This Contour Wand is Impossible to Beat
This Contour Wand is Impossible to Beat
My face has a super round shape and because of that contouring is my best friend. It really helps give me a more 3D chiseled look for more depth and dimension. I remember when I first tried out contouring I hit the sephora stores to try out some looks. There are contour sticks, powder or in this case wands. Bippity Boppity Boo sisters. My target areas of application is my hairline and forehead area. This is to make my forehead not look so much like a fivehead. I also apply under my cheekbone and down to give me a lengthier face. I put on under my jawline to create darker shadows to make my face look slimmer. I never miss to put it on the sides of my nose and face for more slender features. The $38 contour wand comes in two shades only: light to medium medium to dark Before the review here are some contouring tips: 1. Choose the right shades! 2. Blend and blend well for natural finish 3. Don’t pile on too thick to prevent cake 🎂 4. Customize the contour for your face shape. The Contour Wand from Charlotte Tilbury is my hero. Contour sticks can seem just as easy as putting on but I was put off because I don’t feel certain that it will stay in place. Sometimes, I’m lazy to wear a primer and the Charlotte Tilbury - Hollywood Contour Wand makes it easy enough for my everyday make up looks. The applicator is a twist off style. Squeeze to see the lightweight and very blendable contour liquid. One little squeeze is enough for me and I dab lightly in all the areas I want to contour. At first glance, I thought the color was too dark on me but once blended, it’s the perfect shade to give my face definition and cheekbones. Use with a damp beauty blender and a brush to finish, it looks natural and stays on all day. Have you tried this product? If so, let me know what you think of it in the comments and thanks for reading!

This stuff will change your MAKEUP GAME Charlotte Tilbury - Hollywood Contour Wand Charlotte Tilbury - Beauty Highlighter Wand I’ve never been one for cream/liquid contour or highlight before, I usually stick to powder since it’s easier to work with. HOWEVER, these contour & highlight wands are fanatic. They are so easy to blend onto the skin. Okay, let’s break this down by product: Hollywood Contour Wand: As you can tell from the video above, the product goes on quite dark at first which can be quite intimidating, and as someone who does not use cream contour, I was kind of hesitant and nervous to use it. But I was happily surprised at how easy it blends into the skin. My one word of caution, do not let the product sit for too long. I would suggest doing one section on the face at a time like I did in the video above. I would not recommend placing the product all over the face and then blending, it may have dried too fast so it’s harder to manipulate. I usually set the product with a contour powder but very lightly and it gives the face the most beautiful bronzy look. Beauty Highlighter Wand: Just like the contour wand, the highlight wand is so easy to put on your face and blend in either with a sponge or your fingers. I have tried both of these application methods but not with a brush. The product by itself sets down quickly, just like the contour wand, so I would again recommend working quickly. Once it’s blended out, the product gives your skin a wet, glassy look that is absolutely stunning. It lasts all day and it made me feel like a glowing goddess. I even used this on a very light makeup day, aka simply spot concealed, brows, mascara, and this highlight. I used a very light hand when I did it this way and it still completed the whole look. It doesn’t necessarily have to be set with a powder highlight, but if you want that INTENSE highlight, you can go super lightly with a powder highlight over this product and it will be BLINDING and still last ALL DAY. Lastly, I would say for both of these not to put over powder. I know that is not usually customary, to put a cream product over powder, but I accidentally powdered first and wanted to see how it would look. It did NOT blend out the way it usually would. I blame the powder. The price point of this product is quite steep but I would 10/10 recommend, absolutely beautiful and will forever be a staple in my makeup collection!

This is my very first post and I have no idea what to write. Basically my name is Kayla and I’m 25 years old and I love makeup & skincare. I’m very picky when it comes to what I consider my holy grail products, but I love trying new things and sharing my thoughts and opinions! My favourite new products to try are foundations. I am THE MOST PICKY with foundations (as in I only have one in my collection currently) but I absolutely love trying new ones. I’m also extremely insecure and self conscious about taking selfies so 😬😬 also please don’t mind my eyebrows I can’t get them THREADED RIGHT NOW. ANYWAYS, that’s all I have for now, take care and stay safe!! 💕

This is a great formula, but the packaging sucks. First of all, I’ve had so much leak out of the applicator, especially when traveling. It gets super messy. There also isn’t as much in the tube to begin with as you’d expect. Probably not worth the price. Charlotte Tilbury - Hollywood Contour Wand

IM BRINGING THESE INTO 2020
IM BRINGING THESE INTO 2020
I love how effortlessly beautiful these products are- from the way the blend, build, and their pigment is strong but not overpowering. Charlotte Tilbury makes some of the best in the game. Her contour and highlight wands are easy to use, they blend out almost effortlessly- while expensive I would say they’re perfect for the beginner. Patrick Ta’s blush is a dream. The color is subtle but can be built up, gives the natural rosy look- and isn’t harsh for those who love blush on the nose
