WOOOT! FIRST CHERIE VIDEO EYE TUTORIAL! Uploads have been coming in a little later in the day because videos take a WEEEEEE longer to make. 😊 This video has a lot of information packed into one minute! Be sure to pause, rewatch and pay close attention! I didn’t expose my camera correctly so the skin tones might look off but I promise that it won’t compromise the final results of what the shadow will look like in person! It will still look like the photo I previously posted of this look! The more pigment you place on your eye, the more it’ll show. This video shows the basic steps of what I did to create this look 😄 Feel free to ask me any extra questions if you get confused!! Used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette VISEART - Grande Pro 3 HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows in shade faux fur Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer

Best Beginner-Friendly Palette! ❤️
Best Beginner-Friendly Palette! ❤️
Yay! First B roll video to on Cherie celebrating 4.1k followers! Love you guys! ❤️ These are close up images of my ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette I made sure all the color swatches were represented well and are exactly what I see in person. Here’s why I think this palette is acceptable for Beginners! 1. Texture I’m a texture person I find that this palette is the perfect middle ground of what to look for in eyeshadows. You want something blendable, smooth, and maybe even a hair of fallout. Upon first use you’ll discover what good pigmentation is and how the amount you pick up with your desired tool will impact your final results. I don’t want you to have a less than superior experience with eyeshadows and then have you give up on trying to use one. It sucks when one experience just ruins everything else. If you have something too soft and powdery, it can emphasize your skin texture and possibly have difficulty in building the level of intensity on your skin. These shadows are more on the buttery without being squishy soft. Fallout isn’t bad because you’ll experience it with other palettes from time to time. I want you to experience just a little, because you can learn to adjust your technique or tools to handle it well. 2. Colors Colors aren’t scary! Even the bright ones! A lot of us aren’t comfortable with expressing bright colors. Some find that it can be difficult to be wearable. Here’s the thing...DO YOU GURL/GUY/EVERYONE INBETWEEN! No matter what kind of look you do, YOU 👏 WILL 👏 SLAY 👏 This palette is great for dipping your toes in the realm of light pastels and dark smoky hues. You’ll be able to do a multitude of looks and can mix the colors to create a special one of your own without any issues. I was able to create light everyday eye looks to super dark and dramatic ones! 3. Sensitivity I know some of you are really sensitive to certain pigments/formulations and I can’t say that this is the perfect one for ALL of you. However, I do have mild sensitivity when it comes to eyeshadows and they will get puffy if they don’t like the formulation. I am a contact lens wearer and I’ve used this palette many times to finally say that you’ll be okay! I haven’t gotten any odd reactions to this palette as well. However, do make sure that you are rinsing your contacts after putting on eyeshadow and place it back into your eyes. It’s just a matter of safety precautions just in case. Tip: Don’t put too much solution. Fill your contacts with just enough to fill the “well” of the contacts and use one finger to swirl the solution in to clean your contacts. The overflow from the impact of your finger should help clean the outside. Gently shake off the excess solution and place it back in your eye. I hope this helps give you some middle ground to start with. The key is to just start exploring and see what works for you ❤️ More to come on my eyeshadow collections! Song: Merry Bay by Ghostrifter

My fool proof routine for the perfect base!
My fool proof routine for the perfect base!
Forming a base routine can be so tricky, time consuming, and expensive! Especially with my combo skin! When I wear foundation this is the routine I follow. After my skincare has had a few minutes to soak in, I start with sunscreen! Sunscreen over long term use is going to help your skin look more even and bright! It’s so much easier to get the glass skin effect when you don’t have dark spots or an uneven tan. I’ve been using the LANCÔME - Absolue Premium BX Regenerating and Replenishing Care SPF 15 Skincare but there are certainly cheaper options out there! (I’m a big fan of the COOLA - Classic Face Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 50 ) Next, I spread the LANEIGE - Glowy Makeup Serum all over my face. It’s very emollient and spreads easily on the face without being oily, so I feel comfortable even using this around my t zone! Then I fill in my pores with the e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer Moving my finger in circular motions I apply this to my t zone: inner cheeks, center of the forehead and chin. This is typically when I would apply eyeshadow, but I only used one shade in my crease today to focus on the face. It’s the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette shades Love and Incense mixed. Then I move to the under eyes. I use the BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Corrector Because I am fair to light and have a pink - neutral undertone this works as a concealer for me! If you are yellow or strictly neutral this may not work for you! I use my finger to gently pat this on my under eye starting towards the inner corner and blending outward. Next is foundation. I use the AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender This is the best beauty blender dupe I’ve ever found and it’s only like $1. I pump two pumps of the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation on the back of my hand and start blending it out using a sponge. I do make sure to blend it on down my neck so I don’t get a foundation line. I am in the shade Ecru. Then I dip into my NATASHA DENONA - Diamond & Blush Palette . Still using the sponge, I blend the cream blush (top middle shade) into my cheeks starting at the top of my cheekbone towards the hairline. This helps prevent getting a lot of product in the middle of your face where we want to bring light! With my finger I blend the cream highlight (top left) over the blush at the very top of my cheekbone. I usually line this up with the outer corner of my eye. If you’re a bronzer person like me, you can apply bronzer using a fluffy brush to your temples, nose, and outer perimeter of your forehead. I use the BECCA - Sunlit Bronzer because it has a sheen that makes it look so natural! This is the shade Bronzed Bondi. I finish by dusting a light amount of the Coty Airspun Powder #cheriepartner

This Ingredient Makes Eyeshadow Expensive 😱

GUYS THIS PIGMENT IS CRAZY! GUESS WHAT ITS MADE OUT OF!!!!! 👏 BEETLES 👏 That’s right...SMUSHED AND GROUND UP BEETLES. It’s not just any beetle though! The red pigment have to come from this insect called the ‘Cochineal’. This pigment is called Carmine and it is located in paints, eyeshadows, lipsticks, and virtually anything that needs a specific type of red pigment that certain red dyes can’t pull off. This ingredient is one of the reasons some beauty brands can’t be vegan. An example of this is ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette Aside from the red hue, many formalists use this in their formula possibly to due the stability factors. Some alternatives to Carmine aren’t heat stable which can cause your precious lipstick, paint, or anything that requires heat to make to fall apart. There’s no going around decreasing the price for this stuff either. I’ve seen places that sell cosmetic grade Carmine for about $50 for ONE OZ. 😱 Carmine has always been naturally expensive and cause a palette to be 40-60 dollars vs drug store prices. It takes a lot of time/effort to extract this pigment from the beetles and turn into a cosmetic powder. You CANNOT use this by itself as it can be detrimental to your health if you inhale this. Your lungs are sensitive organs and if you get a little bit of something into them, you know it won’t be good news. On a first look, it is a really beautiful pigment. As I turn and shift the bag I received with the product in it, you can see how much dimension this red has. Depending on the angles you view it at and how the light hits it, you can see different hues resembling magenta, blood red, ruby red, pink undertones, etc. In the photo, you can see it up close as a deep red. Take a look at some of the beauty products you have in your beauty stash! Does yours have Carmine in it! :O

Feeling like a Euphoric Hippie 😆 + Tips
Feeling like a Euphoric Hippie 😆 + Tips
It took me....2 hours to come up with something and this was the result! 😆 I wanted to go for something soft, charming, but still has that pop of something. I love how the white eye show pops off this cool toned, purple-brown. Halloween is around the corner, so I thought it would be a great idea to give you all a couple tips if you want to incorporate something similar into your look. Here are a couple tips on gluing on those gold flecks! 1. LAAAAASH GLUE This is literally the EASIEST thing You could use for your application. I find lash glue much better on the skin for these guys than just regular Elmer’s glue/glue sticks. Gold flecks are typically very flimsy and it can be difficult to really get them to stay on your face. Take your lash glue and apply a needle-sized amount to your face. Take a tweezer and break up a couple gold flecks into various sized pieces. Proceed to use your tweezer to place it on top of the spot you glued. Be gentle with your application. The gold flecks are really fragile! 2. Watch Your Placement With larger, shinier particles, they’ll attract the attention of the eye to that area. Think of using these guys as you would with regular highlighter. The more you put in one area, the more your eye will gravitate towards looking at that spot. I placed the gold flecks around my eye area and super close to my nose, because it’ll take away the natural contours of my nose. In other words, you’re playing with shadows and lights when using gold flecks, crystals, etc. 3. Wash it all off with an Oil/Balm Based Makeup Remover. Once those gold flecks are on with some lash glue...THEY LAST FOREVER throughout the day. Use an oil based cleanser to remove everything and you should be fine. I use TATCHA - Pure One Step Camellia Oil Cleanser For this look I used: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette KINNO - Imitation Gold Leaf Schabin Flakes LASHIFY - AMPLIFY GOSSAMER LASHES C10 & C8 WAYNE GOSS - The Weightless Veil Blush Palette in Coral Rose 3CE - Velvet Lip Tint
