✨Didn’t Live Up to the Hype for Me✨
✨Didn’t Live Up to the Hype for Me✨
I have typically oily skin that occasionally breaks out or gets dry spots. This is a cream, matte bronzer that adds some warmth and dimension to the face and body. I got this in a Milk Makeup set a few years back that Sephora accidentally sent me instead of my order. This is the shade Baked. It’s a mini, so it’s only 0.23 oz/ 6.5 g. It’s really easy to place this in the area that you want it in because of the packaging. I love the convenience of cream bronzers, but they’re never pigmented enough for me. This one just disappears on the face as soon as you start to blend it. The third pic is in my hallway lighting (since my bathroom is too harsh) by itself on top of foundation. The fourth and fifth pic are of the final look (with blush and highlighter) in natural lighting. After I’m done blending, it’s basically nothing on my face anymore. It has a strange clay scent that is pretty strong and pretty tacky and can be hard to blend and can take some work. I don’t like this product because it’s not the sort of bronzer/contour that I go for, I prefer a darker one. I would recommend this to those looking for a more natural look. I personally don’t think this is worth the price or effort because it’s not the type of look I prefer, but it would be for those looking for a natural look. Hellooooo Milk Makeup! I can’t tell you guys how excited and in love I am with this stuff, it’s like they were all made for me! Matte Bronzer: I love. I love so much. It’s incredible value as this will last forever for a decent price. I was swiping it on my skim and blending out and then switch to going into the product with a brush then the skin and I honestly like both ways. It’s not for contouring as it’s quite warm, but it warms up the face for a sun kissed glow perfectly. It blends perfectly and isn’t super matte. It surprisingly works well over powder! And yes, it does smell like play dough Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Flex Foundation: I cannot stop using it. It glides onto the skin and melts and blends in really beautifully with a sponge. When I apply a decent powder on top it stays in place all day, but will separate pretty badly on its own. The colour match is spot on and doesn’t cover up any glow that my skincare and primer provide! I’m not so sure about the skincare benefits, but my acne prone skin tells me that it’s good for those who are sensitive!! I’m going to keep this for travel as it’s so tiny and non liquid. I highly recommend using the hydro grip primer with it too!Milk MAKEUP - Flex Foundation Stick Kush Lash Primer and Mascara: I don’t know how to typically use lash primers, but I’m impressed. It fattens up my lashes really well and gives me the volume I crave. The mascara is lengthening and volumizing too on its own and with the primer. I love how my lashes feel so soft and not stiff with this. It makes removing it literally effortless with an oil cleanser, I don’t get flakes and fallout during the day nor does it smudge. I used the mascara months ago and remember it helping my lashes grow too Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Lash Primer Vegan Milk Moisturizer: love. New holy grail. That’s it. Kidding!! It’s the thickest cream I’ve ever used and it’s so soft and gentle. It feels almost too thick at first but then melts into the skin with some warmth. It’s completely free of irritating ingredients and I have immediate redness reduction and zero tightness when I use this morning or night. It doesn’t pill up over an oil and makes primer and foundation go on very smoothly. Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Moisturizer

👄 sometimes no makeup IS the new makeup trend. but its only the APPEARANCE of no makeup! We’re going for CLEAR & GLOWING SKIN and NATURAL LIPS. as seen in Xuly.Bët 💋 products and steps 1) prime Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 this is my favorite SPF product and I favorite primer, it modifies your skin throughout the whole day, feels in pores, and is perfect for oily skin people. I’ve been using this for a couple months now and I’m going to continue to use it throughout the fall and winter because it isn’t drying! $38 at Sephora 2) conceal SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear and Cover Acne Treatment Cream Concealer with 2% Salicylic Acid A really good concealer for those who struggle with acne like myself, I have a lot of active spots because of maskne, and this product on only covers them and conceals them but also helps to correct them with the active ingredient of salicylic acid. Salicylic acid breaks down oil which is the cause of most pimples! 3) brow pencil ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Perfect Brow Pencil very excellent wooden brow pencil with an attached spoolie. comes in a variety of shades, is really easy to sharpen, and lasts forever! 4) contour Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer I really like this bronzer but it doesn’t have a large shade range which I kind of want! easy for contouring!! brush is from costco 5) lash primer LANCÔME - CILS BOOSTER XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base if you don’t use an eyelash primer, you should! I love this one because it has literally made my eyelashes grow longer by enriching done with vitamins and protecting my eyelashes from the waterproof formulas that I tend to use. 6) light contour benefit - High Brow Eyebrow Highlighter I like this brow highlighter, but it’s a little bit too light for me to use on my skin every day 7) powder Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder The best setting powder for oily skin it last forever and adds a little bit more tint! 8) eyeliner MAYBELLINE - Expert Wear Twin Brow & Eye Wood Pencil Light Brown I love how inexpensive and easy to use these are, but you do need to dampen it a little before using SEPHORA COLLECTION - Eyeliner Pencil to Go are use a white I need a pencil underneath my eyes to make them appear more open 9) blush Milk MAKEUP - Glow Oil Lip + Cheek this is a really nice blush and shimmer, but it is pretty sheer if you want more color 10) eyebrow gel ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel Super easy to set, tame, color, and hold your brows with all day 11) mascara COVERGIRL - Lash Blast Volume Waterproof Mascara 10/10 mascara. 12) setting spray URBAN DECAY - Full Size All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray Duo

🌊 If you have a naturally round face like me, cheekbones and jawlines are hard to come by. but thats what contour and highlight are for. The goal is to create DEPTH using LIGHT (highlighter) and SHADOW (bronzer). read to the end for a special trick. 🌊 my secret is using both cream and powder bronzer to carve out my face. Why? I have oily skin, so cream won’t last the whole day, but using powder on top makes it last. It’s like setting your contour! 🌊 How i Do it Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Step one of contour, after foundation and concealer. Follow the hollows of your cheeks, along the jaw, and at the too of the forehead to make it seem smaller. Blend it out for the more natural cheekbone. be sure to check the jaw line benefit - Hoola Matte Bronzer Step two of contour, after the cream. I make a little line with the Caramel color, then blend it out as much as possible. The other bronzer places are set with Milk Blur. Hoola is easily the best bronzer on the market if you like matte finishes — its blendable as heck! Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder Hit the T zone and below the bronzer. Bake at 98.6 for 10 minutes. This has been my favorite powder for 2+ years — great for oily skin and has a shade range! THE BEAUTY CROP - Glow Milk Dropper Liquid Highlighter Highlight! i use a tiny drop on the top of my cheekbone. this liquid highlighter is SO blendable my specialty SEPHORA COLLECTION - Eyeliner Pencil to Go i use this on the very tip of my nose, just a dot that is only half blended out. the result is a nose that looks like it’s shiny and catching the light. its just an illusion.

Glowing Skin w/ All Creams Products!
Glowing Skin w/ All Creams Products!
Glowing skin is alllllllways in, but especially so in summer! These are some of my favorite products to use for glowing skin that will wear well throughout the day. I encourage you to see what you have at home, but overall I recommend all of these if you’ve been interested. ☀️ Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid It’s an oil-serum hybrid that is multi-use. It can be used under makeup, mixed with foundation, on top of makeup, or worn on the body. I find that it allows glow to shine through whatever is on top throughout the day. Ethereal! $24 COLOURPOP - Pretty Fresh Hyaluronic Tinted Moisturizer I’ve reviewed this on Cherie before. It’s so good! Light coverage that evens out my skin tone. It wears well throughout the day and gives a slightly dewy finish. Works so well with creams or powders on top. $14 e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer is a 100% fave. I’ve mentioned it in other Cherie posts. Great coverage and never looks cakey because a little goes a long way. $6 Glossier. - Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow Though I think lidstars are a bit pricey for what they are, I do love the shade “cub”. It’s a beautiful rose gold that can be sheered out (like in my photos) or built up. I prepped my eyes with MILANI - MILANI Eyeshadow Primer . $18 for 1 or 2 for $30 (lidstar), $7 (primer) Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer in “baked”. It’s the easiest cream bronzer to work with. I’ve been using it for over a year. You get an astounding amount of product for the price. Wish it came in more shades, though. $28 full size $15 mini (mine is full size) TOWER 28 - BeachPlease Tinted Lip + Cheek Balm in shade “happy hour”. I have another shade of these, too. They’re very pigmented but blend like a dream. I don’t like this shade on my lips but on the face it gives a “just sat out in the sun” dewy finish. girlactik - Skin Glow Duo duo in “moonlight”. I’ve had this for a while and it’s still kickin’ just fine. Love the two shades. They can be worn alone or layered. I layered on my cheeks in my photos, as well as applied to the inner corner of my eyes. What are your top glowing skin picks? #CheriePartner

Milk Makeup - Bronzer & Lip+Cheek - Worth It?
Milk Makeup - Bronzer & Lip+Cheek - Worth It?
Milk MAKEUP - Matte Bronzer Shade: Baked Hello sun-kissed goddess! Seriously, I was a little on the fence about this one originally when I first purchased it. But, this shade doesn’t make me look orange and actually worked as a contour on my face to shape some of my features. The formula is very easy to blend and once you put powder over it, it isn’t sticky and dries down very nicely. I also like how Milk Makeup offers a mini size, which is what I purchased. Personally, I like being able to try something out for a while and will tend to go for the mini/travel friendly size before I fully commit to buying a full size. I know that it’s usually not a good deal, but in the past, I liked to switch out my products by season. This offered a great way to use a product up before it goes bad as well. After my declutter of my collection, it also makes me reach for this cream bronzer more often since it’s the only one I have and allows me to live more intentionally by being aware of what I enjoy and reminds me why I enjoy this. I would definitely repurchase this one once I need a new one! Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Shade: Werk I feel like all Milk makeup cream products are such a dream to blend, whether it’s with your fingers, brush, or sponge! Again, I really enjoy this formula and it stays on for quite a while. I love that this was a mini size/travel friendly - see my review above. I took off a star since I want to try more of the color shades out once I use this one up - wasn’t sure if this was really my correct shade for the cheeks, or maybe it’s not my personal preference. I feel like I tend to lean towards peachy/slight coral shades and this was more of a dusty mauve. When I apply this with my fingers, it just melts, unlike some of the Bite Beauty multi-sticks that I have, which are a lot stiffer/harder to work with. I don’t know that I will repurchase this one though since I have other cream blushes that I enjoy a lot more.
