I grew my hair long and strong
I was always a heat styling person, I never embraced my natural curly hair and I always used to flat iron them my whole life. Until back in November I stopped using heat styling tools, especially flat iron and my hair is this long now!! My hair always grow fast, and genetically I know my hair can grow knee length. My mom had very long, luscious hair in her teenage and I got that inherited in me. Blessed! 😊 But seriously, what can help hair grow longer and healthier?? I believe the following tips and products can help: 1. Eliminate heat styling as much as you can. This is the first step in finally focusing and be able to invest your time and money in reversing the damage. 2. If you have curly/wavy textured, coarsed hair... start embracing it. It's okay to not have flat managed hair all the time. You can always use some nourishing oil like Moroccan oil to tame the frizz. 3. Incorporate Fatty acids,Omega and Vitamin E in your food. Fish is a great option but if you're vegan/vegetarian, Greens, whole grains and fruits are great option. 4. Maintain your hormonal levels with diet and light exercise. I'm not pointing out towards not eating junk (which I adore myself) and not exercising daily. Just a little for you to feel good is enough😊✨ 5. Use nourishing hair oils and masks to pamper your hair weekly. 6. Last but not the least, use gentle products that will help you with your desired hair texture and finish. I'm listing down the products I've neen enjoying and they're really helping me maintain my waves and curls so that I don't feel the need to heat style my hair often 👍 Also these products are my Holy grails now, they're very affordable and work amazing for curly and wavy hair types💖✨ @cantubeauty Shea butter Shampoo and Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Hydrating Cream Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Cleansing Cream Shampoo @cantubeauty Define and shine custard cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Define & Shine Custard @pacificabeauty Pineapple Curls shampoo PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo @igkhair Mistress hydrating hair balm IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm @thedrybar Prep rally detangler drybar - Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler @aveda Damage remedy daily hair repair AVEDA - Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair AG hair care Fast food moisture leave on conditioner AG hair - Moisture Fast Food Leave-On Conditioner

My ever-fluffy, dry hair is permanently in need of control and hydration, and one of the tools in my arsenal is the IGK Hair Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm. This leave-in conditioning balm has a slight silicone feel on the hands (which makes sense as it does contain silicones), but absorbs quickly, leaving hair soft and with a subtle sheen. It also smells lovely- with the nourishing additions of coconut oil, shea butter and argan oil lending a summery, warm scent. In terms of hydration, I have lots of very fine, dry hair and my highlights addiction means I need a lot of moisture. While I do find Mistress quite hydrating, for me its strength lies more in its ability to add control and shine while reducing frizz. For those with less damaged hair, however, I suspect this would be very moisturising on its own. As an added bonus, the balm’s bright and sunny packaging makes it a welcome addition to my bedside table collection. Plus points: Controls frizz. Adds softness and slight shine. Smells gorgeous. Vegan. Parabens, sulphates and mineral oil free. Provides UV and heat protection Minuses: Not overly hydrating on my very dry, damaged hair but would probably work well for hair in better condition.

I have way too many samples... I’ll start with the ones I can truly give a solid review on because I’ve tried them several times, but we’ll get through them all together eventually🥰 Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream This cream has a great complex of ceramides, & helped my friends dry skin patches from psoriasis... but the very strong herbal smell I think from the sage oil is way too much for me. I can’t use it because I get nauseous. PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream Didn’t like this personally... I really wanted it to smell like matcha 🍵it’s one of my favorite scents, but this smells very citrusy & turns into a kinda yucky dirt smell... Texture is very nice but it kind of made burning/itching sensations. DIOR - Capture Dreamskin Care & Perfect One of Dior’s more expensive products, & it sucks. Smells like old lady lotion in the worst of ways & is basically a very greasy primer with a bit of peachy shimmer in it. I had a lot of these at one point, tried to find a use—-Major pass. IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm 🥥I love this! Great texture, a completely non-greasy, lightweight, matte gel that doesn’t weigh down my hair at all. It slicked down flyaways & broken hairs by my part really well & gave subtle natural definition to my waves. I would definitely consider buying the full size, it’s vegan, cruelty free, gluten free & free of petroleum products, sulfates & parabens. Great light scent that’s hard to put my finger on but reminds of a fancy salon. Milk MAKEUP - Sunshine Oil This was very thin, runny & hard to control. It has a very simple natural ingredients list, with grape seed & avocado oils as the first 2 ingredients, but It’s also full of citrus oils like grapefruit peel, tangerine peel, mandarin peel & lemon peel oil. There’s not much else in it, & it really irritated my skin unfortunately. Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating Treatment This lactic acid & papaya enzyme based exfoliating treatment creates nice temporary results for me. My skin is very smooth after & with no redness, however, even after layers of hydration my skin is still so dry. I can see my skin drink up my essence & serum like never before & I struggle to get hydration back. I checked the ingredients & it has denatured alcohol! Yikes🧐 BITE - Agave+ Weekly Vegan Lip Scrub A great natural lip scrub. It smells wonderful like something caramelized & delicious. But I’d prefer a bit more exfoliant. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Aqua XL Color Paint Shadow shade: M56 This is waterproof af, check my swatches. Blended nicely but do it fast lol, dries to a powdery finish. This would probably make great eyeliner if you’re steady with a brush! 💕Kehlani looks stunning! ANNA SUI - Fantasia Mermaid Eau de Toilette Smells like Christmas time at stores? I like it😂

Managing Dry Ends ✨
Back before I chopped my hair off it was very damaged, especially at the ends. It was dry, frizzy, and all around a pain to deal with and look at. This is where IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm came in to save the day. I want to say I have naturally wavy hair that has dealt with years of heat damage, color damage, and is very thick. IGK (which is hands down my favorite hair care brand) claims this hydrating balm conditions the hair without weighing it down. For $29 you get 5 oz of products (I have a sample size of it). It contains: coconut oil to nourish and strengthen shea butter to add moisture argan oil to nourish and strengthen This really brought the moisture back to the ends of my curls. I usually used this on days when I wanted to wear my hair natural and I would distribute a little bit into the ends while it air dried. It’s a very lightweight balm that melts into the hair. I would only use this in my ends because of all the oils it has. It didn’t weigh them down or make them feel greasy. It has a nice fragrance to it but it isn’t too strong which I enjoyed because some hair products I own can definitely give me a headache. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a leave in product to hydrate any dry, damaged ends. #CheriePartner

IGK; Mini brand review
I did a little mini brand review on The Ordinary and I kind of wanted to start making it a series of brands I’ve tried a lot of. My favorite hair care brand hands down, aesthetically and performance wise, is IGK. This is really just a quick review of all the products. If you have in depth questions please ask 🖤 IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo - Hands down favorite product by the brand. Completely worth the $27. I can have week old, greasy hair and this turns it into “just washed” looking. I’ve had customers shocked that my hair wasn’t just washed when I use this. But it is a heavy duty dry shampoo. You can definitely feel it in your hair if you run your fingers in but it leaves no white caste once you work it into the hair. IGK - Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Anti-Frizz Smoothing Spray - I don’t heat style my hair without this. It acts as a best protectant, anti-frizz serum, and a smoothing treatment. It smells amazing and leaves my hair so soft and sleek after heat styling. IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm - it does contain coconut oil so I only use this near my ends. It has a gel balm consistency that doesn’t weigh your hair down or make it feel greasy. If you have dry ends I highly recommend. It adds a lot of hydration back in! IGK - Beach Club Volume Texture Spray - Yes! If you have a hard time getting texture to your hair this product will work great for you. Sometimes I’ll spray some at the roots if I need a little bit of volume or directly into my curls to scrunch them up a little bit. It smells amazing!! Like a beachy dream. It’s not sticky for me but you can definitely go overboard so be aware. IGK - Trust Issues Instant Scalp Rebalancing Treatment - I got this on sale because I suffer from eczema and I can have itchy scalp every once and a while and this really did nothing. I liked the cooling sensation on the scalp but it did nothing to relieve the itch like it claimed. Not worth the sale price none the less $28. IGK - Crybaby Anti-Frizz Smoothing Serum - I got this because DupeThat recommend those and I find myself never using it. It’s just your run of the mill hair serum. I have wavy, thick, and frizzy hair and it did nothing for my frizz. It was just an extra product I added to my routine I didn’t need. The bottle is cute though.. IGK - Laid Back Defrizz and Anti-Static Spray - Also did nothing for my frizz.. I got it at Marshall’s so I’m not mad but they have better products #IGK - Sold Out[products]#[FourStars] - I love using this when I know I’m going to want to wear my natural wavy curls the next day. I spray it on my hair when it’s wet, scrunch it up, and I notice in the morning they are a lot more defined. I don’t think they sell it anymore but if you can find it for a good price and you have natural curls I think it’s worth checking out.

The cool girl party hairstyle!
Hi!! Today I’m sharing my go-to cool girl party hairstyle!! I’m a huge fan of braids and these two Dutch braids are my perfect look for any late-night gathering! I love it because it’s relatively easy to do, and stays intact for a night of dancing or jumping around! My hair type: slightly dry, colored black hair. Thick, needs lots of product to look sleek and reduce frizz! Steps: 1. Brush hair, use some sort of volumizing product IF your hair is getting greasy or weighed down. This style definitely looks best on hair that has some texture or wave to it, so feel free to use a quick curling iron if necessary! 2. Part hair in the middle, and start a small Dutch braid on one side of the part. 3. Continue to gather small pieces of hair into the 3 strands, and once you reach the back of the crown, tie off with a small hairtie. 4. Repeat on the other side! 5. Use a hair balm/gel to smooth down any flyaways at the top of your braids, or leave them messy for a more lived-in look. 6. Use a wave spray or texture spray to add more definition to your hair and create a more undone look! No need to be sleek and polished for a party! Products used: OUAI - Wave Spray I use this product to add gentle texture to my hair at the very end! A few sprays on either side of my head is more than enough to do the trick IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm I love this balm for taming flyaways, like I show here, or running it through damp hair for extra hydration. #cheriecreator #cheriepartner
