Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder
Why It's SpecialThanks to the nourishing, antioxidant-packed formula, this powder ensures that skin feels like skin, not makeup.
What It DoesSetting powders are notorious for leaving skin with a thick, chalky residue that's almost too matte. But since this one is free of talc, it'll cut shine without cutting your glow. On top of that, the added avocado powder and hyaluronic acid will keep it from settling into fine lines while locking makeup into place.
What It IsA setting powder that is silicone-free, talc-free, and absorbs oil to reduce shine and leave makeup locked in place.
What Else You Need to KnowThis translucent formula becomes a second skin without settling into fine lines: no cakiness, chalky cast, or flashback. It is formulated with powder-filled, blurring microspheres to blur the look of pores, imperfections, and fine lines and create a soft-focus effect. It also contains avocado powder and hyaluronic acid to help smooth skin.

<10 minute morning makeup
🌸 this is my entire morning make up routine that I do every day. I’ve never actually timed it before and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was less than 10 minutes! 🌸 my skin - oily and acne prone - my look: natural and fresh, good an camera 🌸 products and steps 1) primer Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 an amazing primer and SPF that fills in pores 2) brow 1 GRANDE COSMETICS - Grandebrow-Fill Volumizing Brow Gel With Fibers & Peptides i use this as a primer before I put on any brow color, and give it some time to dry. I think it helps grow my brows and strengthen them 3) concealer SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear and Cover Acne Treatment Cream Concealer with 2% Salicylic Acid this is my holy Grail of concealers, it has an active ingredient in salicylic acid in order to kill active acne, and the color pigment is so good and it blends perfectly with my skin. I will totally re-purchase this after this one runs out. The shade I use is honey. because I don’t use foundation, this is the most important step in my routine. conceal and correct! 4) set Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder I like this setting powder so much that I have bought it three times now. It has a little bit of Tint So it covers up anything that my concealer doesn’t get, and it literally blurs and mattifies your skin for the whole day. there’s no shine, no breakouts, and it makes my skin look good!! 5) brow 2 ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel I like this product because it is similar to benefits gimme brow, but this one has a lot more product for the same price. The one caveat I would say is that you have to get it in a color that’s lighter than normal, because the brush deposits a lot! 6) mascara primer LANCÔME - CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base this mascara primer has allowed my lashes to grow a lot longer by both protecting them from mascara products, and adding hair enriching nutrients 7) mascara COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara I absolutely adore the way that this mascara holds a curl, and I think I’ll probably get again 8) setting spray URBAN DECAY - Full Size All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Duo if you don’t already on this, you should get it. i’ve been using this setting spray for years and it is the only thing that keeps my make up totally in place throughout the whole day. I have really oily skin and so make it tends to slide, but this keeps it from moving. And it keeps it from sticking to my mask! i’ve put mine into a different bottle that I like because it sprays better, but I also have THREE MORE BOTTLES in my room right now

A+ Base Products
Starting off with a good base is important because it sets the foundation (no pun intended!) for the rest of your makeup. Whether you like more coverage or less coverage, make sure you take the time to prep your skin with products that you love and work for your skin. Let your skincare and SPF sink in for several minutes at minimum before applying any makeup! About me: fair/light neutral-ish undertones, dry skin Preferred foundation coverage: medium Preferred concealer coverage: medium - full Primer: Choose a primer that aligns with your skin type and desired effect. Because I have dry skin, I tend to avoid mattifying/oil controlling primers. I do like pore-filling ones near my nose and cheeks, and hydrating ones for winter time. My year-round pick is the touch in SOL - No Poreblem Primer .This primer has a smooth, silicone-y texture that does blur pores a bit without mattifying or sucking moisture out of my face. Mine’s half empty! $18 Foundation: I prefer a natural finish to foundations. I really love the URBAN DECAY - Stay Naked Weightless Foundation (30NN) because it provides medium buildable coverage while being insanely lightweight. It feels like nothing on my skin. It also works with different types of primers. I recommend this because it’s long-wearing and has a great shade range. I’m not a high end foundation gal, but this one is worth it. $39 Concealer: I’ve been using the ELF camo line for a while. e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer (light peach) and I really love it. It’s got medium coverage right out the gate and can be built up. Wears well. The price is unbeatable at about $6! Powders: I have under eye lines and all concealers crease/settle in. It is what it is. I’ve been using the essence - Brighten Up! Banana Powder for a few years now. It’s got a slight yellow tint to it that adds just a touch of brightness. My concealer is locked in all day and doesn’t look dry or cakey. I wouldn’t suggest it for deeper skin tones, though. $5 For all-over or targeted face powder, I like the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder loose powder. You get a ton of product for the price ($29 for 29g) and it’s available in a few shades (mine is “translucent light”). It’s a good powder for all skin, but especially dry, because it doesn’t emphasize dry patches. I don’t necessarily use the UD foundation and this powder together (though I have and it’s great); however, I like to use this powder with dewier foundations or to tame any mid-day oils. Tools I love: AOA studio - AOA Wonder Blender LUXIE - 732 Airbrush Foundation Brush Protools e.l.f. - Flawless Concealer Brush REAL TECHNIQUES - Your Finish/Perfected, Setting Brush BOXYCHARM - FIVE BRUSH SET WITH BC LOGO POUCH #CheriePartner

Makeup for oily, acne-prone skin
Like a lot of people, my skin type is oily and acne-prone. This can make makeup difficult: in the past, I’ve used makeup that clogged my pores and made my acne worse, or makeup that reacted with the oil on my face and made my makeup look cakey. I also really like a dewy, glowy makeup look, which can be difficult when a lot of makeup for oily skin tries to suck the oil up to make skin look matte. Over time, I’ve been able to nail down a makeup look that works great for my skin type. First, make sure to use a good primer to keep makeup in place. I like FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Pores Be Gone Matte Primer , which works great and doesn’t pill under makeup. Next, use a base product. As strange as it seems, I love the Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation for my oily skin—it actually has kaolin clay in it to keep it from looking oily, so the finish I end up with is semi-matte. It’s perfect! I apply it with my fingers and it blends easily. Use a concealer if needed to cover and blemishes and/or undereyes. I love the Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer because it has ingredients like arnica and peptides to visibly improve skin—it’s makeup and skincare rolled into one, and my oily/acne-prone skin loves it! Use a blush with beneficial ingredients for skin. I love the alleyoop - Stack the odds multi-use face palette because the cream products have jojoba and sunflower oils. Since I just apply the blush on the apples of my cheeks, it gives me a glow right where I want it, without making me look oily all over. I also use a cream highlight on my cheekbones: the one in the alleyoop palette is great, as is the BECCA - Skin Love Glow Glaze Stick . They both have skin nourishing ingredients that help keep my skin from being too dried out by acne products—because makeup doesn’t look good clinging to dry patches. Make sure to use a good powder to set foundation in your T-zone. I love the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder because it never looks cakey, even when I reapply—I took a star off for the packaging though, which can be inconvenient. A few more tips: I avoid cream products with coconut oil because they make me break out, and I wash my makeup brushes at least once a week because dirty brushes can spread bacteria and make acne worse. If anyone else has tips for this skin type, please let me know in the comments! #CheriePartner

I love this one because it has literally made my eyelashes grow longer by enriching done with vitamins and protecting my eyelashes from the waterproof formulas that I tend to use. 6) light contour benefit - High Brow Eyebrow Highlighter I like this brow highlighter, but it’s a little bit too light for me to use on my skin every day 7) powder Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder The best setting powder for oily skin it last forever and adds a little bit more tint! 8) eyeliner MAYBELLINE - Expert Wear Twin Brow & Eye Wood Pencil Light Brown I love how inexpensive and easy to use these are, but you do need to dampen it a little before using SEPHORA COLLECTION - Eyeliner Pencil to Go are use a white I need a pencil underneath my eyes to make them appear more open 9) blush Milk MAKEUP - Glow Oil Lip + Cheek this is a really nice blush and shimmer, but it is pretty sheer if you want more color 10) eyebrow gel ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel Super easy to set, tame, color, and hold your brows with all day 11) mascara COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara 10/10 mascara. 12) setting spray URBAN DECAY - Full Size All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Duo

A full face in just 10 minutes!
Happy Friday, cherie fam! I don’t know about you, but my friday makeup tends to be especially quick and easy. Anyone who has a zoom call with me on fridays can deal with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I wanted to share the makeup I put on this morning in just under ten minutes! The finished look is casual, put together, and glowy, and my real skin is still visible under the light makeup. Basic info about my skin: I’m oily and acne prone, and my main concerns right now are dark circles and hyperpigmentation from acne. I also have sparse brows and I like to fill them in—if I do nothing else, I’ll do my brows because I feel naked without them 😂 Here’s a step by step, including all the products I used: First, I apply a few drops of the Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation all over my face, blending it into my hairline and neckline. I’ve reviewed this before, so I won’t go into detail here, but I love it! I just spread it and pat it in with my fingers—no beauty blender/brush needed. Next, I use the Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. Scroll back a few posts for my thoughts on this concealer and why it’s worth repurchasing! Third, I apply the cream blush from the Kosas - Color & Light: Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo on the apples of my cheeks. I usually use a brush, but I can use my fingers in a pinch. I have the color Helios and it’s such a beautiful deep orange shade. The formula itself is very creamy and nourishing—it really feels like skincare AND makeup. I set everything with a light dusting of the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder . I love this powder, and it’s lasting me FOREVER even with daily use, but I desperately want them to improve the packaging 😩 The mesh makes it difficult to get the product out at times. I do my brows with a few quick swipes of the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel , my holy grail brow gel. This is the only product on my brows and LOOK how it fills them in! I do a quick coat of the bareMinerals - Lashtopia Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara to add length and volume to my lashes. This mascara last alllll day without flaking at all on me. Last, I swipe on some nooni - Appleberry Lip Oil , and I’m done! I LOVE this tinted oil—it feels very hydrating without being sticky, and it’s an incredible bargain compared to other tinted lip oils out there (I got it for $12 on amazon). It has a pink tint and a subtle berry flavor. And that’s it! All of these products are so simple to use, making them perfect for a quick and easy makeup look. #CheriePartner
