makeup that I can’t live without: bronzer
A couple makeup items I can’t live without is a brow filler, mascara, and bronzer. I’ve been blessed in the way that, besides a couple of minor blemishes (and some major blemishes once every couple of years), I don’t really have major issues that I need to cover up with lots of foundation and concealer, so one of the main makeup items I feel like I can’t live without is bronzer. Bronzer is used to give the skin a subtle glow, and since I usually wake up looking pale and colorless, I like to add bronzer to my bare face to add some color. No matter the occasion, no matter the day, I like to apply bronzer really quickly to add a glow. My skin tone changes with the seasons, as the amount of sun that I get changes depending on the season, so I have a couple of bronzers that complement my changing skin tone throughout the year. Honestly, I’ve only ever used these two brands but they’re both so amazing that I don’t really feel the need to try other brands. And these last SOOO long because you really only need a little bit to give yourself that color. Besides using these to color my cheek bones, I like to blend this onto my eyelids to give a warm, monochromatic look. Using these products as 2-in-1 products is super helpful. Bobbi Brown was my first real makeup brand, so of course I have loyalty to them. But in all honesty, their products are so versatile, pigmented, and easy to use, so of course I would love them even more. They are a bit pricey, with theBOBBI BROWN - BOBBI BROWN Bronzing Powder coming to $44, but like I said it has multiple uses and it lasts forever. I’ve had mine for at least 6 years and it’s still not used up yet! Bobbi Brown is all about enhancing your natural beauty rather than covering it all up, and I feel like this product does just that. This is a matte bronzing powder so it’s perfect if you’d like a more matte look. I use this pretty much all over my face (very lightly) and I find it helps blur my pores. Another brand I’ve come to learn about is Physician’s Formula. This is a drugstore brand where the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer ranges from $5-$16 depending where you buy it from. As the name suggests, it’s a buttery bronzer that glides onto your skin, moisturizing it while it gives you that color. It has a more pearlescent quality to it than the Bobbi Brown one, so it’s perfect for a more dewy and illuminating look. Again, I use this on my eyelids for some natural color, and I use it lightly all over my face add color all over. It has a very tropical scent (coconut-ey) that isn’t overpowering but reminds me of vacationing in Hawaii or in the Caribbean, and it doesn’t irritate my skin. It’s really the perfect bronzer for any kind of occasion! What are your thoughts about bronzer?

LET’S TALK BRONZER: Give me glow all year round!
Want to achieve a bronzy glow all year long? Keep reading! Bronzer is a great product that gives you that vacay glow! It comes in many forms but all give you that beautiful bronze. However, if you’ve never used this product before, there is a potential to go overboard and you’ll end up like a new cast member of the Jersey Shore show. (No shade at all! LOVE THE JERSEY SHORE! But the overuse of bronzer makes them all look like Oompa Loompas.) I’m going to give you the 411 on the types , how to apply them and which ones I think are the best. Make sure you cheer and follow me for more tips and tricks! Types: Powder: most typical and most beginner friendly. However be aware of the undertones! If you don’t pick the right one that matches your undertones, it will be an orangey mess. Use a big dome like bronzer brush like the MORPHE - E59 Tapered Bronzer Brushfor a nice diffused look. Of course, everyone knows the “3” bronzer application where you basically blend the bronzer on your face in a formation like the shape of the no 3. Cream/Stick: very natural looking and little bit intermediate. Best applied and blended out using a beauty blender. Pick up the product from the balm or stick using the blender and then applying it directly to the face with the blender. I wouldn’t necessarily apply this following the no 3 shape. I would focus this product on the perimeters of my face and blend using a damp beauty blender. Liquid: I have never used this form of bronzer before. It’s definitely something that I never though existed until I did my bronzer research. I would assume you would apply this like a cream bronzer. But lmk in the comments if you’ve ever used a liquid bronzer before. I’ll add your insights to my post and tag you in it. 😄 Best of the best: Powder: I think I’ve done a post on both of these but I love the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzerand the benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer. Both give wonderful diffused bronze glows and won’t give you a orangey look. Cream/Stick: The most recognizable cream bronzer would have to be the CHANEL - SOLEIL TAN DE Bronzing Makeup Base. Everyone who has it raves about it. But a $50.00 price tag is not for everyone. So thankfully #Sol body - Bronzing balm[products]#has been rumored to be a great more affordable dupe for the Chanel counterpart. It’s about $15.00 but Colourpop is having a sale right now so you can get it for 30% off. Liquid: Like I said before, I’ve never used this type of bronzer. But after doing some research bareMinerals - barePro Glow Liquid Bronzercame up when I was trolling Ulta. It has 4/5 ⭐️ on Ulta. It seems promising but I couldn’t tell you from experience of this is bomb or not. Hopefully someone in the comments will speak on liquid bronzers. Hope this was helpful! I love talking about makeup products and simplifying them as it can be overwhelming. Until tomorrow, Xoxo 💋 #CherieCreator

BATTLE OF THE DUPES PT.6: VACAY GLOW BRONZER 💫
PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer VS. benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer For my 6th battle of the dupes, I am putting these two classic bronzers through my dupe tests to see which bronzer will remain supreme. I’ll test them on the product aka the blendability, price and packaging. At the end, I will tell you which one is the best. But first, make sure you cheer and follow me! Product: Going to start off positive. Both bronzers are very blendable. Both are pigmented. But with my experience the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzeris more suited for a overall bronze warmth of the face whereas benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzeris very versatile and I use it for both bronzing and contouring due to the matte of it. The color options between the two are very different. At first the benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzerwas marketed as “universal” and honestly, no. This is not a universal bronzer and I’m glad they realized that. They “expanded” the shade range however IT DEFINITELY CAN BE BETTER! Three shades is not enough and that’s where PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzeris much better. The shade range is much more extensive and I feel as a POC that POC are better represented in this product than the benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer. Winner: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer: POC are much better represented with the shade range. Packaging: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzerhas a coconut smell but my big bronzer brush can pick up more product. benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzeris odorless but the square packing doesn’t allow me to pick up product. Winner: benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer, I can’t stand the coconut smell. 😳 Price: Obviously the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzeris cheaper than the benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer. The benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzeris $30.00 whereas the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzeris $15.99. Winner: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer: duh. 🤷🏻♀️ Overall: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer: this is the better product overall. Price wise, product wise and packaging. However I do use benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzerthis more as a contour. Hope y’all enjoyed battle of the dupes pt. 6! Lmk in the comments below what dupes I should test next! Until tomorrow, Xoxo 💋 #CheriePartner #CherieCreator
