Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo
Why It's SpecialThis product completely changed my mind about dry shampoos. I have oily hair and really need to wash daily to make it look presentable. Using this, I’ve been able to cut down to one or two washes a week. It’s lightweight, non-sticky and, best of all, it smells delish.

𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞! 🛀🏻 Sometimes we get so caught up during the week that sometimes we don’t have time to 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 (you know)...let alone have the time style it?! 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐑𝐎𝐑! I’m talking about putting your hair up in a bun...& sometimes with some questionable smells & maybe if you’re more on the oily side your hair feels like an olive oil grease party...party of 1! Not to mention...it looks like a lackluster flop of hair. 💭 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐨? 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 ?! I have to admit when I first heard of the concept of a “𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐨” I was immediately grossed out & wanted nothing to do with it..little did I know I was way 𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐌𝐄𝐃. 🍵 Here is the 𝐓𝐞𝐚 on a product I thought was the biggest waste of money & time. 💨 In retrospect a DS is really just an oil absorbing powder that when it is applied to the hair it can soak up excess grease & dirt without getting it wet. 𝐇𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫, it also adds volume to droopy hair, texture & it can also make your hair smell nice IF you’re into that! 💨 I wanted to 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐝𝐫𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐬 that made me go from being a skeptic to always having a dry shampoo in my stash! 💨 𝐎𝐔𝐀𝐈 @theouai 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐨. Some people complained about the scent being too strong but I happen to enjoy it. And secondly 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐤𝐚 @amika 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐤 𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐨*! These both not only makes my hair feel fresh but makes it look fresh...so you’d never know how long it’s been since my last “wash!” ✏️ I want to also say that washing your hair too much (𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞’𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟) can overly dry your scalp which can lead to dandruff so if you really want to see what works for you conduct a little experiment & see how long it takes for your hair to reach that “washing” point & go from there!

AMIKA PERK UP DRY SHAMPOO REVIEW
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo Review an unexpected haircare fav i discovered in 2020 was this dry shampoo from @amika! because ya girl has the typical fine hair + oily roots, dry shampoo is a pretty big staple for me. i was able to try out a mini size of this in a @sephora hair care set & loved it! this dry shampoo contains Sea Buckthorn Berry like many other Amika products which is meant to protect and nourish the hair. i found that this dry shampoo did a good job at absorbing excess oil without weighing my hair down. at first application, it does spray white but when brushed out, it doesn't seem to leave a white cast on my dark hair. i enjoy the bit of volume it adds to my hair and it also happens to smell *really freaking good!!* using this, i'm able to extend my hair washing days to about 4 or 5 days. i know this is a little more pricey compared to drugstore dry shampoos but def a good option if u don't mind treating yourself a little! for $25 you get 5.3 oz which definitely lasts awhile. i noticed there usually are some good black friday deals on this product and i managed to get 4 of these for $32 on @birchbox so i'm literally set on dry shampoo for all of 2021 HAHA i feel like i do be neglecting my hair sometimes so i think this year, i'll be paying a little more attention to my haircare. i'm keen to try more from amika so if u have any amika must haves, pls let me know in the comments!!

Last minute Halloween hair & makeup 🔥
Here’s a very simple, last minute Aries inspired lewk for all your (hopefully covid conscious) Halloween get-togethers! I’m just gonna go ahead and say I’m not very into Halloween, BUT I’m very into playing with makeup and doing cute things to my hair that don’t take a lot of effort. For this look I literally just did two small buns on top of my head and shaped them to look like little horns, and did a cute makeup look! It’s super easy! You just need some dry shampoo, I used the amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo because it is my absolute favorite and to add a bit of grip to my hair. Make two small ponytails at the very top of your head, twirl the pony on it self using Bobbie pins as you go to pin it on your head and start shaping the horns. It works best if you have longer hair than mine, but you can still do them on short hair! Then spray some hairspray so they stay put. I used amika: - Fluxus Touchable Hairspray it holds everything together, but it doesn’t look crunchy or leaves a whitecast. My makeup was inspired in my sun sign, I’m an Aries sun, Leo rising, Virgo moon, so double fire sign over here 😈 I thought the makeup paired with the hair would look super cute! I put on my favorite red dress to stay in theme et voilà! I recommend looking for a big, luscious pair of falsies because I think they would make this eye makeup look out of this world, but I’m working with what I have right now 😌 What are your plans for this Halloween? I’m most likely to stay home, watch a scary movie and drink some PSL or something 🎃 #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

TOP 3 AMIKA PRODUCTS FOR VOLUME
amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo The dry shampoo is amazing! I used to wash my hair almost daily and after using this I can go at least three days without washing now. Truly a miracle worker! Doesn’t leave any white cast either and smells so refreshing. amika: - Un.Done Volume and Matte Texture Spray The volume and matte spray gives my roots the volume I needed. I have straight, flat hair and using this gives me hair LIFE!!! this + the dry shampoo is such a good combo. Also smells amazing and isn’t sticky at all. amika: - The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray If you live in the south, you need this!!! I live in Florida and this has been an absolute life savior. My hair would always get frizzy and this has helped so much with the frizz and just keeping my hair looking smooth.

My Favorite Dry Shampoo🌸
I have fine thin hair that has some bleach damage to it. Lately I’ve been showering what feels like constantly because I’ve been going to work in person and with the pandemic, I’m trying to be extra cautious. Because of this, my hair is getting washed a bit more than normal and it’s making it so oily super fast. 💕This product came at the perfect time! Amika gifted me this cute little set and I ADORE the dry shampoo. 🌸This dry shampoo of course smells amazing- all Amika products do but that’s not the only reason I love it. This product doesn’t make my hair feel heavy or chalky and doesn’t leave any white powder in my hair that I have to try to brush out or hide after use. It leaves hair soft while absorbing any icky excess oil while smelling great. A little also seems to go a long way. ✨I use this by my roots of course and lift up sections to get extra spots in the area of concern. Then I brush my hair and it’s good to go. 🌸The packaging is a dream and this product works! I’m so glad I have a mini set from them with it because you know this is already in my sister’s room 🤣 amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo #CheriePartner *set gifted by Amika via Octoly

My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.3 DAYS AGO
