Is the Milk Hydro Grip Primer worth it? weartest
What are your thoughts on primers? Honestly for a long time I thought they were useless. They dried out my skin and caused terrible breakouts. Until I heard ALL THE HYPE about this primer and tried it out! This is my second travel bottle of Milk’s Hydro Grip Primer: Milk MAKEUP - Hydro Grip Primer I have pretty dry skin so my main goal throughout the day is to stay hydrated—I hate when my makeup clings to and accentuates my dry spots. So let’s do a wear test, shall we?! Application—8:30 AM: Today is a work day so I’m up and I’m just doing my usual—spot concealing my acne scars and any current redness or breakouts with my holy grail concealer which is Milk’s Flex concealer formula: Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer. I am working with the general public still so my face will be covered by a mask, so I’m only concealing—no blush or bronzer or foundation. I dot the concealer on the areas of my face I want it to cover the most and let it sit for a few minutes, then stipple blend it out with a dense foundation brush. The primer is STICKY so the concealer on that side has a little more coverage. You can see in the photo I still have texture, which I wasn’t trying to avoid anyway, but no dry spots! Yay! Note my little pimple on my smile line on the primer side, which is MY LEFT (your right :)). External forces: I still have to leave my house to go to work nowadays, so I have to wear a mask over my face—this subjects my skin to friction. Even more of a test for the primer 😉 but luckily my masks are not uncomfortable so I don’t mind! I don’t feel itchy or irritated on my primer side during the whole day. I don’t feel terribly irritated on my non-primed side either, but I can see the concealer starting to flake off on my cheeks. Wear test complete—4:30 PM: I get home from work to asses the damage. Face mask indents aside, my smile line pimple looks COVERED still! The places where my mask was rubbing have less coverage, but the side that wasn’t primed is definitely more red. My goal was to stop dryness but it helped longevity wise too! Final thoughts: I love this primer omg! If you are a normal to dry skin type with dry acne spots this keeps your skin hydrated and flake/crepe free. It also has a slight cooling sensation due to its cool gel formula and texture. I would recommend trying a mini or getting a sample before purchasing, as always. Rating: 5/5. This is one of the only face primers I care to use that I trust!

My go-to concealer for “No-Makeup Makeup”
Milk Makeup’s Flex Concealer Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer has been my holy grail concealer for SO long! I’m on my second tube. My first tube lasted me about 8 months. It’s a light consistency that can be blended out with your fingers (the brand prefers this) or your makeup sponge or brush. I personally apply this with a foundation brush with stippling movements to blend it out without it looking splotchy. Milk’s concealer line has a great, balanced shade range and I love that it comes in a tube so you can squeeze out every last bit! I mainly use this product to even out my skin tone and red spots by itself—I never wear it with foundation and never set it with powder. Is wears so naturally and lasts all day!! I have to mention that it is a medium coverage concealer so it lets me let some of my blemishes show through it which really helps with my “no makeup” makeup looks. And I’m so happy that it has a shade that matches my body skin tone EXACT!! This tube costs $28 and I think that is SUCH a great price for a higher end concealer that lasts SO long. If you’re able to go grab a sample from Sephora to test it out, I highly recommend it for all skin types!! I’m rating this product 5 out of 5 stars because I can rely on it, I fully support the brand, and it’s affordable for a higher end concealer.

My 10 minute makeup routine 😘✨
Hi friends, this is the makeup routine I do when I’m in a pinch! No foundation makes for a more natural glow “my skin but better” feel. I don’t mind my acne showing through since acne is normal ✨ My skin tone is fair, and my skin type is sensitive/combination dry with rosacea & it is acne prone. Here’s my 10 minute routine: e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel this brow gel is my favorite! It’s $4 at Ulta and the gel isn’t too thick but keeps my brow hairs in place all day and gives them an extra “oomph.” 5/5 vegan & cruelty free! I use the shade “brunette.” Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer my favorite go-to for evening out my skin tone. I use the shade “fair.” I dot it all around my red spots and any inflamed spots and let it sit for a few mins before blending it out. It’s not too drying, more of a satin finish. Available at Sephora. 5/5 Rare Beauty - Soft Pinch Liquid Blush this is a mini I have of the matte blush formula in “grace.” I would much prefer to try the dewy formula—this one blends out kind of patchy if you don’t work fast. Regardless, the smallest amount gives you awesome color payoff and this mini will last me forever. Available at Sephora. 4/5 BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter this is my all time favorite liquid highlighter. I literally use the smallest amount on my ring and middle fingers and dab it out all over my upper cheekbones over my blush as well as on the bridge of my nose. I’ve had this mini for a long time and highly recommend it! Available at Ulta. 5/5 tarte - LIT Chrome Paint Highlighter this is such a good eyeshadow in a pinch. Shade “bronzed.” I take the smallest amount on the tip of my middle finger and apply and blend it all over my lid and crease. Super easy look! Available at Sephora. 5/5 FENTY BEAUTY - Full Frontal Volume, Lift & Curl Mascara a secret hero! I’m using the new merlot shade, I really want them to come out with a brown shade. It gives me more length and volume and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes. Available at Sephora. 5/5 URBAN DECAY - Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen super easy brush-tip eyeliner pen. A bit expensive, plus it mush be shaken up before using or it applies washy. I usually just apply a super small outer wing to extend my lashes. Doesn’t irritate my eyes. Available at Ulta. 5/5 essence - Soft Contouring Lipliner my all time favorite! This lip liner is $2 at Ulta. I apply it all over my upper lips and around my bottom lips. Not drying! 5/5 FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer last but not least. The classic Fenty Glow gloss bomb. Shade “Fenty glow” the perfect glossy luminizer! Not goopy, and tastes great. Doesn’t last super long but is still a hit. Available at Sephora. 5/5 See any faves? #Cherie Partner

No-nonsense full lips
Hi friends! I don’t have large lips. In fact, I am losing a lot of my natural pigment around my lip line, so I am no stranger to lip liner! However, I can’t stand products that are “plumping” and literally burn the crap out your lips. No thanks. See how I get my full, glossy lips! Prep. Take care of your lips! My lip fav right now is the new lip sleeping mask by Sweet Chef (this was gifted to me). It’s not goopy or sticky and doesn’t have a weird scent or flavor. Vegan & cruelty free! Sweet CHEF - Sugarcane + Vitamin E Lip Sleeping Mask Line. Line your lips first. I am making sure to use a liner that is slightly darker than my natural shade so we have an easier time contouring later. You can see I am following the natural shape of my lips but I am filling in some spots where my natural pigment is gone. You can over line if you want to but I feel it looks best when done near the center on top and bottom and less on the outside areas. I’m using my holy grail (costs $2) essence - Soft Contouring Lipliner Conceal. This is optional but it does add dimension to your lips. Apply a light concealer (literally the smallest amount) to the center of your bottom lip. Blend out with your finger! I’m using Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer which used to be my favorite but I don’t support them anymore. GLOSS UP. Use a lightweight but long wearing gloss. Today I’m using NARS - NARS Oil-Infused Lip Tint which is conditioning but it’s not cruelty free and doesn’t last very long at all. I received it as a gift from a family member. Try undone beauty’s lip gloss instead! Voila! Your lips will look fuller without appearing TOO unlike your natural lip shape. Have you used any of these products? What are your favorite lip products? #CheriePartner

Editorial ULTRA COLOR Mask Eye Look
Don’t you guys just love experimenting with color? I figure it’s only a matter of time before we start seeing more editorial eyeshadow looks paired with masks. I went kind of crazy here with this one but I ended up loving it a lot! Wouldn’t wear it to the grocery store though... 😂 Here’s my how to and my thoughts on each product I used: Brows. Brush out your brow hairs. Apply a tinted brow gel and a brow pencil to your liking. I used e.l.f. - Ultra Precise Brow Pencil e.l.f. - Wow Brow Gel these are wonderful drugstore options. I have repurchased each of them multiple times and tbh I don’t really understand overspending on brow products. Base. Lightly conceal your eyelid + undereye. I blended it out with my finger. I used Milk MAKEUP - Flex Concealer which is one of my favorites, however I am no longer supporting milk makeup in light of their past racist actions in their internal corporate culture. I then set the concealer on my eyelid with a neutral powder. The craze begins. I am using the URBAN DECAY - Electric Pressed Pigment Palette which is a holy grail of mine. Highly recommend this if you can get your hands on one. It lasts forever and the pigment is insane. I started out with the shade “jilted” blended out on my lower lash line up into a mini wing with e.l.f. - Eyeshadow "C" Brush —east drugstore brush, I like it a lot. The craze continues. Then I took the shade “gonzo” on MORPHE - M421 Mini Concealer Brush —I used this brush as a liner brush— to outline my top liner and my crease for later. Then I blended the blue out upward with my favorite blending brushes MORPHE - M433 Pro Firm Blending Fluff Brush MORPHE - M456 Mini Firm Blending Brush . GLITTER! I took the #Tarte - Glitter Liner[products]#[ThreeStars] which is OK IMO but I don’t support Tarte anymore and this burns my eyes. This is the only glitter liner I had tho. Sorry. I took this to line my crease, I have hooded eyes so I went high, and I used it as an outer liner and connected them. Even crazier. Then I took MORPHE - M421 Mini Concealer Brush and wet it with MILANI - Make It Last Prime + Correct + Set Setting Spray , dipped it in “jilted” and covered my eyelid with it. Liner + Lashes: Then I took URBAN DECAY - Perversion Waterproof Fine-Point Eye Pen which is my NEW FAV! I lined over our blue line from earlier and drew high and low lines on the wing to leave space for the glitter to poke through a little diamond. I then finished the look with Milk MAKEUP - Kush Waterproof Mascara —this is awful, don’t use it—and some extra lil lines I found portrayed lashes in an abstract way. I finished up my repeating on the opposite side with different colors. It’s not perfect, but it’s fun! #CheriePartner

Flex concealer big swing and a miss
I was debating on whether I should get the concealer or not during quarentine because I wasn’t sure what my shade would be, I emailed a picture of myself to customer service and they recommended their lightest shade so I was confident and bought it, two weeks later it comes and I look like a damn ghost when I put it on my under eyes, it looks so so much whiter when it goes on the skin compared to the color in the bottle. Dried down very matte but honestly I looked like a damn fool so I just took it off I didn’t even bother to see the longevity or if it creases. I was just so disappointed in this one. I guess I’m just a dewy concealer gal who will stick to her glossier one. 2/5 because first of all color is hella misleading, second very very matte and powdery texture and third wasn’t that easy to blend out either. Definitely wasn’t for me but hey might work on oily skinned gals
