my favorite eyeshadow palette
My favorite eyeshadow palette of all time is the Too Faced - Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette ! I lusted over this for years and finally bought it one day a few years ago. I used to use it nearly every day, but stopped wearing eyeshadow for a while. Anyway, it’s the first one I pick up when I’m looking to do a look, from casual errand running to nights out to work! If I could only have one palette, it’d be this one. I know, it sounds crazy. There’s not a huge shade range, and there’s mostly browns and peachy pinks. But that’s all I want in any palette. I’m drawn to these colors and every time I pick up a palette, I only end up using these colors. The white and cream/pastel shades are my least used, and the darkest brown. I really enjoy the peach cobbler shade and peach sangria the most, and I can create the best look with these two. I really like the formula, it’s pretty pigmented and there’s not much color fall off throughout the day. I like using a thin primer with this, but nothing too cakey! I know too faced has gone through some scandal lately regarding transphobic remarks, so I thought I was going to have to stop supporting them. However, they fired the person who made the comment towards an influencer, so I reckon they did the right thing. This was $45 which is steep for me, but I truly love this product!
Too Faced-Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette
Since Halloween is coming I’m starting to try more fun makeup. I tried to do a cat like look, but not quite the stereotypical menacing black cat. Palette used was the too faced just peachy Colors: peach tea, just peachy and peach punch around the eyes peach punch blush fresh-picked contour peach meringue for color corrections I highly recommend this palette, it’s my only nude set but I don’t need anything else. I prefer brighter colors over more dimmed down charcoals and browns. It’s definitely pricy, but I don’t regret buying it. I’m generally against palettes as I’m afraid to buy a set and only use half or some of the colors, but I’ve dipped my brush into each color here. Next I’m looking for neons I can buy separately.
90’s pop makeup 💄
This is the most fun I’ve had with makeup in a long time. I thought I’d try my hand at a “vintage” makeup look, inspired by mid/late 90’s pop icons, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. While I’d imagine most people in the 90’s didn’t go for this look on a regular basis, it seems like the celebrities DID! If I was a young adult in the 90’s, I wouldn’t have been rocking this every day, but instead thin eyeliner, dark lipsticks, and no blush. But this was SUPER fun to create and now I’m wondering if I would have at least tried it. My skin type: combination, acne prone, sensitive, rosacea. My skin color: I have light skin, but not as light as fair. Below I’ll take you through my steps for creating this look (base, then eyes, then cheeks, and finally lips). Base boscia - Skin Perfecting BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 not my favorite, mainly because it has an orange tint to it. But it was PERFECT for this look - I feel like most celebs in the 90’s were terribly orange-tanned. I applied this with a sponge to get a natural base. e.l.f. - Hydrating Camo Concealer love this one for under my eyes + high points of my face; most of the photos of Britney I remember have pretty high contrast between her concealer and her colorful makeup! I blended this out with a brush ever so gently to retain some of that brightness! Eye makeup Freck BEAUTY - UFOMFG one of my favorite palettes of all time - it’s totally 90’s! I used the light blue shade on my entire lid, and then the dark blue shade on the crease. I applied them both with a stiff brush to pack in color! Too Faced - Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette I used the pinkish purple color at the bottom under my eyes mostly, but brought it up to create a bit of cat eye and line the top of my eyes. A very thin brush helps a lot! ciaté - Wonderwand Intensely Volumising Mascara I layered it four times to get this spider-leg, long, curled eyelash look. Both top and bottom lashes got this treatment. I alternated eyes so the formula could dry down a bit. Cheeks Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color I used this in shade storm to get that rich pink blush that was so dreamy for the 90’s. I extended it much higher up my cheekbones than most of us do today - and didn’t blend much either. I mostly used my fingers and then a stipple brush to blend out the edges. Lips SEPHORA COLLECTION - Rouge Gel Lip Liner Meh, this liner is usually not my go-to on a normal day, but it works so well for this look! I outlined my lips a bit so that I could have a strong base to gloss up. FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer one of the best glosses on the market, this is IMPERATIVE to a 90’s look. Glossy lips were a staple - you needed to be kissable! This formula is not sticky, not drying, kinda hydrating actually! #CheriePartner

One eyeshadow palette for multiple-purpose😍
Too Faced - Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette This is my go-to eyeshadow!!! The color of “Peach meringue” is really near to a white one. Precisely speaking, the color of it ought to be the beige. Not too white and not too yellowish, this shade is really good for usage of highlighting. Applying them to your forehead, your chin and the area around your cheekbones. The texture of it won’t be too creamy like a concealer, so it won’t be long-lasting and you’d better freshen up often. What’s more, the color can be also used as setting powder. Usually, setting powder might take away part of the glow of makeup. But if you make a shimmering eye shadow the setting powder, your face would still naturally glow. ‘Peach tart” and “chocolate dipped” are two dark brown colours. I often use them to darken up the outer corner of my eyes. Besides, they still function as eyeliners. The peach tart tends to be more brown and the chocolate dipped is more inclined to be black, therefore, I have two colors of eyeliners to use. Moreover, according to the color of your hair, these two are definitely practical as eyebrow powders. If you preferred a soft and gentle one, the brown one would be good. For those wonderful various peachy shades, in addition to being applied for eyes (Do not forget it’s actually an eyeshadow palette), they are perfect for blush. Sweeping different colors of blush for different makeups and occasions. The colors of just peachy and peach punch are totally suitable for a hot summer, because they are bright and like the smell of a sweet peach. “A bottle of iced fruity soda” helps you keep everyone close to you, that’s amazing and crazy! More importantly, a variety of brushes for these multiple purposes should be mentioned. An eyeliner brush can focusly help to draw a line not an area. A powder brush can can used for setting the makeup. For eyeshadow, an eyeshadow brush of course required.

Eyeshadow, blush, highlighter... All you want can be found in this palette!
Too Faced - Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette This is a new Just Peach Palette (AUD45) coming out from TOO Faced last year (2019). As you can see, the appearance of this palette is really cute and mainly has a pinky and peachy tone with gold lines around its hard shell. The shell is sturdy even though it is made of plastic, thus it’s light and easy-to-carry. When unclosing the brand new one last year, there was still a square booklet together with the palette in a paper packing box. This handbook includes three different eyeshadow looks and guides you to imitate the course if you really don't know where to start. When you open the palette, the top side of its packaging has a full sized mirror which is really useful for travelling. What’s more, you can still adjust the angle of the mirror and control it because of the stiff design of the joint. The bottom side presents you 12 beautiful matte colors and a fruity peachy smell. According to the official website, this velvet matte eye shadow is infused with peach and sweet fig milk. The reason why I buy it all is just because of the pink package, the fruity smell and the big mirror. I did these swatches by my fingers. “Peach meringue” is a matte ivory shape, I often use it for highlighter. “Peach butter” and “peaches and cream” are very pinkish so they’re proper for being my daily eyeshadow bases. “Peach tea” and “fresh-picked” are matte caramel shades, which are close to the earth color. “Peach tart” is a deep brown shade, used as eyeliner together with “chocolate dipped” in daily life. I seldom touch “peach punch” , “peach sangria” and “just ripe”. The first one of these three is a peach daiquiri color, bright but striking; as the only shimmering color, the second one is deep and could be more useful in a bar night; the third one is dark purple-like, I have no ideas with it at the moment.

My Everyday Look
Too Faced - Just Peachy Mattes Eyeshadow Palette Is a palette I use literally every single day. The color story is stunning and has all matte shades which is what drew me to it in the first place. I really can’t get enough of this palette. COLOURPOP - Disney Frozen Anna Shadow Palette I love doing brown Smokey looks with pops of color and the gold in this palette is WOW!! There is so much pigmentation and payoff. It took only 2 layers to get the intensity I was going for. I love the purples in the palette too just didn’t use them for this look. JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Velour Liquid Lipstick I’m a sucker for brown lipstick. It’s such a sophisticated look in my opinion. Finding the perfect brown can be tricky though. One swipe of this liquid lip and I was in love. It’s transfer proof and doesn’t dry out your lips! Such a flawless formulation.
