Watermelon: a powerhouse ingredient 🍉
Watermelon: a powerhouse ingredient 🍉
Watermelon, as the name suggest, is packed full with H2O but not only is it incredibly hydrating, it’s also full of other skin loving ingredients such as citrulline, and other antioxidants. Watermelon extract is suitable to use on all skin types, is great for protecting the skin from free radicals, it’s anti-inflammatory and soothing. Some of my favorite products that showcase watermelon as a main ingredients are: The bliss - What A Melon Replenishing Watermelon Toner Bliss gifted me this toner from their What a melon line and I got my sister hooked. It’s such a hydrating toner, it refreshes the skin and gently exfoliates. It also includes ingredients like electrolytes to help balance the skin and willow bark for some pore-refining action. The Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum is definitely one of the more innovative products I’ve tried. It’s a serum in a stick! It’s great to travel with and so easy to use. This formula is hydrating, brightening and scent-free. Last but not least, the Fourth Ray - Watermelon Face Milk that i like to use in between my serums and moisturizers for an extra dose of hydration. I love the collection of face milks from Fourth Ray. Keep in mind these do have fragrance which can be irritating for some. I personally really like it, and it’s the product that made fell in love with watermelon extract, my skin just really thrives on it 🍉

I’d rather get coal than Milk Makeup’s cooling water stick and its watermelon brightening serum! I couldn’t resist leaving one or the other out because I bought them together and was very disappointed. The “brightening” watermelon serum stick left my skin feeling clogged, heavy, and definitely not any brighter. The cooling water stick was slightly better, but barely! It did not feel cooling at all. It was slightly more lightweight on my skin than the serum, but an hour after applying it, it felt like nothing was on my skin. Neither product has any scent or any affect on my skin. Sadly I do not recommend these!! I feel like a clown since I bought them full price.

I’d rather get coal than than this MILK watermelon serum. This is a serum in a stick form. Yes, you read that right. I feel like in theory this is something that would be good for travel but it's a fail. According to MILK, this solid serum diminishes the appearance of dark spots with Swiss garden cress sprout extract, hydrates with watermelon fruit extract, and smooths by supporting skin’s elasticity with matrixyl, a biomimetic peptide complex. Obviously this is more TSA and travel friendly than most serums! Texture wise there is not much to show, it's the serum stick as in the photo, and it just leaves a bit of a film/sheen on the skin (see next photo). It's supposed to be hydrating but I think I will call it...heavy and sticky. While I say that this does hydrate and moisturize, This is NOT a lightweight serum and it kind of functions as a sticky primer for me under makeup. This serum applies ok onto the skin but will not dry right - even after smoothing it into the skin, it stays sticky and all the products you apply on top will also become sticky and not dry down. Surprisingly, this doesn't smell like watermelon (i love watermelon so I was hoping for that), it's fragrance free. This is an ok product for dry skin since it hydrates but personally I find having a serum in a stick form impractical. I would stick to a traditional serum instead, and if you're traveling, just put your normal products into mini bottles. This retails $36 for 1.2 oz, which is cheaper than serums from Farmacy and other mid range sephora brands (most serums are sold as 1 oz). So if you like this product, it's an ok deal. I give this 1/5 stars. It might hydrate but it's just annoying to apply and the whole concept of a serum in a stick falls flat. Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum

I’ve picked up a few products to give Milk Makeups skincare line a try. While I do love the Cleanser and tried the moisturizer as a sample and liked it as well, I can’t say I’m impressed with the others I have. Milk MAKEUP - Day + Night Serum and Mask Face Set Has the Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum and I haven’t seen any changes since using Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Face Mask and again no noticeable changes Milk MAKEUP - Melatonin Overnight Lip Mask I do enjoy the lip mask. It reminds me a bit of the Laneige Sleeping Mask but has a bit of a natural scent to it. Milk MAKEUP - Melatonin Overnight Serum again, no changes since using What I do like about the products are the roll on stick application. It’s a fun change of using traditional methods. I’ve just picked up the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara and so far am really liking it!!! Very clean and easy to apply. No smearing or flaking. Sorry such a blah review but that’s kinda my opinion of the brand. Just didn’t “wow” me. #CherieCreator

🌊 vegan, silicone free, and with an incredible range of products MILK MAKEUP and went from being my favorite make up brand to also being my favorite skin care brand! 🌊 their products are natural and good for skin, but my favorite part about them is that most of their skin care items are solid stick serums. That means 1) it makes them last forever, so you know you’re getting your moneys worth, and you know exactly how much product you have left at any point 2) they are TSA friendly because they are not a liquid! No one can take your skin care sticks. And they will never spill anywhere 3) you don’t need to touch your face to apply them, I still do because I’ve rub them in with clean hands, but for some people that’s a really important thing 🌊 their product ranges from melatonin lines to a whole bunch of Matcha products and a brightening watermelon serum. my two favorite skin care products from them are their Cooling water and the Matcha Toner. Both feel amazing on your skin, they can fix a sunburn, they can relieve acne, they can make your skin literally feel hydrated in an instant 🌊 Products Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Cleanser Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Detoxifying Face Mask Milk MAKEUP - Matcha Toner Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer (half makeup half skincare Milk MAKEUP - Cooling Water Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum

the product: Milk MAKEUP - Watermelon Brightening Serum the rating: 4/5, i like it but i dont get the benefits it touts the ingredients: swiss garden cress, watermelon, matrixyl the review: i like this brand and their products a lot, but while this serum is definitely hydrating, it didnt do much to help my dark spots. it feels SO good on your skin though. if you have sensitive skin, i would issue a cautious warning, as this may be a little stingy or potent the price: $36 for 1.2 oz. it lasts forever
