HOW TO: wake up looking like a glazed donut ✨
HOW TO: wake up looking like a glazed donut ✨
GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment Contains 10% (Glycolic Acid) AHA+ BHA. This is the second product I’m testing from Good Molecules and I’m loving it already. This is my first experience with a leave-on “sleep mask” version of glycolic acid (the smallest form of AHA). And seriously people, I WOKE UP GLOWING IN A GOOD WAY. I wanted to chuck all my glossier products out the window and triumphantly announce that I solved the glowy but not oily skin look that no makeup has ever done for me. I have a few layering tweaks I wanted to share for those looking to add this step into your routine! TLDR; pore-shrunken glazed 🍩 look for $6. scroll down for layering steps. 😅 Conceptually, incorporating a GA solution into my night routine 2-3x per week is the best way to use GA without drastically changing my current ritual. While glycolic acid toners work have worked great as well, I notice my skin is way more sensitized throughout the day and susceptible to sun damage. I just don’t want to run the risk of forgetting to reapply sunscreen ☀️ every few hours, you know? Especially if you have dry/combo skin, the following layering technique may be of use to you. Starting with dry or freshly cleansed skin I add: (1) Any hydrating toner. I used the niacinamide toner from Good Molecules but if you have sensitive skin I’d opt for one without vitamin C or other actives. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner I'm from - Rice Toner dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner (2) Any mild peptide serum or essence. But no crazy actives like retinol or the true form of vitamin C ascorbic acid (I used one with the SAP derivative which was ok). If you normally add oils to this step, I would skip until the end. An oil ester like jojoba oil may be okay. Bottom line is to use something your skin finds familiar but comforting. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum (3) THE Glycolic Acid/AHA-containing treatment. Feels like thick serum. I used one droppers’ worth, going heavier on my t-zone. This one from Good Molecules contains Glycerin, HA, and Butylene Glycol, gold standard humectants that need more moisture to lock in its hydrating benefits!! Especially if you just used another hylauronic acid-containing serum in the previous step, the treatment as a final step can leave you feeling dry. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment (4) Wait 3-5 min to add a gel moisturizer or hydrating spray-on mist. Feed those humectants! Really anything works here. I used MUJI’s all-in-one essence. I just wouldn’t go too creamy or heavy. VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream dear, klairs - Fundamental Ampule Mist The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Lmk if you try this! Cheers to looking like a glazed donut 🥂

Here’s a round up of a few K B
Here’s a round up of a few K Beauty things I’ve been playing with... . ▪️Skin Food Royal Honey Propolis Enrich Toner—A creamy almost emulsion more than toner with propolis, royal jelly, honey, lactobacillus & yeast. I love that it’s not heavily scented but I’m not a huge emulsion style fan so I wasn’t into it ▪️Whamisa Organic Deep Rich Toner—Love this thicker hydrating essence style toner. Aloe, galactomyces, oat kernel, avocado oil, glycerin, peony and broccoli to name a few. This stuff is amazing. This is not my first bottle. Hall of fame ▪️CosRX Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser—Jelly gel style simple gentle cleanser with a low pH. It’s affordable and a pretty good one. Non-drying and fragrance free. I would totally repurchase ▪️Klairs Supple Preparation Toner—Aloe, sodium hyaluronate, gotu kola, beta-glucan, panthenol & purslane. I liked this one. Got some EOs but they do have a fragrance free version as well ▪️Manyo Factory Galactomyces Special Treatment Essence Cream Rich—I love this brand. They’re pretty clean for k beauty and have a really good range. Easily one of my fav k beauty brands. This cream was so lush I loved it. Sadly it’s taken off the site so it’s either gone or being reformulated. I order direct from their website as they have the full range ▪️CosRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask—I wanted to love this. It’s a gel with propolis (87% antibacterial & anti-inflammatory), sodium hyaluronate & adenosine. It’s light so it’s not the most hydrating sleeping mask I’d probably just use a propolis serum instead and get the same effect ▪️IUINK Centella Calming Gel Cream—A gel cream with soothing gotu kola water & tea tree water. It’s fragrance free which I love. It’s nice and I’ll use it up but I think I’ll just go serum route next time for my gotu kola. Personal preference is all ▪️IUNIK Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask—A bit thicker and more of a creamy gel than the CosRX with propolis (16%), sea buckthorn fruit (8%), gotu kola (5%), niacinimide, beta glucan & purslane. This one is more hydrating. Has a bit of that silicone texture. It’s was OK but not my favorite sleeping mask ever

Rich Moist Soothing Serum - ma
Rich Moist Soothing Serum - made to relieve sensitive skin, this will fully hydrate and replenish your skin’s moisture levels while keeping it glowing throughout the day. The formula was recently upgraded so it absorbs faster, with it’s cooling features — you will definitely feel refreshed with just a pump of this serum! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Supple Preparation Toner (travel size) - I’ve been using the unscented one for a few months and have been thoroughly enjoying it so I knew even before trying this that I would like it. I‘d say a cult favorite in the K-beauty industry, this toner is formulated with a base of botanical extracts to revitalize the skin and balance the it’s pH level. I think I prefer this over the unscented one just because I like my products to have at least some sort of scent to make it like an experience (and not like I’m just splashing water to my face — but that’s just me). I do know that people with sensitive skin were irritated to this version due to the essential oils so if that’s something that you also have problems with then you can just use the second version. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Toner Mate 2 in 1 Cotton Pad - First off, the compressed pads (my fave!), made up of 100% pure cotton that’s flattened 5 times with a process they call the waterjet. Best used for removing make-up with a cleansing water (the only reason I use pads). Next up are the sponge pads, which helps decrease the amount of product you use as it doesn’t absorb any (unlike other cotton pads). Helps effectively deliver all the goodness of your product directly onto your skin, no waste

✨Klairs Supple preparation ton
✨Klairs Supple preparation toner: My HG toner, not my first bottle and will not be my last. Will repurchase but I want to use up what is in my stash and then follow 1 empty 1 new policy for everything skincare 🤞🏽 ✨Brooklyn Botany Vitamin C Serum: I have not used it up, it oxidized in less than 2 months. I want to try maeloveskincare glow maker next. Will not repurchase. ✨iUnik Black Snail Serum: I do like this serum,  but I love Cosrx Snail Essence more because that was my first Kbeauty product. Might repurchase. ✨ bywishtrend 5% Mandelic Acid Toner: I was not aware that I have a backup of this toner (happens if you have a ridiculous stash like mine) .

Do you guys have an area of yo
Do you guys have an area of your face that needs more moisture than others? For me my forehead is the most dehydrated part of my face and the area where I have the most fine (and not so fine) lines, thanks to years of sun damage and what my husband tells me are my very expressive facial expressions 🤷. It needs more watery hydration than the rest of my face, so lately I've been doing forehead masks almost every night if I'm not using a sheet mask! I love the whiterabbit cotton pads for this as they unfold into a larger sheet, and they're thin, so they don't absorb too much of the product. Then I soak it with my favorite toner or a mixture of a few just for fun (the Klairs Supple Preparation Toner works well because it absorbs well but also doesn't evaporate instantly) and apply it to my forehead for 10+ minutes (it actually sticks well enough I can go do other stuff around the house).

Klair’s Supple Preparation Toner for Dry Skin
Klair’s Supple Preparation Toner for Dry Skin
This toner is non-irritating and is the most hydrating toner I’ve tried. It balances and maintains the skin’s pH to optimize the absorption of all your other skin products that you apply in your skincare regime. It’s clear and has a really slippery consistency that gives a glowy effect to the face. I never really used toners before this but I feel like it really does tone the skin. I’ve used this toner for a year and a half and here are my thoughts: My Experience I decided to try this because I’ve never used a toner before and thought it might make a difference to my skin. I actually really like this product as it’s moisturizing and feels amazing when I put it on. I think it does a good job of prepping the skin too as I hate putting serums and stuff on my face when it’s dry. I feel like they don't soak in well enough but this makes a huge difference. Overall Thoughts I love this toner and feel like it’d be great for those with any skin type but specific those with dry skin looking for something to give an extra boost of hydration. It’s priced at $22, which is about midway as a price for a toner but the lack of alcohol and good ingredients makes it worth it. dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner
