Original Coffee Scrub
Why It's SpecialI've been a fan of this product for 4 years. It exfoliates my skin and leaves it so smooth. I've tried many other ones to include DIYing and I always back to it. It helps to shave my legs better and help prevent ingrown hair on my thigh. The smell is soooooo delicious too.
What It IsOriginal Coffee Scrub is the natural coffee-based body scrub that made frank body famous. Smells like: a fresh pot of coffee.

Product Claims vs My Thoughts - Frank Body
“Guess what? You’ll be naked in one minute,” that is Frank Body’s tag line for their frank body - Original Coffee Scrub ! It’s supposed to be the best body scrub of all time and I am here to say it’s pretty dang on close to being perfect! It claims to make skin look even, fight away breakouts, and soften skin! Those are mighty claims and so far I have seen two of those claims! Let’s begin with the basics: it only cost $16.95 for a huge bag of body scrub (7.05 oz). I started using it early January because my coworker kept recommended body scrubs and how they made her skin feel so soft. I now use it once a week, it’s recommended to be used every 2-3 days. I only use it once because the clean up takes time since the leftover coffee scrub gets on pretty much every crevice of your bathtub. Besides the clean up, this scrub smells and feels amazing. It’s so easy to use since you just take a handful, scrub your body, and wash away. You are meant to put extra attention on the areas with scars, stretch marks, and cellulite. Full disclosure - I do have scars on my body but they haven’t 100% healed so I do not feel comfortable doing this step yet. Now when I say you practically get instant results in an instant, you do! After scrubbing some of this on your body - you feel how soft it can be! I feel like it evens skin and softens at the same time. The only item I was unsure about was clearing breakouts since I do not have body breakouts and can’t say whether that claim is true or not. All other claims are just as they say and I’m officially a huge body scrub fan! FYI - if the smell of coffee affects you, than this is probably not the right body scrub for you. But if you’re a fan of coffee, enjoy!

Like a morning cup of coffee for your body
frank body - Original Coffee Scrub This stuff leaves your skin SO soft. It's affordable and the packing is super cute. Figured the easiest way to do this is a good ol' pros and cons list: PROS: - skin insanely soft after literally one use and actually kind of glows - affordable, especially for Canadian peeps. It's an AUS company so the dollar is on par with ours, plus there's no difference between the US and CAD costs (16.95 in either currency) - nourishing and vegan! - cleared up stubborn booty acne in under a week and dry elbows CONS - messy af, it literally gets EVERYWHERE (it's loose coffee grounds) - zip top bag is hard to use, grounds get in it and it doesn't close unless wiped clean, plus it's hard to keep in the shower due to water (I keep mine in the fridge for freshness and just take a little out in a mini tupperware to the shower with me) TBD - one of the main selling points is the benefits for reducing cellulite, scars and stretchmarks. I honestly haven't noticed a change, but I think that'll be a see-at-the-end-of-the-bag kind of difference Long story short - if you're looking for a miracle solve for cellulite / stretch marks or something for use in a 5 minute shower, this probably isn't for you. BUT, if you're willing to a take a few minutes and have some fun in exchange for baby soft skin, this is 100% for you. I'm only marking my re-purchase as "probably" because I might try the express-o (whipped) version next to compare since it's less messy and more user friendly.

Happy #matchapinkmonday everyone!💕💚 with @phithegoldenskin . . How is everyone’s Monday going??🥰 . . So today I wanted to talk about exfoliation, (but not the face kind)✋🏼. Let’s talk body scrubs. . . I’m sure most of you utilize some sort of facial exfoliation in your skincare routine, but do you give your body the same kind of TLC?💆🏼♀️ . . Although our body naturally sheds dead skin cells, as we age👵🏼, that cell turnover process slows down. Once we are past our teens, 👱🏼♀️our cell renewal factor increases from 21-28 days to 28-42 days!! 🤯Those dead skin cells just sit on the top layer of your skin which causes it to look dull and lackluster. . . This is where body scrubs come in. Long-term exfoliating can increase collagen production. As you remove the surface layer of dead skin cells, it shocks the skin, causing it to produce new cells and stimulates new collagen production. So not only does the skin look more vibrant ✨and glowing due to the shedding of dead skin cells; it also has an increase in collagen and elastin production. As mentioned in a previous post, those are the proteins that are essential to anti-aging and youthful looking skin.🤩 . . I love trying out new body scrubs (both store bought and hand made) especially since the skin on my body is less sensitive than my face. However, the one scrub I always go back to is the @frank_bod Original coffee scrub☕️. . . Frank keeps it simple with the ingredients: coffee grinds, almond oil, vitamin E, and sea salt. Products that help speed up cell turnover, and truly hydrate💦 the skin. This is one of the few body scrubs that actually leaves my body feeling moisturized after drying off, and I don’t feel the need to add a moisturizer or body oil. Plus that coffee scent☕️ is a great way to perk you up in the morning☀️🙌🏼! . . I’m hoping to try out his peppermint, cinna-buns, and rose gold ✨coffee scrubs soon! Have you tried any of these scrubs and experienced #thefrankeffect ?

🧡 Easy Fake Tan Removal 🧡
Easy fake tan removal - with products you probably already have! ✨🧡 This is by first attempt at a “Tik Tok” style video - constructive criticism welcome 🧡✨ I am not sponsored, never will be & just do this for fun! 😉🥰🙌 Story time... I really messed up my fake tan on the weekend. I didn’t exfoliate beforehand, I applied the product in a rush & then I left the house on a warm day without rinsing it off first. The result was 😬😬😬 (No disrespect to the self tanner I used here bondi sands - Liquid Gold - I’ve used it many times before & had excellent results, I just botched it this time round - it happens to us all at some point!) Thankfully, I was able to remove about 90% of the tan today using some products I already had lying around. Here’s how I did it: Step 1. Lather on a generous amount of coconut oil everywhere where you want to remove the tan 🥥 Massage into the skin a little bit. (If you don’t have/don’t like coconut oil, most other oils should do the trick ie olive oil). Step 2. Let the coconut oil soak infor 5 minutes ⏰ Step 3. Grab a body scrub and rub it in on top of the coconut oil. I used frank body - Original Coffee Scrub which I love. If you don’t have any scrubs lying around, sugar will do the trick 💁🏼♀️ (coarse sugar like brown sugar is best). Step 4. Reaaaally massage in that scrub! I used an exfoliating mitt, but if you don’t have one your hands will work fine, it might just take a bit longer 🙌 Step 5. Rinse! 🚿 Make sure you use a shower gel to remove the excess coconut oil from your skin. Step 6. Moisturise! This won’t help with removing the fake tan, but it’s a good idea to always moisturise after a deep exfoliation ✨ That’s all folks! 🐰 Swipe across for before & after 💁🏼♀️🥂 As previously mentioned - this will not remove ALL of the tanning product. In my experience, even pricy professional fake tan removal products don’t remove everything in one wash - so a good scrub & oil combination will do the same! For me, coconut oil + Frank Body Scrub removes most if it & whatever is left comes off during my next shower 😉 P.S. Please don’t judge my terrible pedicure. The salons just reopened where I live... after months of lockdown... & they’ve all been booked out... DIY nails is NOT a strong suit for me 😿 Follow me for anything other than DIY nails 😹

💖BEAUTY ON A BUDGET💖 Where to Spend & Save
Which products are worth the $$$... and which aren’t? 💖HAIR💖 SPEND on shampoo & toner if you colour your hair Shampoo is for cleaning your hair (duh!) but cheaper brands can contain damaging ingredients that strip colour Quality shampoo for your hair colour = prolonging colour = more time between hair appointments = more money saved in the long run Similarly, a good quality toner (especially for blondes) is a good idea KEVIN.MURPHY - Blonde.Angel.Wash MR.SMITH - Mr. Smith Blond SAVE on conditioner & hair masks The purpose of conditioner is to replenish the hair’s nutrients & moisture post shampooing. There’s plenty of great budget friendly options out there to achieve this Herbal Essences - Bio:Renew Argan Oil Of Morocco Repairing Color-Safe Conditioner Similarly, hair masks are great but there are plenty of budget friendly alternatives - like coconut oil! 💖BODY💖 SPEND on products where the quality really shows, like fake tan Cheaper fake tans often aren’t worth the savings. They don’t last as long, the colour isn’t as natural & they often transfer more easily onto clothing & bedding JOSIE MARAN - Ultimate Argan Tanning Duo SAVE on products where quality budget options are aplenty - like body scrub & moisturiser This is an easy area to save money in, especially considering how much product is needed to regularly treat the entire body! frank body - Original Coffee Scrub PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion 💖SKIN💖 A good rule of thumb with skincare is to SPEND on active ingredients like Vitamin C, Retinol & acid exfoliants DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream GO-TO - Exfoliating Swipeys SAVE by using natural products with proven benefits. Cucumber slices are great for de-puffing eyes. Honey has antibacterial & anti inflammatory products so makes a great face mask. Coconut oil is a great alternative to more expensive oil cleansers Also micellar water is basically the same across all brands - don’t waste your money on an expensive version! sukin - Micellar Cleansing Water 💖MAKEUP💖 SPEND on foundation & tinted moisturiser with SPF These are the kinds of products that you want to last all day & protect you from sun damage. Don’t skip quality here WESTMAN ATELIER - Vital Skin Foundation Stick Atelier (for skin with undertones) JOSIE MARAN - Argan Daily Moisturizer Mineral SPF 47 Protect and Perfect SAVE on mascara & lip balm I’ve tried expensive versions of these & cheaper ones... & hardly noticed a difference to be honest! #Mecca Max - Eye Max Volumising Mascara[products]#[FiveStars] LUCAS' PAPAW REMEDIES - Lucas' Papaw Ointment Lip Balm
