have an issue in skin texture, not wrinkles but just the way it looks I guess?? It was one of the main reasons I switched to lighter and dewy foundations as I was originally a matte type of girl. Although, I just always looked “textured”, I guess you could say. It was never a good look put it that way. I don’t wear makeup often like I use to neither do I really wear heavy makeup. So, I’m not sure if that’s my problem. I could also use some help with skin dullness. How do you tell if your skin is dull? I’m a really pale gal so of course I’m not gonna have skimmering bronzy skin but lately my skin has just been looking lifeless in a way. I’m not really looking for SUPER high-end products! I don’t mind splurging though if need be! That’s all the info I can think of at the moment but you’re welcome to ask me any other questions you may have! I completed my skin analysis here on Cherie and my only problem areas were of course acne as my skin was considered acne prone (all my pimples are small at the moment, however) and dark eye circles, so I could use some help with them too!

Cetaphil-Cetaphil Gentle Foaming Cleanser
Ok so i need help making a skin care routine here’s the tea sorry it’s so long to read. I used to only wash my face with a spectro gel cleanser and use a cetaphil moisturizer every day and call it a day and my skin is starting to get bad again. I used to have really bad skin and tons of acne but it cleared up with birth control and age i guess. I still have some pretty big pores and dark spots and dark under eyes and i recently ordered a whole cetaphil skin care routine. It seems to be making my skin worse making little bumps on my forehead. I’m using the cetaphil foaming face wash, cetaphil daily scrub, followed by elf super toner, then cetaphil night cream in the pm and the cetaphil daily moisturizer with 15 spf and cetaphil eye cream. I also ordered the ordinary serums, i ordered the niacinamide 10% +1% zinc and the alpha arbutin 2% + HA which haven’t arrived yet. Please help me build a good skincare routine, i don’t mind spending money on better products but i don’t want to buy things that don’t work. My skin is combination. Any suggestions on products that would work, and what cetaphil product is giving me bumps on my forehead? all the products except the spf i can’t find: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HACetaphil - Hydrating Eye Gel-CreamCetaphil - Cetaphil Gentle Foaming CleanserCetaphil - Cetaphil Facial Night CreamCetaphil - Extra Gentle Daily Scrube.l.f. - Supertone Toner

Over-Exfoliated Skin: What To Do NextOver-exfoliation has a plethora of symptoms, ranging from redness and inflammation, tightness of the skin, dryness and flakiness, irritation bumps, rashes, breakouts, and a stinging sensation. With the rise in popularity of at-home chemical exfoliation, it’s easier than ever before to take it a step too far. Everyone is trying out TikTok-famous products like The Ordinary’s AHA 30% and BHA 2% Peeling Solution without an understanding of how strong it really is. Chemical exfoliation is all the rage now, due to its ability to clear up acne, even out the skin tone, and give you a glowy look. But none of these things will happen if you don't exfoliate properly!Sep. 29
