Dry flaky skin? No, thank you 🙅🏻‍♀️ Enter Murad’s AHA / BHA exfoliating cleanser. A game changer! You’re probably wondering what AHA or BHA means and what do they do for our skin. Both do a really good job with exfoliators, pore minimizers, wrinkles reduction, evening out the skin tone, and removing dead skin cells. You can use AHA or BHA by itself depending on your skin concerns. AHA: Alpha hydroxy acid- they are water-soluble derived from fruits. AHAs are generally used to target aging/wrinkles , discoloration/hyperpigmentation, and enlarged pores. AHAs help peel the dead skin cells in the surface of our face to make way for the new and more evenly pigmented skin cells. Leaving your face smooth like a baby’s butt! BHA: Beta hydroxy acid- these are oil-soluble acids. Unlike AHAs, BHAs work deeper on the skin. It deeply penetrates the pores and drying out excess oil and dead skin to unclog the pores. BHAs are usually used to target acne and sun damage. With that in mind, BHAs can be drying on the skin. It’s usually geared for oily or oily combo skin. Now about my experience with this product: First of, these a lot of product in this bottle and a little goes a long way! It feels light weight and applies on to the face nicely. It’s definitely a gentle exfoliator. I concentrated on my T-zone a lot when using this since those are the areas where I have a lot of excess oil production and sebum. After use, looks brighter and healthier. My skin feels super smooth!!! I literally cannot stop feeling my cheeks after. It does a great job with unclogging the pores or even just prepping the pores for simple easy white head extractions. Overall, I am really happy with this product. I received it from my ipsy glam bag ultimate. I use this 2-3x a week. Basically every other night.

Clarifying Ance Prone Skin Types
Clarifying Ance Prone Skin Types
Step 1 : Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser This will help with cleansing deep into the surface layers of your skin. Has a blend of Salicylic, Lactic and Glycolic acids ( which are enzymes that will help without irritation) acids will help polish away dull, dry skin without irritation. Will help resurface your top layer of skin. Help stop those cystic pimples. Step 2: Murad - Pore Rescue Pore Extractor Pomegranate Mask This will help bring up any deep impurities that’s trapped into your skin. Murad - Essential-C Toner Step 3: PAULA'S CHOICE - Hyaluronic Acid Booster Helps with h Keeping my dull skin hydrated and plump looking fresh. A daily necessity! Murad - Vitamin C Glycolic Brightening Serum This is a must have to my daily routine. Vitamin C helps brightens my skin from any dark spots and helps keeps it nourished. FOREO - LUNA go for Combination Skin I love this brush especially when I travel. It’s great for deep cleansing my face. LANCER - The Method: Nourish For Sensitive Skin Moisturizer I love this nourish moisturizer, I helps with keeping my skin hydrated and firm! BLACK GIRL SUNSCREEN - Black Girl Sunscreen SPF 30 ( You Don’t have to be a black girl for this sunblock!) anyone can use it. Choose one you like. Just be sure to wear it! This is why I went back to school to be a Licensed esthetician to learn all about skin. Due to my acne prone skin as I grew up. Unfortunately, as we grow into a young woman there are many factors when breaking out. Some of the advise I will give you is not a dyignose. It’s simply a few suggestions to help you. I would first ask you what are you ingesting? /eating? There could be something that causing you internally to have breakouts. I would suggest finding a certified and licensed hormonist/Nutrionist, or an Allergist in your area, who can take blood to first see if there is something you could be allergic to. Or take a journal of thr food you could be eating to see when the breakouts occur. This way you can limit the foods that causes these acne prone Accuracies that you might be happening. Also, with hormones you could be experiencing changes with too much extregen or not enough or what ever your doctor sees in your bloom that’s happening with your body. I had mine checked, and I was producing to much estrogen. Which was causing me to break out. That’s just me. The right doctor will help you. Second (2nd), ans in the meantime to help the topical part of your skin until you’re healed internally. Get a AHA/BHA Exfoliating cleanser. This will help with drying up any oily prone skin and acne. AHA/BHA with A blend of Salicylic, lactic, and Glycolic acids helps deep clean oil and dry up acne, but will also help polish dull dry skin without irritation. Which includes enZymes that will help nourish your under layer of skin. Which you mentioned your skin gets dry. It will help it. Also, please stop using the witch hazel. That’s not helping you. This cleanser will help with cell turnover for new skin. It will cleanse any pull impurities out of your skin and will help polish off dead skin. And reduce acne. Do this about 1-2 days a week. The Murad “age Reform” is great for this acne prone skin. Third (3), maybe use a clay mask to help bring up impurities out of the deeper layer of skin. And then a great toner to help bring your skins PH back to balance. I also suggest getting a great Vitamin C serum. This will help with brightening your skin and rebuilding new cells to produce new skin as it pushes up to the top layer of your skin. This should be in your regime daily. I love the Sonage Vitamin C. Then I suggest Either Pink Elephant, or Dermotoligica. They don’t have harsh chemicals. Which from my experience I love using these products on myself. And lastly, then try a great Moisturizer, such as Dr. lancer “Nourish”. Which will help bring back luster and hydration back to your skin without being greasy. End with a sunblock to be sure to protect all of your efforts. Sunblock will also protect your from the sun rays. This sunblock is mandatory. In this process of products a great way to remember the steps in product application is to go from thin water base products to thin for better product penetration into the skin. That has helped me over the years. No matter what! Now some of these products can be a bit pricey. ( it’s all subjective) However, they do have a bit more ingredients in them to help with product results and product penetration. Again, these are only suggestions. You can do whatever you choose. I’m glad that you asked me for help. I’m sure you will see results over the next month or two. If you need anymore help, please reach out to me. I would love to help you more. Try this in the meantime, I’ll try to list all the products I suggested and please keep me updated. Good luck! You will be fine with all the great suggestions. Take what you can use and execute! #Cheriecreater #CheriebeautyExpert @DLashes

One Year Progress
One Year Progress
Exactly one year apart! I started my skincare journey 9 months ago. I primarily use Glow Recipe, but am slowly venturing out and replacing my lesser favorites of their products. These are some of my tips and holy grails! GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream holy crap this stuff really helped my redness, that was my biggest skin concern 2-3 times a week I do a chemical and physical exfoliant, I got this one in a boxy charm box and fell in love. I would recommend doing this in the shower and leaving it on your face for a couple minutes to really absorb the acids. Also I would recommend skipping the serums and night masks after this. Just use toner, eye cream, and moisturizer. Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser I mix a vitamin C serum in with my AHA every other morning. I’m undwerwhelmed with GLOW RECIPE - Pineapple-C Bright Serum I don’t hate it, but I think I can find better once I run out. However I love their GLOW RECIPE - Plum Plump Hyaluronic Acid Serum it is gentle enough (for my skin) to use every morning and night, and one pump is all you need! double cleansing is a must! I’ll just use the tiniest bit of GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm even when I’m not wearing makeup because it has a lot of good ingredients for your skin. However if your skin is feeling dry, I’d skip it and just use a water based cleanser. I am also underwhelmed with GLOW RECIPE - Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser I’m going to use it for before and after my workouts, but not worth the price point. Plus it is irritating if it gets in your eyes. I just ordered FARMACY - Whipped Greens: Oil-Free Foaming Cleanser With Moringa and Papayafor my morning and night cleanser and I am beyond excited to try it. a nice spray is a must! I use it after I cleanse and after I shower. J.R. WATKINS - Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray this stuff is soo good!! My face is so soft after I have to force myself not to touch it. I loved GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist but I got to say I like the Heritage one and it is wayy cheaper. don’t be afraid of supplements! I just got some vitamin E supplements and I’ve been taking magnesium and collagen everyday too. lastly look into anti-aging pillows and silk/satin pillowcases. This is especially important for side sleepers. If you sleep on your side, you are smushing your face against it. When you are young, your skin is elastic enough to bounce back, but you’re hurting your skin over time. YourFacePillow - Anti Wrinkle Back & Side Sleeping Pillow

Fall Essential: Murad Cleanser ✨
Fall Essential: Murad Cleanser ✨
Happy Water Shot Wednesday If you know me, then you know I love a great exfoliating product! With fall weather finally here, I’ve been looking for a product that doesn’t dry my skin out. Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser I got this beauty from Boxycharm, but it retails at $40 (yes steep I know) but I promise it’s worth it ! Key ingredients: This product is a physical and chemical cleanser all in one. Salicylic, Glycolic, and Lactic Acid: is this not the ultimate triple threat? This blend of acids sounded so irritating at first when I read it but it wasn’t harsh at all! Jojoba Beads: love to feel physical exfoliation. I wasn’t expecting the feel of beads. I was shocked, mostly because the packaging didn’t say anything. This was the most smooth feeling that left my skin feeling amazing. Sodium PCA: this is another humectant and the most important part of the hydration. This is found in human skin. It absorb water and moisture to your skin (kinda like hyaluronic acid). I used this every two days (morning time). I paired it with alpha arbutin+HA azelaic acid sunscreen. After I washed my face with this, my skin felt amazing! I also had a few breakouts on my forehead and cheek and this help clear it up. It didn’t have a smell and the consistency was great! I will definitely be purchasing once I run out of this.

My Favorite Exfoliating Products
My Favorite Exfoliating Products
I know a lot of ppl believe that physically exfoliating can harm the skin. However, I am not of those people. I like to use both Physical and Chemical exfoilants and believe they each have their own benefits as long as you’re using the correct products for your skin and nothing too harsh. Murad - AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser - This is my Holy Grail Exfoliating Cleanser. It’s has a blend Of salicylic, Lactic and Glycolic acid to polish away dull, dry skin without irritation. The “beads” in the product are very fine tiny jojoba beads which adds more moisture and hydration so my skin doesn’t dry out. It Reveals smoother texture and a brighter younger looking complexion. PETER THOMAS ROTH - Firmx Peeling Gel - I love to use the gel when my skin is feeling really sensitive but I still need it exfoliate. It doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals or Abrasive beads, it’s a light gel that you rub on your face and the dead skin literally rolls off! It contains Enzymes from fruit and Cellulose to effectively remove impurities and purify clogged pores. My skin is always super smooth after, this is perfect for someone with sensitive skin. JUICE BEAUTY - GREEN APPLE Peel Full Strength Exfoliating Mask - juice Beauty is a great organic, vegan, clean beauty brand that uses all natural ingredients. This peel I also have in the Sensitive Skin Version. It uses acids derived from fruits to give you a brighter complexion. It does have a thick texture and an odd smell, but for the benefits it’s worth it. Murad - Intensive-C Radiance Peel - This is a chemical peel that’s a Rich Gel cream with antioxidants, Glycolic acid and Indian Fig Extract refine skin by gently dissolving dead skin cells and improves texture and tone. Potent Vitamin C enhances radiance and luminosity. This product is definitely the strongest of the chemical peels I own but it really does brighten and reduce my pores.
