My AM/PM Routines - Combination to dry skin
My skincare routine varies. I find listening to my skin & responding to it each day works better than having a strict routine In this post I’ll explain how I combine my regular products in different ways & why I change it up day to day All the specific products I use are tagged in the photos 🌞AM ROUTINES🌞 REGULAR AM This is what I do most mornings 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Vitamin C 3. Alcohol-free toner 4. Face oil 5. Tinted moisturiser w/ SPF ➡️ The toner I use isn’t the traditional, astringent kind so it actually soothes my skin after an active product OUTDOOR DAY If I expect to be in the sun a lot! 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Vitamin C 3. Alcohol-free toner 4. SPF50 5. Tinted moisturiser w/SPF ➡️ I ditch the face oil when I’m wearing extra SPF to avoid feeling too greasy ➡️ The tinted moisturiser isn’t necessary for sun protection but I like the extra colour/coverage. SENSITIVE DAY 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Alcohol-free toner 3. Nourishing face oil 4. Tinted moisturiser w/ SPF ➡️ I play it cautious. If my skin is feeling reactive I’ll ditch the Vit C (as well as other actives ie retinol/chemical exfoliants) MAKEUP PREP 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Vitamin C 3. Alcohol-free toner 4. Priming oil 5. Foundation ➡️ My priming oil is a 2 in 1 - it works as both a primer & moisturiser LAZY DAYS 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Tinted moisturiser w/ SPF ➡️ Even on days when I can’t be bothered, I always cleanse & apply a product with SPF 🌚PM ROUTINES🌚 REGULAR PM 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Alcohol-free toner 3. Glycolic eyecream 4. Nourishing face oil 5. Moisturiser ➡️ I use eyecream because I am prone to milia there & glycolic acid can help to prevent/treat it. Also my moisturiser is heavy (my skin is mostly dry) however heavy moisturisers can exacerbate milia so I need a different one for my eyes RETINOL Roughly 3 times a week 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Nourishing face oil 3. Retinol 4. Moisturiser ➡️ I’m new to retinol & it dries me out. I’ve seen a few dermatologists recommend applying it in between two layers of moisturiser to combat this & this has worked for me ➡️ I don’t use my glycolic eyecream on these nights as there’s no need - retinol can help prevent/treat milia too MAKEUP REMOVAL 1. Micellar water 2. Oil cleanse 3. Gentle cleanser 4. Nourishing face oil 5. Moisturiser ➡️ I use pure coconut oil as an oil cleanser which can’t be rubbed into the eyes, so I remove eye makeup with micellar first EXFOLIATION Roughly 2 times a week 1. Gentle cleanser 2. Chemical exfoliant 3. Alcohol-free toner 4. Nourishing face oil 5. Moisturiser LAZY 1. Nourishing cleansing wipes 2. Facial mist ➡️ I keep these in my bedside draw so I can do this routine from the comfort of my bed! 🌸MASKS🌸 REFRESH 1. Exfoliate 2. Soothing sheet mask ACNE 1. Clay (cleans pores) 2. Pure honey (anti bacterial/inflammatory) RELAX 1. Clay 2. Aloe gel *Cleanse before masks & moisturise after!

New Instant Exfoliating swipes 🍊✨
I found these new Exfoliating Swipeys by @goto skincare!! ✨❤️GO-TO - Exfoliating Swipeys These are instant exfoliation pads / wipes that work similar to The Ordinary AHA BHA peeling solution or Olehenriksen PHAT Glow facial! What I liked more about these is, it is in pre-soaked pads format with a clear, lightweight solution that works haddle free and is very easy to swipe on face anywhere! 🍁If you don't know about this brand: The brand is Founded by Zoe Foster Blake. Go-To was founded by Australian beauty editor and author Zoë Foster Blake. She created Go-To after years spent using and reviewing bazillions of products, from supermarket to spa brands, and writing a book on the basics of beauty called Amazinger Face. She received a lot of very honest feedback from women in her decade of beauty journalism and blogging. And most of it was about skin care, and how utterly baffling people find the products, ingredients, and the application thereof. She even appeared on Beauty Within YouTube channel for an interview and told a little bit about her story and ideology behind the brand. ✨ 🍁About the product: Single-use exfoliating pads soaked in an all-natural solution that gets rid of dead skin cells and hydrates the skin. They combined the well-documented effectiveness of lactic acid, the most gentle of all AHAs, with ultra-hydrating essential oils to create a face exfoliator that thoroughly removes dead skin cells (the cause of dull skin and congestion), refines skin texture, minimises the appearance of fine lines and deeply moisturises. And all in 60 seconds, and using just one sweet, disposable little cotton pad. Exfoliating Swipeys were created to make exfoliation simple and fast, and leave you with skin that's healthy and happy. 🍁Hero Ingredients: ✨Lactic Acid Naturally derived Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) exfoliates the skin’s surface and assists in cell renewal and skin rejuvenation. Keeps skin softer and looking younger for longer. ✨Aloe Vera Highly nourishing and soothing on the skin, aloe vera is rich in vitamins c, e and beta carotene which helps to reduce flaking and restore suppleness to dry skin. ✨Pink Starburst Extracted from the snack cupboard, excellent for improving mood and ruining your dinner. 🍁My experience & thoughts: ✨Thede work effectively in exfoliating skin and giving that glow to your dull skin. ✨They look similar to @firstaidbeauty Facial Radiance pads FIRST AID BEAUTY - Facial Radiance Pads and may seem like you have to keep them on your skin for overnight or for longer hours, but THEY'RE NOT TO KEEP ON SKIN! ✨Instead they work similar to Peelimg solutions or Instant chemical Exfoliating facials, You have to swipe them on your face leaving the eye are and keep it on for only 60 Seconds and rinse off. ✨I liked the slightly jagged and crystalized side of the wipe, which helps in mild physical exfoliation along with the chemical one. ✨These will work on All skin types including sensitive ones as they're very gentle and don't irritate skin what so ever. 🍁Do I recommend these? ✨Yes! Especially for sensitive and rosacea prone skin types, these are a perfect option to have to exfoliate skin. ✨But they're a little but pricey for the function and quantity. The product retails for 46$ for 50 pads! This is the only 'Meh' factor for me. ✨But for what's it worth I think people looking for gentle options for exfoliation and also Beginners in skincare can totally make a good use of this! I liked the simple, minimalistic packaging, BS free approach to skincare and Ingredients about this brand and products. Would you like to try these??
💖BEAUTY ON A BUDGET💖 Where to Spend & Save
Which products are worth the $$$... and which aren’t? 💖HAIR💖 SPEND on shampoo & toner if you colour your hair Shampoo is for cleaning your hair (duh!) but cheaper brands can contain damaging ingredients that strip colour Quality shampoo for your hair colour = prolonging colour = more time between hair appointments = more money saved in the long run Similarly, a good quality toner (especially for blondes) is a good idea KEVIN.MURPHY - Blonde.Angel.Wash MR.SMITH - Mr. Smith Blond SAVE on conditioner & hair masks The purpose of conditioner is to replenish the hair’s nutrients & moisture post shampooing. There’s plenty of great budget friendly options out there to achieve this Herbal Essences - Bio:Renew Argan Oil Of Morocco Repairing Color-Safe Conditioner Similarly, hair masks are great but there are plenty of budget friendly alternatives - like coconut oil! 💖BODY💖 SPEND on products where the quality really shows, like fake tan Cheaper fake tans often aren’t worth the savings. They don’t last as long, the colour isn’t as natural & they often transfer more easily onto clothing & bedding JOSIE MARAN - Ultimate Argan Tanning Duo SAVE on products where quality budget options are aplenty - like body scrub & moisturiser This is an easy area to save money in, especially considering how much product is needed to regularly treat the entire body! frank body - Original Coffee Scrub PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion 💖SKIN💖 A good rule of thumb with skincare is to SPEND on active ingredients like Vitamin C, Retinol & acid exfoliants DRUNK ELEPHANT - C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum DRUNK ELEPHANT - A-Passioni Retinol Cream GO-TO - Exfoliating Swipeys SAVE by using natural products with proven benefits. Cucumber slices are great for de-puffing eyes. Honey has antibacterial & anti inflammatory products so makes a great face mask. Coconut oil is a great alternative to more expensive oil cleansers Also micellar water is basically the same across all brands - don’t waste your money on an expensive version! sukin - Micellar Cleansing Water 💖MAKEUP💖 SPEND on foundation & tinted moisturiser with SPF These are the kinds of products that you want to last all day & protect you from sun damage. Don’t skip quality here WESTMAN ATELIER - Vital Skin Foundation Stick Atelier (for skin with undertones) JOSIE MARAN - Argan Daily Moisturizer Mineral SPF 47 Protect and Perfect SAVE on mascara & lip balm I’ve tried expensive versions of these & cheaper ones... & hardly noticed a difference to be honest! #Mecca Max - Eye Max Volumising Mascara[products]#[FiveStars] LUCAS' PAPAW REMEDIES - Lucas' Papaw Ointment Lip Balm

Beauty Product #Shelfie - My Everyday Faves!
These are my favourite products for my daily skin & hair care routine. For more details on each product see below! ⭐️ Skin care (bottom shelf) GO-TO - Properly Clean I avoid harsh cleansers as I have naturally dry skin. This cleanser has me feeling clean and fresh but doesn’t dry me out. GO-TO - Exfoliating Swipeys I am new to chemical exfoliation but I am enjoying this product so far. I use it 2-3 times a week. MARIO BADESCU - Aloe Vera Toner I use this alcohol free toner under my eye area to prevent milia & around my nose to combat sebum build up. GO-TO - Face Hero I would give this oil 6 starts if I could! It is amazing. So light & soothing yet incredibly moisturising. JOSIE MARAN - Argan Moonstone Drops Makeup Priming and Highlighting Oil I don’t wear make up often, but when I do I use this oil because it doubles as a primer. It has a shimmer in it that makes my skin glow. GO-TO - Zincredible 15 Tinted I use this as my morning moisturiser. It is slightly tinted so provides some coverage & also has SPF15+. MECCA - To Save Face SPF50+ Superscreen For days when I need full sun protection, I use this product. Despite being SPF50+ it still feels light on my face. It also has a slight tint through it. Perfect for beach days! 💇🏼♀️ Hair care (top shelf) KEVIN.MURPHY - Blonde.Angel.Wash This is basically a shampoo designed for... well, blondes. It prevents your colour from going brassy. It is also sulphate free. KEVIN.MURPHY - Blonde.Angel Treatment This is a treatment conditioner that pairs well with the Blonde Angel Wash. Together they help me me maintain my cool blonde tones in between hair appointments. MR.SMITH - Mr. Smith Blond This is a very effective, fast working treatment that also tones the brassiness out of blonde hair. My hair tends to go brassy very easily so I use this product once a fortnight to prevent that. KEVIN.MURPHY - Heated.Defense This is a new product for me & I have used it a handful of times & overall been happy with its effectiveness at protecting my hair when I blow dry it. KEVIN.MURPHY - Shimmer Me Blonde I LOVE this product. Spray at the end of styling your hair to give your blonde tones some extra shimmer & shine. KEVIN.MURPHY - Doo Over This product is like a 3 in 1. It is a light hold finishing spray, adds texture and also works as a dry shampoo. 💆🏼♀️ Other 100BON - Davana & Vanille Bourbon EDP This is my daily scent. Very affordable & smells divine. Doesn’t last all day unfortunately buy still great. MYAURA ORGANICS - All Natural Deodorant Bergamont Lime Coconut I’m big on aluminium free deodorant. I love the lime scent from this brand.

Whole review of GO TO SKINCARE
I have done single reviews about this products of what was my experience using it. But to make it easier for everyone here a whole review of all of them in one. Let’s start with GO-TO - Fancy Face I love this cleanses oil, it’s so amazing to definitely remove make up, sunscreen and other yukky stuff that have stick to your face during the day. Just apply to dry skin and wipe off everything away. This also keeps my skin hydrated and feels so nice and soft. This I will definitely happy to keep using. Second step of the product GO-TO - Properly Clean This cleanser is foam type, first time of using and over time it just felt like it wasn’t doing enough for me, for me I would have to double cleanse every time to feel that my skin is clean enough to move on with the next step. Also every morning I wake up my skin was peeling and all dry and flaky, imagine how I reacted when I looked in the mirror? Yes you don’t want to know the words that came out of my mouth. For me this cleanser is definitely a past past past. But again it might work or have worked different for you but this was my experience with this cleanser. I’ve stopped using after a week. Third step of the product GO-TO - Exfoliating Swipeys Omg!! This exfoliating pads has just ...swearing... my face/skin. First time use tough side felt like I’m using a sanding paper on my skin, YEP! Ouch! I was shocked how rough it was! Next day skin was DRY, FLAKY, IRRITATED! It was bad bad bad. After a week I tried it again, Soft side only this time, Not as rough but the next day same thing again DRY, FLAKY and IRRITATED 😤. I was like that’s it just not working for me. But then 2 weeks after, I couldn’t just waste products 🤷🏻♀️ so I’ll try again but just pat the pad into my skin to just get the product on. Next day same thing again!! Then that was it the product is just to strong for my skin just a no no no. Fourth step of the product GO-TO - Face Hero okay okay this face hero oil is the BOMB! Love love love this oil. It’s amazing and keeps my skin hydrated and glowing and dewy. I would keep using this oil definitely. You’ll just have to try for yourself! I have recommended this to my cousin who have eczema and her reply to me “NO MORE DRY SPOTS!” She was also amaze by it. Definitely a 💛💛💛 for this oil. Last step of the product GO-TO - Very Useful Face Cream This face cream is light weight, it’s not thick thick but works perfectly on top of the face hero oil. It keeps my skin hydrated and all, but sometimes it also feels like is doing nothing 🤷🏻♀️ I gave it a 4 star because it is nice but I’ll definitely rather use a different moisturiser that’s more thicker and that I can actually feel it even more on my skin if that make sense. But overall I think the GO-TO - Face Hero is the only one doing all is job to keep my skin hydrated which is not enough for me.
