Hi lovelies 💕 Here is what I’ve been using for the past few months and I just want to say - a very simple routine goes a long way. Cleanser: your skin should feel clean after you wash your face, but it shouldn’t feel ‘squeaky’. I think there are no need to use cleanser with active ingredients and acids as they strip your skin of your natural oils & pretty much leave your skin irritated. Gentle cleanser works best for me. I normally cleanse 1 time in the morning, and 2 times at night. Serum: I always apply serums while my skin is still wet. I don’t dry my face with a towel all the way, better yet, let your skin dry on its own and apply your serums while the skin it a bit wet. I warm up my serum in my hands for 2 seconds before I apply it to my face. This specific serum from Vichy is great, and it is safe to use on your eyes so I apply it everywhere. Moisturizer: something I did not know when I was younger - no matter what your skin type is, moisturize. Find a moisturizer that works for you and apply it every.single.day. I had a bit of an oily skin growing up and thought a moisturizer would make it more oily and would clog pores, so I skipped that step completely. After trying a bunch of creams/moisturizers/lotions, I am now using the most simple one you can find in any store, and it does it’s job perfectly for me and does not clog my precious pores. I highly recommend a simple moisturizer during the day, no active ingredients needed. SPF: simply a must. Don’t skip it. I wear SPF even when I’m at home as the sun could still get it. Another mistake that I made when I was younger is not wearing SPF which made my PIH worse. I use this ultra light SPF which is non-comedogenic and creates a very good base for makeup. This combo of lotion + SPF is my favourite as they feel light on the skin and they don’t ‘roll’ on the surface. PM: this is where these active ingredients come in handy. Choosing your night treatment is very important as this is when you can address what concerns you the most and the treatment will soak right into your skin and will sit there overnight while you sleep 😴 making your $ count as PM treatments get pricey and you want to get the most of using them. My concerns are PIH and dark spots, niacinimide works very well for me. This very simple PM lotion from Cerave is very effective if you struggle from PIH, I highly recommend it 👍🏼 Don’t forget to drop your suggestions for me in the comments ❤️
Cetaphil-Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion
👍🏽 This face and body moisturizer is the most gentle moisturizer I’ve found so far. It’s lightweight, non-irritating, and fragrance free. It’s main ingredient is glycerin, which is humectant, that means it draws in more moisture to your skin😁 👎🏽 It can feel a little bit on the watery side, especially when it’s hot, but it gets the job done. I’ve tried putting in the freezer for a little while, which thickens it up a little.

Accutane = complete!
I have finished my round of accutane and wanted to share with everyone! The bottom photos is what I look like after applying my skincare that I have below. My skin definitely loves it! I still have some scarring to deal with but I am no longer having any breakouts! My skincare routine: spectro - Jel Cleanser I absolutely love this cleanser. I used this while on Accutane and I did not have any problems with it so this will be my go to cleanser now. dermalogica - Multi-Active Toner I’ve been using this for about a month and my skin is loving this! I spray this on damp skin to really hydrate my skin. OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Serum I use this because this is really the only vitamin c serum I have used. If anyone has a recommendation let me know! dermalogica - Stress Positive Eye Lift MaskI haven’t rated this because I just started using this. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion I’ve been using this for months and I actually love this! I also mix a few drops of The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil with it to lock everything in. I finished off with Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 I actually love this sunscreen!

My Family’s Favorite Beauty Products (oh no..)
Hey ya’ll! Today we’re talking about my family’s favorite beauty products! My grandma is super into high end beauty, but both my parents describe themselves as “creatures of habit” and aren’t that into it. However, they all have products they love. The way this will work is they’ll share their favorite products and why they like them, then I’ll give my opinions on them based on their ingredients. Mom: LAYRITE - Natural Matte Cream in Medium Hold: My Mom says it’s able to tame her frizzy hair, while also not requiring her to use a lot of it. My comment: I talked about this product in my Best of Haircare 2020 post on Cherie. This pomade is strongly targeted at men, as a great pomade for mess free styles. The ingredients don’t show much, it’s pretty standard. It has vanilla fragrance oils, which is okay for a hair product, and it has brazilian wax. OLAY - Complete UV365 Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 : My Mom says that her Mom used to use this when she was a kid, and my Mom started stealing it. She fell in love with it, and likes that it absorbs quickly while not being greasy, and that the smell reminds her of her Mom. This is ironic because I always steal this from my Mom. Who knows when the chain will stop? My comment: This one I’ve also talked about on Cherie in my Best of Skincare 2020 list. This is a really basic nourishing moisturizer, that’s great for beginners. It’s alchohol and frangrance free, and quite affordable. #Bobbi Brown - Lip Color[products]#[FourStars] : My Mom says she discovered this while shopping in early February 2020. She says it’s super soft, lasts a pretty long time, and that it’s more of a brown color than a true nude. My comment: This lipstick is imfamous for not layering well, but is great from an ingredient stand point. #Aveda - Smoothing Fluid Lotion[products]#[FiveStars] : My Mom says she’s been using this for about 15 years. It also helps with frizz, and brings her hair a lot of shine. My comment: The best way to describe this product is like a serum for your hair. It’s a bit oily on your fingers, and smells like pumpkin pie. It has fragrance, hence the smell, but again that’s okay in terms of haircare. It has a fusion of oils, which seem to be causing the oily texture, as well as the shine. Therefore, I wouldn’t recommend this to people with oily hair. Other than that, I wish I could recommend it, but apparently Avenda discontinued this product :(. Dad: head & shoulders - Classic Clean Anti-Dandruff 2 in 1 Paraben Free Shampoo and Conditioner : My Dad says that he normally has bad dandruff, but this shampoo works to get rid of it. I think we can trust him on that, as he’s been using it for about 40 years. My comment: This product uses pyrithione zinc as it’s main dandruff fighting ingredient. Zinc can help prevent hair loss, clean your hair folicules, and reduce build up on your scalp. I wouldn’t reccomend this product because it contains large doses of both sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium laureth sulfate. These are known skin irritants, which can cause severe reaction to those with sensitive skin. #Paco Rabbane - cologne[products]#[ThreeStars] : My Dad says he tried it because his uncle used it, and he’s been wearing it for 25 years now. My comment: you can’t say anything about a cologne, I mean it’s all about the fragrance. #Irish Spring - Bar Soap[products]#[ThreeStars] : My Dad says he likes the smell. My comment: my Dad is so old he hasn’t graduated to liquid soap yet. Some side notes, people on amazon say it’s a great pest and deer repellent, as well as a great deodent. Who knew bar soap had a bunch of different uses? Grandma: OBAGI - Nu-Derm Toner : My Grandma says that she likes how calming this toner is. My comment: I overall don’t like this product. First, witch hazel is the third ingredient in this toner. Witch hazel can be irritating and sesitizing, and it also needs alcohol in it to be stable. Alcohol is also irritating. This product also has fragrance, and when I smelled it I thought on cinnamon. OBAGI - Nu-Derm Foaming Gel : My Grandma says she likes to use this and the toner together. My comment: This product is really bad. First, it contains a large amount of Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which I already talked about. It also contains unnecessary extracts, fragrance, and 5 TYPES OF PARABENS!!!! Parabens are believed to mimic the hormone oestrogen. “Too much oestrogen can trigger an increase in breast cell division and growth of tumors, which is why parabens have been linked to breast cancer and reproductive issues.” According to Elle magazine and the Environmental Working Group. SKINCEUTICALS - A.G.E. Eye Complex for Dark Circles : My Grandma likes that this cream help diminish the appearance of her wrinkles. My comment: This product is okay. The ingredient list is fine, my only concern would be that it contains a pretty big amount of paraffins, which are known to clog pores. #skinmedica - the advanced serum[products]#[OneStar] : My Grandma says she LOVES this serum! She says it contains stem cell factors, and is really expensive but unbelievable. My comment: This product is really overpriced. It’s $295.00 for a 1 oz. bottle, and NOTHING on the ingredients list justifies the price. It claims to have anti aging complex’s, but if so, I can’t find them on the ingredients list. All I see is a list of cheap extracts, that are a form of fragrance even though they claim the product is fragrance free. Sorry Grandma, The Ordinary will give you better serums for $5. Save that $290 for something more important! Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion : My Grandma says this is a good, simple moisturizer thats well priced. My comment: This is a good product! It has glycerin which is hydrating, it’s not overpriced, and it’s fragrance free! That was a roller coaster, but that’s it for today! Make sure to cheer this post to spread the awareness that no matter how long you’ve been using a product it might not be good. My new beauty buys #cheriepartner
Who loves buying new beauty products and skin care products? I do 🙋🏼♀️ I always get so excited to buy new skim and beauty care stuff I love to explore new products and see if I love them or pass on them. These products I am in love with at the moment and this is my skin care routine throughout the night and morning. I love to detox my skin more so at night because my skim adsorbs access oil and dirt during the day and I see a difference just using these at night . So you don’t have to use all these steps at once after the shower bc you don’t want your skin to dry out especially if you have sensitive skin like myself I love to used back to back sometimes I’ll use my acne dote and my acure facial scrub and after moisturizer and that’s it, so I’ll use acne cleanser and a brighter scrub or a gentle scrub like aveeno something more soft and nourishing and takes off your makeup as well. And moisturizer is so important after washing your face so your face won’t dry up. ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Lotion Cetaphil - Pro DermaControl Purifying Clay Mask Aveeno - Absolutely Ageless Nourishing Cleanser These definitely have helped my skin and I’m happy with these products I came across
