Thank you, cherie!
Thank you, cherie!
Cherie came through with these Black owned products! Thank you so much for these goodies. GOLDE - Original Turmeric Latte Blend for Skin Glow + Debloat If anyone has suggestions on how they like to prepare this turmeric powder, please let me know! Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream First impressions from squeezing a little on my fingers: it’s not sticky and the scent is so nice, not artificial and gross. FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer We love a good gloss! FENTY SKIN - Total Cleans'r Remove-It-All Cleanser I used this last night for the first time and after figuring out how to open it (twist until you hear a click lol) I actually really enjoyed this cleanser. I like the light fragrance a lot more than I expected, especially after trying the spf (scroll through my posts for that review)

How to air dry curly hair ⭐️
How to air dry curly hair ⭐️
My hair is thick, curly, and HEAVY! I typically like to have my hair shorter than this so my curls are more bouncy, however in a pandemic you won’t catch me getting my hair cut ❌ so here we are! This is my no-nonsense air dry curling method: 1. Wash your hair. This should be obvious LOL! I use a curl conditioner at the moment but it shouldn’t matter what shower products you use if you have naturally curly hair anyway. 2. Spread a leave-in curl cream or gel over your damp hair. Right now, my favorite is from Briogeo—Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream it’s only $20 and will last forever. Finger comb I through your hair from mid to ends, leaving the root area clean. 3. “Scrunch” your hair using a cotton t-shirt. Yes, it sounds weird. But by using a t shirt it starts to absorb some water from your hair to keep your curl shape in place. 4. Allow your hair to air dry. My hair usually takes 6-12 hours to air dry depending on my method. Over time it gets drier and bouncier though! & you can always fluff it up by finger coming it upward. How do you air dry your hair? #CheriePartner

Y'all this is the leave-in to end all leave-ins 😤 I tried this for the very first time last year and I ran out of it at the end of the year. I already repurchased a new one in 2020 and I'll definitely continue to repurchase it unless something else completely blows me away like this leave-in did 💜 This leave-in conditioner has the PERFECT consistency. Not so thick that it's hard to spread and not so thin that it's making a whole dripping mess all over the place. It has a very light scent that I'm not sure I know how to explain. If you've ever tried anything from Briogeo you know what scent I'm talking about because pretty much all their products smell this way 😏 It contains rice aminos and avocado oil to help nourish, protect and keep frizz at bay and the smooth texture makes it so nice and easy to work through my hair 🥑🍚 I purchased this product last summer after deciding to put the flat iron down and let my hair do its thing! I had tried so many styling products that left my hair feeling sticky, weighed down and gross and I didn't really know what to look for in a good leave-in conditioner. All of my other hair products already came from Briogeo and I figured why not give their curly line a shot? 🤷🏽‍♀️ I was NOT disappointed by this product at all. I have my absolute BEST hair days when I use this leave-in cream. I have little to no frizz, my curls are DEFINED, my styles last me all week and my hair feels stronger and better with each use because of the ingredients that help improve elasticity 💪🏽 This leave-in creme is $20 for 6oz which I do think is pretty steep but this is such a beautiful formula and the results I get from it make it worth it. I'd recommend this product to ANYONE with curly hair. Especially if you're transitioning and haven't found a product that's been working out for you yet. It's been such a game changer for me and I can't imagine going back to any of the products I was using prior to this 💜💜💜 Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream

I tried the “Curly Girl Method” and....
The Curly Girl Method isn’t new. My mom has been using this method for so long. I had never done it before because I have naturally curly hair and didn’t think it would make a difference...well.... I was wrong. My curls are dry and thick and nothing seems to make them bouncy and full except a good haircut with layers. But, you know, quarantine and all...so I haven’t had a haircut since February! This is my take on the curly girl method: 1. Start with wet hair! This is me about 10 minutes after I got out of the shower. 2. Use a curl defining cream or gel and scrunch it through your hair. Yep, from bottom to scalp. I used my current favorite Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream which smells great and is such a good amount for the price. 3. Grab an oversized t-shirt. The softer the better, but as long as it’s cotton. 4. Turn your head upside-down. Take the bottom two corners of the shirt and tie them around your forehead to your neck like a headband. 5. Grab your hair and “plop” or stuff your hair into the shirt while pulling up the rest of it. 6. Trap your hair in the shirt and wrap the sleeves up around your head like a headband again. 7. Tie the sleeves together in the front! 8. Leave it on for 20-60 minutes. My hair usually takes about 8-10 hours to fully air dry so I let mine sit for an hour. 9. Take your hair out of the shirt and let it air dry the rest of the way. If it gets too crunchy, re-wet it with water to further disperse the curl cream or gel. ...VOILA! My hair looks super voluminous and full. My curls are also really defined and beautiful, I also love how my strands aren’t clumped together so it looks lighter and thinner. I really love how it turned out. Have you used the curly girl method? What’s your favorite curl cream or gel to use with it? #CheriePartner

Dealing with curly, thick, dry hair...
Dealing with curly, thick, dry hair...
Hi friends! I have had thick, curly, dry hair for my whole life. Bleaching it definitely added to the dryness and frizziness! Because my hair is so dry, I NEVER use hot tools on it, nor do I ever blow dry. Air drying is key for this hair type—especially if you have a wall of dense, thick hair like me! When air drying, first I’ll let my hair chill after the shower for about an hour (towel drying is NOT a thing with thick hair lmaooo) so my roots are less damp but my ends are still soaked. Then, I’ll take a quarter sized amount of a curl styling cream (today I’m using the Briogeo - Curl Charisma Rice Amino + Avocado Leave–In Defining Cream — it is so good for my curls and inexpensive) and finger comb it through my hair. This prevents tangles and knots from forming. Then, to make sure the product is evenly dispersed i will wet my hands with water and finger comb back through. To keep my hair out of my face while it’s air drying, I’ll usually clip or pin it back with bobby pins. 24 hours later through the humidity my hair is less frizzy than it should be, but the leave in curl cream is still in there so you can refresh your curls by finger combing again with wet hands! This cream lets me have my hair styled like this for the whole week before I wash again! What’s your main tip for thick, frizzy, curly hair?
