Don’t buy this!
I’d rather get coal than this oil-free cleanser! This cleanser is marketed as a lightweight cleanser meant to control excess oil and wash away impurities (as most cleansers for oily skin do) so it’s evidently targeting oil control and those with an oily skin type. It’s also advertised as a non-stripping cleanser that’s safe even for sensitive skin. It has a thick soapy consistency and lathers up quite a lot as you work it into the skin. I used this product, on and off, for about a month before I decided it wasn’t for me. Whenever I would use this product I noticed it would leave a residue on my face that felt almost greasy or waxy which is the opposite of what I want from a cleanser (specially an oil controlling one). I was using this a while back when I had an oilier skin type and was trying to control the oil and was hoping it would help but it almost did the opposite and each time I used it I was left with that greasy and waxy feeling on my skin. I would definitely NOT recommend this product to anybody, sadly because I love Kiehl’s as a brand but this cleanser just wasn’t for me. Upon reading reviews online I did also notice that a good handful of people were having the same problem as me so I don’t think it’s particular to my skin. Overall, just wouldn’t recommend this product and I definitely don’t think it’s worth it.
