A beautiful mistake
Do you ever look at all your skincare products and just obsess over the colors and textures?!? 🌈 I sure do 🙋♀️ BUT...I’ve learned quickly that while yes, this is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken, I also made a BIG MISTAKE!! 🚫 I used to get so excited (well, still do) when a new product arrived in my possession that I opened it immediately. I wanted to see and feel the beauty inside, and get it on my face!!! Well, every single product has a little thing called an EXPIRATION DATE! In opening up a new jar I am literally setting a clock which is usually 6-12 months before I have to use it up. And when you have so many moisturizers or masks open there is no possible way to use them all up in that time frame. I’d have to be masking several times a day! 🤦♀️ Every product you receive will have TWO DATES: * The expiration date without opening the package & * The expiration of the product once it’s been opened —————— What I do now is: 1) show some SELF-CONTROL 😂 2) Date each package as it arrives - I take a black marker and date the box so I don’t forget how long it’s possibly been in my possession. This was usually the case when I was getting so many subscription boxes as there would be so many, let’s say cleansers, that were adding up that I knew it would be some time before getting to them. 3) Date the product when opened - I usually find a discreet place to mark the day I opened it as I will probably be photographing it several times and don’t want the date showing ————— This seems simple and obvious but I urge you to really pay attention to your expiration dates. I’ve already had some I’ve had to sideline as they’ve expired. Also cutting back on my purchases and cancelling my sub boxes has made a difference. It’s exciting getting new products but there can be a level of overabundance! I’m definitely trying to be more conscious of my ‘needs’ and not my ‘wants’. 😉 Do you spot any favorites? All products should be reviewed individually in previous posts but let me know if there is one you’d like to hear about. Peace and health to all ❤️my @cheriefamily 🍒😘 #CherieCreator

My Wash Off Mask Collection
I’ve accumulated quite the wash off mask collection! Now, this isn’t 100% complete because I have 2 more not shown here, but I’ve only used those a few times so can’t review just yet. Curious which ones I like and which ones I don’t? Keep reading! bliss - Mint Chip Mania Mask is a fun, minty-scented, whipped, cooling mask with little shea butter “chips”. Apply and leave on for 10-15 minutes. Per the directions, when you remove it, massage the mask so the “chips” melt down and add a boost of moisture to your skin. I love using this mask right out of the shower or bath because it is cooling. Provides some moisture. Would repurchase. Retails for about $15-17 and is available at some drugstores, Target, Ulta, and the brand’s website. SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask and SUMMER FRIDAYS - Overtime Mask I’ve reviewed both of these on Cherie and IG. They’re pricey, but I think they’re worth it. They both smell great (R+R like rose petals, Overtime like pumpkin spice), exfoliate, nourish, and leave my skin feeling baby soft in about 10 min. R+R is $52 for a full size, and Overtime is $44. Both of mine are minis because they came in a holiday value set. LUSH - Mask Of Magnaminty I reviewed on Cherie a long time ago. It smells delish! Even more minty and chocolate-y than the Bliss mask. I love the scrubby aduki beans, deep-cleaning kaolin clay, and soothing honey. Leaves my face feeling so clean and refreshed. $14.95 for 4.4oz, and available in larger sizes from Lush. Herbal Dynamics Beauty - CACAO & CHAMOMILE CLEARING CLAY MASK is a dud for me. It was sent to my by the brand at my choosing because I saw soooo many positive reviews. It has great ingredients, like cacao, chamomile, lavender, clay, and salicylic acid. It smells like chocolate and lavender. Unfortunately, this mask really irritates my skin (redness, burning) and causes my eyes to water profusely. I’ve used it as a full face mask and a spot treatment 2x. Saw no positive effects - I broke out! I’m going to pass this along to one of my sisters since it’s basically full. $24. Would not recommend. Zion Health - Seaweed Clay Mask and Zion Health - Hydrating Mango Clay Mask are newer to my collection. I’m actually not huge on clay masks because they tend to irritate my skin, but these ones are pretty mild and don’t dry down into a hard shell that’s impossible to remove. They were sent to my by the brand. Both of these are aimed at gently detoxing the skin while renewing and (the mango one) hydrating. Neither really have a scent. Both are very thick and easily removed with a warm, damp cloth. My skin is left feeling refreshed and a bit nourished (the mango one because it contains shea butter, not seaweed). They’re around $20 ea. and have a ton of product inside, so I would recommend! I recently finished up a couple vitamin C masks, too!
Zion Health- Seaweed Clay Mask
I mint it when I said I love this mask. A cooling, mint mask formulated with aloe vera & peppermint leaf extract to hydrate, soothe, and calm the skin while the shea butter “chocolate chip” pieces leaves my skin smooth and nourished. I have been leaving this in my mini fridge so, it feels extra cooling when applied on my skin. I absolutely love the mint chip smell and it feels like I'm smearing ice cream on my face. 😂 P.S. No product was wasted here. All of that went straight to my face afterwards. 👌
bliss-Mint Chip Mania Mask
bliss Mint Chip Mania mask 🍨 this mask is whipped and really is the texture of a bowl of ice cream it is so unique! It smells minty from the peppermint leaf extract and is really cooling on the skin the entire time you wear it but not in an uncomfortable way it feels really relaxing and soothing. This mask also contains bentonite clay to gently remove dirt and toxins from the skin this is not drying like other clay masks can be but I do feel like my skin is nice and clean after I use it! The aloe vera in the mask soothes and moisturizes the skin I love how my skin feels when I remove this it’s so soft and plump. The “chocolate” pieces in this mask are small pieces of shea butter I massage them into the skin before rinsing the mask off. When I take this mask off my skin feels clean and hydrated and it’s such a great experience while wearing! This mask is going to be really good for the summer time because of how cooling it is, and on their website Bliss said to pop it into the fridge to boost the cooling effect so I definitely will be trying that in the future when it’s a little less cold!

Nothing better than some mint chip
I have loved bliss masks for years now and I was so excited to get my hands on the mint chip mania mask! ⠀ This mask gives you the cooling & soothing texture of ice cream (I promise it won’t melt off your face but please hold back from eating it). ⠀ I popped it in my skincare fridge and applied it to my face after a day in the sun and boy did it feel good! ⠀ It cooled my skin while nourishing it. I was left with a cool soft and moisturized face! This is a perfect mask especially for this time of year when your skin is burning in the summer heat. ⠀ Treat yourself to some mint chip 🍦bliss - Mint Chip Mania Mask
