The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA fades scars
The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA fades scars
About a year ago I banged my ankle on one of those stupid bird scooter things and it immediately swelled up and bruised in the worst possible way. I think it took a full 6 months before it stopped hurting and the bruising went down but a year later I still had what I would describe as a bruise shadow. I don't know if there's a technical term for it, but its a noticeable dark spot that just would not go away. Anyway, earlier this year I accidentally bought some Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA from the Ordinary because it had been shelved wrong at Ulta. I tried it on my face and within a month it had evened out my freckles which always come out in full force in the summer. I was actually blown away at how well it worked on my face I decided to try it on a few dark spots on my legs, including this bruise. The only skin I'm really self conscious about besides my face is my lower legs. Over the years I've hacked them to sh*t hiking, climbing, running, and doing crazy outdoor stuff so my legs are covered in spots and scars. Since I was done using the AA 2% + HA on my face I figured why not try it on my legs. Within a month of spotty use I feel like I'm actually seeing the bruise shadow fade! I never really considered using TO stuff on other spots on my body, but because it's so inexpensive I really don't feel bad experimenting with it and I'm pretty stoked that it seems to be working. Might be worth a shot if you struggle with spots elsewhere on your body as well. Full routine out of the shower daily: 1. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA one drop on each spot on my legs, rub in and wait for it to dry. 2. DERMELECT - Runway Ready Luxury Foot Treatment on my feet and ankles Love this.... makes my feet look post-pedi every day! Also fragrance free! 3. CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin on my legs all the way up to my waist. 4. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Oil With Vitamin E over the CeraVe. Another game changer, I feel like it gives my legs a little glow without being in the sun.

The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA - Review🦋 🦋Description: Alpha Arbutin reduces the looks of spots and hyper-pigmentation. It’s used at a high 2% concentration versus a standard concentration of 1% and supported with a next-generation form of Hyaluronic Acid for enhanced delivery. Alpha Arbutin is much stronger in effect than Arbutin or Beta Arbutin. 🦋My Thoughts: After read so many good reviews and people kept raving about this serum, I finally bought it. I already finished this one bottle, and eventhough at first I was almost disappointed with this serum but I kept on using and after awhile this serum has caught my heart.😂 First 2 weeks, eventhough this serum is not an acid. I had a little bit of bad reaction / redness. I stopped using it for a week and then i brave myself to continue. Oh dear, I can see my skin brighten and hydrates. The texture is clear and I would say a bit thick. I can see my old scars faded and my skin tone improved. A good booster to my snail serum too! Or maybe the snail serum is a good booster for this😂 And I love the simple and minimalist packaging!❤️

The Ordinary products you SHOULD MIX them to boost more Vitamin C.
The Ordinary products you SHOULD MIX them to boost more Vitamin C.
I am going to give you a general idea of what you can mix, and I am also going to share my favorite pairings that I like to use in my skincare routines. The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I want to share with you today that I see results with, and that worked together. I love to incorporate The Ordinary hyaluronic acids 2% + b5. It is a hydration product, so this will give you a lot of hydration and moisture. So if you have dry skin, this is a serum that you want to incorporate into your skincare routine. It can be used in morning and night, and this can be paired with anything. You can pair this with retinol, and you also can pair this with an acid. I like to add this for extra hydration, especially when I am using those higher strength products. Still, I especially like to use this in the morning in combination with my Vitamin C. The vitamin C that I want to use from The Ordinary is The Ordinary ascorbic acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%. So I do like to use these two products in the same routine in the morning. And if there is a day that I don’t feel like using The Ordinary Vitamin C, and I am using a different brand. I will pair my hyaluronic acids with a different type of vitamin c, which is completely fine. So, I love this pairing, and I love how this makes my skin feel. After using this pairing, I see a lot of brightness in my skin. And I love the way that the Hyaluronic Acids+b5 gives my skin that beautiful glow, so when I am wearing makeup on top, I feel like this serum shines through and gives my skin an elegant dewy, youthful look. And I think that is beautiful in skincare is to have a subtle sheen to your skin. I think it looks healthy. So if you are looking for a good pairing and you want to boost your Vitamin.

The Ordinary: Does it Actually Work?
The Ordinary: Does it Actually Work?
The Ordinary products all over the internet and people seem to really love their products ( and how affordable they are! ) This brand has helped tons of people so I wanted to try it out for myself. 😊 UPDATE: I’ve been using these for 2 weeks and my skin looks SO MUCH healthier and glowy!🙌 I have combination, sensitive, acne prone skin with hyperpigmentation and these are the products that I chose: The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution This is a glycolic acid toner meaning that it is a chemical exfoliant and in my opinion it’s better than a physical exfoliant because you’re not physically scrubbing away at your skin and with that being said, a slight stinging sensation is normal. This exfoliates, brightens, and promotes even tone and texture. You can use it Am + Pm just as long as you wear spf in the daytime. Best part is it’s only $8.70 CAD!🌸 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% This is a holy grail product for acne. It is a water based serum that greatly improves blemishes, enlarged pores, and oily skin. You can apply this Am + Pm without spf and I can’t wait to see how my skin gets better thanks to this serum! It’s only $5.90 CAD which is amazing for a product this effective!✨ (note: when applying, it does look a bit soapy because it is niacinamide but it blends out nicely) (Do not mix with vitamin C!!) The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% Aka vitamin C.. This has tons of benefits for your skin. It helps with hyperpigmentation, dark spots, uneven tone, signs of age, and it is an antioxidant. It’s an oil based serum meaning it should be applied after water based products and before your moisturizer. You can apply Am + Pm ( with spf ) and remember that vitamin C shouldn’t be mixed with Niacinamide! 🦋 The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Alpha Arbutin is a brightening serum, it fades hyperpigmentation and dark spots. It’s water based and can be used Am + Pm ( with spf ) and it’s only $8.90 CAD💐 The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA This is a super hydrating moisturizer! It has a bit of a thicker, creamy texture to it and my initial thoughts were that it was going to feel too heavy and greasy on my face but once it was all blended in, it felt pretty good! It’s not too shiny on the more oily areas of my face and it keeps the dry areas nice and hydrated. It’l definitely seal in all the goodness underneath:)💖 UPDATE:The moisturizer as I mentioned is thicker than the ones I typically go for and I noticed that when I apply it and go to bed shortly after, my face sticks to my silk pillow case so it definitely takes a bit to sink into your skin hehe ** Please do your research before purchasing from The Ordinary because their products are at higher concentrations of specific ingredients. Some need to be worn with spf or layered differently and some can’t be mixed with others.**😘

Morning Routine 🌞
Morning Routine 🌞
CeraVe - Hydrating Cream-To-Foam Cleanser I start off with washing my face to give my face a fresh start. I’ve been using this twice a day cleanser for about two months and really like how it feels on my skin. It doesn’t feel like it strips my skin. MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater After washing my face I like to spray this on my face and a cotton. It feels good on my skin; however it does have a lot of fragrance. If I notice my skin is feeling irritated I try to use neutrogena’s alchohol free toner instead. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA Pretty hydrating and has helped with hyperpigmentation! Great price for product. My face feels hydrated and fresh after putting this on. Sunblock 🌞- I bought this one when I went to get a facial recently. It’s not a known brand and I’m not crazy about it. It’s pretty creamy and leaves my face a bit oily. Not bad, but I don’t think I’d purchase again.

Ingredients for hyperpigmentation- brightening
Ingredients for hyperpigmentation- brightening
Prevention is better than treating!!! So, Sunscreen is first! ✨😉 You can always start incorporating these Ingredients in your routine, just to keep hyperpigmentation at bay!! ❤️ For those of you who’ve had a rough time either dealing with the aftermath of skin inflammation or a dull skin complexion, Here are the skincare ingredients that can help you control melanocyte’s baby melanin production. INGREDIENTS AND TIPS FOR BRIGHTENING: ✨Ingredients you want to look for are:  • Hydroquinone  • Kojic acid  • Vitamin C  • Vitamin E (A powerful classic duo with Vitamin C)  • Azelaic Acid  • Arbutin  • Niacinamide  • Licorice Extract  • And many more! All these ingredients work mainly to inhibit the 'tyrosinase enzyme' that’s responsible for melanin. With them on your side, you can finally gain some control of your skin! Another step you can take to brighten your skin complexion is to help accelerate the skin regeneration process with regular exfoliation. Using AHA or retinol products are awesome for this, as they work by smoothing off the “discolored” skin cells (aka hyperpigmentation) on the surface and replacing them with a new skin cells. REMEMBER that this is NOT an overnight kind of thing, so be patient with whatever product you’re using to see results! Persistence and patience are key, and slowly but surely, good things will come. Last but certainly not least, we’ve got one more step for you: ALWAYS PUT ON YOUR SUNSCREEN! Because no matter what your skin type, color, or condition is, your skin is always in need of UV protection. This is especially important for achieving and maintaining bright skin as sunscreen acts to shield your skin and prevent UV-rays from provoking melanocyte into producing more melanin. My favorite products: NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% LA ROCHE-POSAY - MELA-D PIGMENT CONTROL GLYCOLIC ACID SERUM GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner NATURIUM - Azelaic Topical Acid 10% ORIGINS - Ginzing Into the Glow Brightening Serum
