It’s time to share my thoughts
It’s time to share my thoughts on dermalogica Precleanse Oil. I also had the Precleanse Balm, which came with a little mitt (very cute) therefore I will do a comparison between the two as well. The Precleanse Oil: PROS: •very lightweight oil (which I prefer) •removed the makeup nicely and efficiently •emulsifies well •quick and convenient method •love the pump (so easy to dispense product when in hurry) CON: • sometimes it stings when removing the eye makeup, sometimes it doesn’t. Which probably is correlated to my removal method, however I would be happier if it did not sting at all. COMPARISON I am a balm cleansing girl, but I have to admit it takes less time to remove my makeup when using the oil. Simply press the pump and voilàl!On the other hand, the balm has to be squeezed, applied and massaged with the mitt or hands, then rinsed (but great for a pampering night). •balm cleanser is more travel friendly (tube), emulsifies slightly better. •mutual con and something that I would really appreciate if dermalogica would take into consideration. Both products are tricky to use when removing eye makeup as they can sting at times. If dermalogica would remove whatever causes the slight stinginess, these would be 5 ⭐️ products for me. For that reason I will give them 4⭐️ and I do hope that a change it’s gonna come. 😍 It would be amazing because they’re really effective. If you don’t wear eye makeup or you remove it with something else, these products will definitely give you a 5⭐️ experience.

How I Remove Eye Makeup: Part 2How I Remove Eye Makeup: Part 2
How I Remove Eye Makeup: Part 2
After I take off my mascara with my Neutrogena Makeup Wipe, I go in with an oil cleanser to make sure that everything is gone. These days, my go-to is Dermalogica’s Precleanse Cleansing Oil, which is rich in hydrating vitamin E, exfoliating rice bran and soothing rosemary. Since it’s an oil cleanser, it really breaks down mascara and helps remove other impurities from my skin. It’s the first step in my double cleansing routine, so I’ll apply this to my face when it’s dry and still covered in makeup. It’s important to be gentle with the eye area always, especially during this step. So when removing eye makeup, I carefully wipe my lashes to get the remaining mascara/eyeshadow/liner off that my makeup wipe missed. Then, I follow up with the brand’s Special Cleansing Gel to really get my skin squeaky clean. What are your favorite cleansers? dermalogica - Precleanse Cleansing Oil

Today I was cleaning out my bathroom drawers and found this travel size dermalogica - Precleanse Balm balm cleanser from Dermalogica. I knew I had to review it for you guys, because I have THOUGHTS. I also used it one last time just to make sure I didn’t like it (LOL). This precleanse balm is an alternate product version of their precleanse dermalogica - Precleanse Cleansing Oilsolution which is supposed to be used as a first cleansing step to remove dirt, spf, Makeup, and all of the nastiness of the day behind you. It dispenses as an oil-gel consistency but once you start rubbing it into dry skin, it turns into a luxe oil. It washes off easily and leaves just a lil bit of residue to be removed by your second cleanser. One of my favorite parts of this cleanser is that it doesn’t sting my eyes! I love a good balm cleanser but most of them really affect my sensitive eyes and eye area. This one did not! Overall I’d say I like this product but it doesn’t blow me away like other balm cleansers. I also believe this may have caused some breakouts for me but at the time my skin was sensitized so. Be careful! For this travel size tube, you get .5oz of product for $13.50 plus a little silicone scrubber. It’s an OK deal, but I would personally invest it in something else. It lasted me 7-10 uses. I do like that it came in tube and not a jar! If you like Dermalogica products and want to give it a try, go for it. But I would recommend looking elsewhere. I’m giving this 3 out of 5 stars since I really like the packaging but overall the product didn’t blow me away.

The holy grail of makeup removal
The holy grail of makeup removal
I can admit that I wear ALOT of makeup. I’m talking primer, concealer, liquid foundation, more concealer, powder foundation, contour.... on you get the point. I also wear waterproof mascara and lipstick which at the end of the day can be quite fine feat to remove. I’ve always heard great things about @dermalogica but couldn’t bite the bullet. Boy have I wasted years of my life and tons of product. When I tell you one pump of this will completely remove anything and everything off your face, I mean it! It doesn’t matter the brand, this stuff literally melts any and all eye products off gently, and effortlessly. I love the light lemony fresh sent. It feels ultra hydrating on the skin rather than oily. I use this primarily in the evenings before bed before all my other treatments. I have super sensitive eyes and this doesn’t bother them at all. I use this daily and haven’t experienced any dryness or irritation. If you want to try anything from this line, absolutely pick the pre-cleanse.

Hey Babes 👋🏼 I’ve tried so many oil and balm makeup removers and I keep coming back to dermalogica - Precleanse Cleansing Oil ! They use so many oils to create this product like apricot, sunflower, grapefruit, orange, lavender and much more! (Swipe left to see more details). Their formula is gentle on the skin and does a killer good job of removing waterproof and cakey makeup. Just don’t get any in your eye or it’ll sting LOL. 😭😭 It’s important to remember that oil removes oil and water removes water, so starting with a oil cleanse is a must! Using this product is very easy and quick. With dry hands, apply to the skin dry and massage into your face up to 1 minute. You will see your makeup melt away. If you’re not wearing any makeup, you’ll still get that clean feeling. Afterwards, add some water to your face and the oil cleanser turns into a milky white water texture. Your skin is left soft and clean. 🛑 DONT STOP THERE!! Make sure to follow up with a water based cleanser so you remove any potential left over residue on the skin. Shown here is the professional size, but the retail size is 5.1oz for $45. It’s a little pricey, but well worth the money. 😊😊 Xoxo, Blyssey #cheriecreator #dermalogicaprecleanse #precleanse #oilcleanser #makeupremover

dermalogica - Precleanse Cleansing Oil dermalogica - Special Cleansing Gel dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator These 3 products paired together have been absolutely transformative for my skin. The Precleanse cleansing oil never feels too oily or stick and doesn’t sting the eyes. The Essential Cleansing Solution is the perfect cleanser. It never leaves your skin feeling tight or squeaky (which is a huge pet peeve of mine). The Daily Microfoliant is an enzyme based treatment and is amazing for even sensitive skin. I don’t love scrubs as I have acne-prone skin and I never want to spread it around. The scent of all of these products is very mild and pleasant. Having professional grade products makes a huge difference in the quality and the way your skin feels. If you’ve ever been hesitant to try , take this as your sign to dive in.
