The GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water is so much better over the original, it’s a lot less drying and sensitizing. great for dry & sensitive skin. I wish the bottles actually came in a bigger size because I feel like I go through these so quickly 😭 I like to shake my micellar water before squeezing onto a cotton pad, it actually gets a little more soapy and saves you more product that way. In all, I like this product and makes taking off makeup much easier without adding any sensitivity to my skin. Would buy again. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face did brighten and make my skin look more radiant, gently removed makeup, and helped get up some surface level plugs!! I wish this was thicker or more viscous so that it could further penetrate the skin and draw out more impurities. Though I do like this product and it does what the label says it does, I would prefer to buy a thicker oil cleanser. I really like a lot of Clinique’s Moisturizers, but I usually don’t want to pay full price, so i really like going for the minis that this brand has available. TheCLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ is usually my go to under makeup, on cold days or on the go. it has really helped with barrier repair & is dry combo & sensitive skin friendly!!🧖🏾♀️ it slips on easy, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily feeling. no parabens, sulfates, denatured alcohol or fragrance. 🌱Will definitely stock up on some more soon 🧴

Say no to Clinique ID + pore minimize
I was super excited when Clinique first announced the new Clinique ID - getting to customize their famous dramatically different lotion to your desired needs. I have gone through bottles of the lotion itself - it works great for my skin, giving me the right amount of hydration. I decided to go with the pore cartridge because I wanted to minimize the size of my pores and hopes to control my oils around my t-zone area. This product broke me out so bad !! It might of been the ingredients inside the pore cartridge because my face was so red, breaking out and inflamed! It was such a huge let down because I had high hopes for this! I do not recommend this product and it is not worth the money. I only rate it one star. It takes 10+ pumps in before the cartridge serum starts coming out with the lotion - which is quite a let down also because you’re basically just applying the lotion itself on your face without the treatment. Finally creating an actual skincare routine
I’m somewhat new to skincare. For the longest time I had the clearest skin but after college I started to get hormonal acne and some skin texture issues. Morning: Cleanser- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin. I just got it a few days ago and so far I like it! Prior to this I was using Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser (which I still keep in my shower for after working out-this cleans my skin well but isn’t anything crazy special) Next: CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion - I really like this!! It’s absorbs quick and isn’t drying, often these types of products make my skin a little itchy but not this one! (I still use PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator but I do this every other day in the evening, it makes my skin very sensitive but it does work well) Spot Treatment: CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel - I’ve been using this for 2 weeks and I love it!! I notice a difference in any new breakouts, it stops them right in their tracks. Feels great too and soaks in nicely. Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - trusty product that I will always use. I’m now adding in bareMinerals - Skinlongevity Long Life Herb Serumto help with my skin appearance and fine lines (~2 weeks of use and so far I like it, it’s hydrating and soaks into the skin. There’s a light scent that I don’t mind either) Moisturizer: CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+- using for 2 weeks and I really it! It’s gel based so it’s absorbs right into the skin. I don’t like heavy moisturizers because they make me oily, so this one is great! Keeps my skin happy even in the colder weather! Nighttime: Same cleanser as morning Same clarifying lotion/exfoliate as mentioned in morning, and same spot treatment Moisturizer: NEW unreleased bareMinerals Ageless Phyto-Retinol Face Cream. I got a full size product for free during a featured event, I believe this will retail for around $62 and be released in the new year. I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and my skin seems to be liking it! It’s a thicker cream so I prefer it only at night. There is a somewhat strong perfume-like scent which I don’t normally mind, but if I use my PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator prior to the cream, it does make my skin a little tingly/itchy. I like that it’s a plant based “retinol” and is less harsh on the skin. Hoping this one works out! Other products: The Ordinary - Retinol 0.5% in Squalane- Bought this prior to getting the bareMinerals Phyto-Retinol Cream. I haven’t tried it yet so no review. Not sure where to add this to my routine if/when I decide to use it. Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum- I got this before my breakouts but haven’t used it since, might try to add

Should I Mix SPF Into Moisturizer?
If I ever have to pick just one skincare product, it would be a good sunscreen. It is the hottest period of the year where we get more sun exposure, even if most of us are staying indoors now. We are also spending more time on our computer screens on mobile devices which can emit blue light that could cause pigmentation in the long run. A good sunsceen is a top effective method to protect the skin from harmful sun ways and environmental factors, which can lead to premature signs of aging. Given its importance, SPF can be layered over any skincare ingredient, thankfully. If you think you can skip sunscreen just because you’re indoors all day, please reconsider that (see my other review on sunscreens for combination skin). Sunscreen can (and should) be used as the last step of your morning skincare routine, regardless of your skin type. As the summer sun can be harsher, especially since I work next to a window, I make sure that I reapply sunscreen on my face every there hours. Just be sure to pick a sunscreen that best suits your skin type. I only use sunscreen during the day, and when I do, I pick a moisturizer that is both moisturizing but lightweight at the same time. My usual morning sunscreen is CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+, a god-send for my dry combination skin. With key ingredients such as sunflower seed cake, barley extract and cucumber fruit extract in the formula, the lotion slips on easily and absorbs quickly into my skin, leaving a youthful glow. It also makes it easy for me to layer on my sunscreen afterwards. The Murad sunscreen is a star product – 100% mineral SPF that defends the skin from UVA, UVB, blue light, pollution and infrared radiation. Suitable for all skin types, it slides on easily on moisturized face and leaves a rosy glow thanks to the soft peach tint that helps color correct to immediately boost radiance. There is just a tip: do not mix sunscreen directly with your moisturizer or make-up products and apply as one product. Sunscreen should be used as a single layer on the face to preserve the protection factors of the formula.

For Combo Skin! You Don't Need To Deal With Each Problem Separately!💯💯
Having combination skin can sometimes feels hard because skin issues feel like a double blow. Half of my face is feels tight and dry like a dessert while the other half (slash T-zone) is oily and prone to breakouts, espcially on the forehead and chin. Instead of using two separate products to tackle both skin concerns, I've broken down my skincare to a simple routine that includes an all-rounder moisturizer to combat both issues. The first moisturizer that I recommend is my favorite, CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+. Although I switch between different brands, I find myself going back to this one if I need to fall back on a suitable moisturizer for my skin. This formula is best for oily combination or oily skin types, hence it is perfect for me to use all over the face and neck during warmer months or coupled with a strong serum in winter. I can spread the oil-free lightweight lotion across my face easily without it feeling too greasy (even on my T-zone) and my skin absorbs it really quickly too. Its natural ingredients keep my skin moisturized without feeling oily for the whole day or night. The other moisturizer I recommend may come as a surprise for a few -POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream. I originally bought this cream at a drugstore as I desperately needed a cheap and simple cream that day but it has now become a staple on my bathroom counter. The rich creamy formula absorbs into the skin easily, and locks in moisture all day without feeling too oily. I use the Clinique lotion the first time I wash my face in the morning., and then apply Ponds cream after a work-out shower (I work out twice a day). As it is so reasonably priced, I don’t feel bad with using this too much. Using the mix of moisturizers allow my skin to feel fresh, and most importantly, achive the right balance of hydration and oil control.

My Secret To Clean Skin!
Step 1: Drink a glass of warm water with lemon A rich source of vitamin C, lemon contains immense health benefits ranging from its antibacterial properties to its immune boosting abilities. Lemon juice acts as a digestive agent and helps in cleansing the liver for better digestive health. I add two slices of fresh lemon to a cup of warm water in the morning for a detoxifying boost, and I continue to sip this mug throughout my morning. Step 2: Wash face with a gentle cleanser and cold water A clean face is as important in the day as it is in the evening. I use a gentle face cleanser, depending on my skin concerns at the moment. For combination skin, I recommend the Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Hydrating Cleanser that won’t strip your skin of its essential moisture. Unlike usual foaming cleansers, this cleanser formula is gel like and ensures that my skin is clean yet moisturized for the next step. Step 3: Tone and moisturize Toning the face after cleansing helps to minimize the appearance of pores, and also balances the skin's pH levels. This is an important step that I won’t ever miss. I like how my skin is purified and ready to absorb nutrients from any moisturizer that I apply on later. For moisturizers, my favorite is CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ that feels rich yet silky smooth on my skin. Step 4: Depuff face with face roller This is my secret for a firmer and tighter looking face contour. After using toner and applying moisturizer to my cleansed skin, I use my ReFa - Carat Ray on my face for about 5 minutes. Massaging with a face roller aids to boost blood circulation to the face and neck area which helps to improve skin tone and texture over time. Check out my detailed review of the face roller in another post. Step 5: Apply sunscreen I NEVER skip sunscreen in my morning beauty routine, even if I am staying indoors all day. I switch between two brands - Murad - City Skin Age Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 50 / PA++++ and NNeutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Suncreen, SPF 45, which is very reasonably priced and available in most drugstores. I carefully apply a thin layer of sunscreen all over my moisturized face, not forgetting areas that are easy to miss, such as my chin, neck and ears.
