10 min Makeup - Quick Morning Transformation🧚🏽
10 min Makeup - Quick Morning Transformation🧚🏽
I’m technically working from home again. I spent the last couple of weeks working in film production, so I didn’t even have a chance to do anything for myself since ~16 hrs of my day were focused on getting to/from work & being present there. Now that I’m home more, it’s important for me to still treat myself like I’m going somewhere... because I am towards my destiny, finding a way to turn my passion into a career 😅 and it’s nice to look “nice, presentable” or whatever for yourself, even at home... if we’ve learned anything during quarantine, amirite? So here’s what I look like waking up to what a few mins of tending to myself with products looks like ✨ It’s not a huge change, but it definitely perks me up! Also before anyone starts, glasses are cute AF but sometimes I feel like they hide my face, especially in photos! ... even though that’s the reason I got rimless glasses 🤣 Anyways, I started by undoing my overnight braids with a little bit of the GRAYDON - Intimacy Oil on my fingers to “lubricate” the hair strands and give em a little sheen. Then I started my face off with some Glossier. - Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter in Topaz and Glossier. - Niteshine Highlighter Concentrate in Copper (I like to use this as a bronzer, slight contour) I used the ĀETHER BEAUTY - Crystal Charged Cheek Palette as both highlighter, blush AND the main eyeshadow to brighten my lids. Speaking of eyeshadow, MISMACK - Large ART Shadow in 'Shade' and Pure Anada - Grape Pressed Eye in Espresso we’re used for definition. Then I finished my upper face with Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara and Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel . To both add a little pigment and hydrate my lips, I used my fave lip balm Kosas - Kosasport Lipfuel in Pulse.

Makeup for Special Occasions: Clubbing 💃🏽
Makeup for Special Occasions: Clubbing 💃🏽
Omg can I just say that doing this look made me miss going out even more! 😢 I personally thrive on the dance floor 💃🏽 But anyways, you guessed right this is my clubbing makeup. Let’s be real when we’re going clubbing, it’s important to keep in mind that most of our makeup will be sweated off by the end of the night, so I prefer to keep it as glam yet simple as possible! I achieve this by using fun colours that I normally wouldn’t, with a few products. So here you see I am wearing blue eyeliner, which takes a while to come off & a purplish pink gloss to give my lips a tinted shine that I won’t have to keep maintaining with several lipsticks and lip liners! By the way, I’m not wearing foundation bc that’ll definitely get messy throughout the night with the way I’m dancing & I just love my skin how it is, honestly! 1. I started this look off with doing my brows. I got them waxed today ✨ so I didn’t need to shape them up, just filled them in with Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel 2. Next I used SAPPHO - New Paradigm Concealer to let the ĀETHER BEAUTY - Crystal Grid Gemstone Palette eyeshadow last a bit longer throughout the night. I used an icy blue from this palette to just brighten the eyes more, which would look nice when the light hits em. (For shadow on the eye crease and contour I used MISMACK - Large ART Shadow in 'Shade' which is not captured bc it crumbled after falling oK?!😭) 3. Then I did a cat eye on each side in blue with L'ORÉAL - Infallible Paints Eyeliner . Oops it’s not “clean beauty” but it glides so nicely and the pen doesn’t dry out mid stroke, which I really respect. I also have this in white for future face art experiments 🖼 4. Completed fanning the lashes with the superb Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara we all got for our birthdays from Sephora 💝 5. Used FENTY BEAUTY - Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter to warm up the cheekbones with both the orange and pink and then LAWLESS - Lucid Skin Highlighter to highlight the usual areas. 6. I know in the last post I gave it a 4 star rating, but honestly, I finally found the use for the BITE - Yaysayer Plumping Lip Gloss in Plum Tart, as I noticed it lasts quite a while without needing to be reapplied. Such a win! It tastes like Coca Cola and isn’t too sticky, but gives enough of shine and pigment to make it look like you’re wearing something 👌🏽 #CheriePartner

Have I talked about this brow gel before? Yes Am I going to talk about it again? YES I have yet again repurchased the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel . Allow me to tell you why! I have very sparse brows (swipe to see a before and after with this product) and this gel gives me the look I’m going for: my brows look filled in without looking overly done. I think it looks very natural, which I love! I’ve tried other brow gels and while they made the hairs I have look brushed up and a little tinted, they didn’t visually fill in the sparse areas. This one does! This is a little pricey for me for a brow product ($20) but this little tube lasts me *forever* even with almost daily use (I use it on workdays but not the weekends) All Milk products are vegan and cruelty free! This product lasts all day for me, unless I’m unfortunate enough to be caught in the rain. It is not waterproof and it will smudge if it becomes wet. In short, this is my go-to brow product and I can’t see myself trying anything else because I’m so happy with it. I think the key is that this gel has fibers in it that make my brows look more filled in than any other gels I had tried before. #CheriePartner

10-minute Makeup Routine
10-minute Makeup Routine
When I only have 10 mins to do my makeup bc I’m running late or whatever, my goals are to brighten up my face and add a charm to it. Not that it’s not already charming on its own, but you know how it is running on lil sleep 🤪 On these days, I prefer not to go anywhere near foundation as I find that it can be quite messy to work with in a short amount of time and sometimes brings out my imperfections a lil too much. So to glow I used the ĀETHER BEAUTY - Crystal Charged Cheek Palette on both my eyes (light pink “Aphrodisiac”), as a highlighter (“Pure Love”) on my cheeks and nose & as blush (reddish pink “Divinity”). I really like this formula as it’s non chalky and has good hold. I even used the sample I have from ĀETHER BEAUTY - Rose Quartz Crystal Gemstone Eyeshadow Palette in Rose Quartz in the corners of my eyes. It stays on great, especially when used on a base like SAPPHO - New Paradigm Concealer in Caramel. I also used elate - LipColour Pencil to give my eyes that metallic look. As for the lips, I prepped them with BITE - Agave+ Daytime Vegan Lip Balm which has a nice, creamy texture but I dislike the scent! And then I topped my lips with the new BITE - Yaysayer Plumping Lip Gloss on Cinnamon Twist, which is a nice lipgloss made with cinnamon oil to plump the lips. It comes out of a twisted tip which can be cleaned after each use, which is great for times like this when you wouldn’t want to contaminate your makeup! I finished this look off with Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara that most of us probably got from Sephora for our birthday 🎂 and Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel to shape my eyebrows. I gave it a 4 star because I feel sometimes it wipes off on area of my face I wish it wouldn’t.

A full face in just 10 minutes!

Happy Friday, cherie fam! I don’t know about you, but my friday makeup tends to be especially quick and easy. Anyone who has a zoom call with me on fridays can deal with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I wanted to share the makeup I put on this morning in just under ten minutes! The finished look is casual, put together, and glowy, and my real skin is still visible under the light makeup. Basic info about my skin: I’m oily and acne prone, and my main concerns right now are dark circles and hyperpigmentation from acne. I also have sparse brows and I like to fill them in—if I do nothing else, I’ll do my brows because I feel naked without them 😂 Here’s a step by step, including all the products I used: First, I apply a few drops of the Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation all over my face, blending it into my hairline and neckline. I’ve reviewed this before, so I won’t go into detail here, but I love it! I just spread it and pat it in with my fingers—no beauty blender/brush needed. Next, I use the Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. Scroll back a few posts for my thoughts on this concealer and why it’s worth repurchasing! Third, I apply the cream blush from the Kosas - Color & Light: Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo on the apples of my cheeks. I usually use a brush, but I can use my fingers in a pinch. I have the color Helios and it’s such a beautiful deep orange shade. The formula itself is very creamy and nourishing—it really feels like skincare AND makeup. I set everything with a light dusting of the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder . I love this powder, and it’s lasting me FOREVER even with daily use, but I desperately want them to improve the packaging 😩 The mesh makes it difficult to get the product out at times. I do my brows with a few quick swipes of the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel , my holy grail brow gel. This is the only product on my brows and LOOK how it fills them in! I do a quick coat of the bareMinerals - Lashtopia Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara to add length and volume to my lashes. This mascara last alllll day without flaking at all on me. Last, I swipe on some nooni - Appleberry Lip Oil , and I’m done! I LOVE this tinted oil—it feels very hydrating without being sticky, and it’s an incredible bargain compared to other tinted lip oils out there (I got it for $12 on amazon). It has a pink tint and a subtle berry flavor. And that’s it! All of these products are so simple to use, making them perfect for a quick and easy makeup look. #CheriePartner

Eyebrow mistakes I used to make
Eyebrow mistakes I used to make
I’m sure we allll remember instagram brows... a few years ago, every makeup artist was doing super defined, dramatic brows, feathered toward the inside and then carved out with concealer to make them pop even more. then glossier and similar brands came along, changing the brow game toward a more natural, less filled-in look. while trends change and some may not consider the left picture to be “wrong,” looking back I don’t think it was the right look for me, and I’m glad I changed it. I’ve figured out in recent years that dramatic makeup just isn’t my thing, and that’s okay! We’re all different, and I’m more than happy to cheer from the sidelines as some of y’all do incredible, complex makeup looks. But I was trying to follow a trend without even considering if it was right for me, and now I’m glad I don’t feel the need to do that anymore. Looking back at those brows, I realize now that they were too dark too sharply defined not feathered enough toward the inside, as many people’s brows naturally are For the picture on the left, I had used NYX - Eyebrow Cake Powder , which was my go-to for a long time in college. I don’t think the product itself was bad—it came with two brown powders, plus a gel wax to brush up and set brows—but I don’t think I applied it very well. Maybe it was the name that made me think it was supposed to be literally caked on, but that’s what I did. I do remember it lasted well throughout the day though, especially when I finished it with the wax. I’m sure I could’ve applied it with a lighter hand and it would look more how I want my brows to look now. I would also used a lot of the MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Concealer to carve out my brows: while this is a great affordable full-coverage concealer, again, it was my usage of it that I’m glad I’ve left in the past. On the right I’m wearing a product I’ve talked about many times: the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel . This is the only product I wear on my brows on the average day—no need for additional powders or pencils to give me this more natural, just-filled-in-enough look. I can’t rave about this product enough, but I’ll keep it short and direct you toward my previous posts on it if you want to know my full thoughts. In sum, these are the main differences between the two pictures: on the left, I used a brow powder/pomade (and a lot of it); on the right, I use just a tinted brow gel on the left, I carved out my brows with concealer; on the right, I just use a clean concealer brush to clean up any extra brow gel outside my brow line on the left, I heavily filled in areas outside my natural brow line; on the right, I apply brow gel only to where I actually have brow hairs Was anyone else a victim of instagram brows? or are they still your go-to? Feel free to roast mine 😂 #CheriePartner
